I think it pops up more rapidly than that even. I think it is about every two minutes. It greets me on almost every battle I join when I spawn in....the loading time to join a battle is enough for it to cycle though and do it's asinine pop-up thing. OK, I just put a stopwatch on it. It took 2 minutes and 11 seconds for it to pop-up while my account was at idle in the lobby.

I've noticed the first bit of coding conflict. The pause timer now is inaccurate. When you hit pause in Flash, since the obnoxious pop-up, it shows that you have been idle for a certain period. You need to click out of pause and back in to get it to run from 2 minutes. I've clicked on pause to see i only have one to two seconds before getting kicked, even though I've been actively driving and shooting and not touched paused the entire game. This glitch is a direct result of the obnoxious pop-up and one of the fist conflicts the pop-up code has caused. Get rid of the offensive pop-up.

Fun to drive...so floaty. Hard to catch golds unless another tank boosts you up into the gold.

It is HTML vs Flash. It is a mis-feature of HTML and completely missing from Flash. The outlines are one of the things that is wrong with HTML whether it is intended, an oversight, or just bad coding. Flash is superior to HTML in respect to outlines because Flash doesn't have them.

I think what you are saying is exactly what I feel too. It's not the move to HTML or the discontinuing of Flash. It's not even the decision to implement MM or it's poor iteration or other toxic updates. It's the way Tanki goes about things with their bold faced lies, half truths, exaggerations, and the insanely outrageous spins they attach to their agendas. What they could do with honesty and truth they choose to do with coercion, dishonesty, and unethical practices. They go for the con over rational explanation every single time without fail....every time. And that whole con-schtick is typified by this obnoxious and needless pop-up. And they do it with a big smile and tell us how great whatever trash they are spewing is.

Is there any chance, in any realm, where all the players using Flash now or in the next few weeks would all move to HTML? Tanki has already drawn a tine in the sand and said Dec 1st...OK, it's their game and the "too difficult to keep maintaining Flash" has merit. It actually sounds like the truth (which is always subject to scrutiny when coming from Tanki devs). But they are going to keep Flash until Dec 1 So leave us alone until Dec 1st. Why hassle your own players? Tanki is not going to shut down Flash until Dec because there are now and will continue to be players using it.

Isn't the point of map obstructions like walls, bushes, and buildings to provide places to HIDE? Why have different maps at all (well MM has mostly homogenized the maps anyway, but you know what I mean)? The lines (both colors) have just removed one more bit of strategy from the game further degrading it and turning into more of a kiddie shoot-shoot game.

OK, so let's say there actually are casual players that don't know flash is being discontinued (I sincerely doubt that there are many, if any). What value is a pop-up with a timer that makes it keep popping up every couple of minutes and pop-up after spawning into a battle many times over a once a login type of notification pop-up? Why punish flash players for playing flash? They will either move to HTML or quit the game in Dec. How does this annoying pop-up help them in any way what so ever. Is there some sort of cosmic advantage of migrating to HTML in August that I am unaware of? Tanki isn't going to shut down Flash until Dec even if players go to HTML now, so what is the point of hassling players in August? The point of protesting and boycotting HTML is that HTML is lame compared to Flash no matter how many times in in what ways Tanki trys to tell us how much better it is than Flash. It just plainly is not better than Flash and as long as Flash is better I intend to keep playing on it. When the time comes to move to HTML I'm sure I will be playing much less Tanki unless they improve HTML between now and then. I will say that this pop-up has ticked me off enough to start looking at different games. (I now see where Tanki has come up with their "modern ideas" of how a game should look...copying from bigger and better game developers) "I would recommend trying HTML5 at least for short periods of time and gradually get used to it, so that you won't have to experience the sudden change when Flash becomes unavailable." Do we need another poll to ask if players have tried HTML or use HTML at times? Don't you think most or even all players that are reading this have tried or sometimes use HTML? I recognize that your heart is in a good space but this seems kind of patronizing. All I'm asking is to get rid of the timer on the annoying pop-up...once a login is enough. Currently it is harassing your own players for no gain to anyone. It is only causing harm, both in terms of lag/gameplay and Tanki/player relations. One might even call it SABOTAGE.

HTML is up to maybe 70% of what Flash is. HTML is playable but not nearly as pleasant an experience as Flash. HTML has many less features that Flash and only one or two features that Flash doesn't have...and those couple of extra features are just about worthless or an actual detriment to HTML (radar, tank outlines). HTML takes much longer to navigate to anything due to poor page layout and lack of links. There are also much longer loading times between all the extra clicks making HTML tedious to play on. HTML is harder to see almost everything with the washed out color scheme, the lack of contrast, and the tiny size of the fonts and icons. Score markers also suffer from this. The graphics overall are fuzzy with poor definition or clear defined edges...this is very apparent when comparing fonts between HTML and Flash. HTML camera still is off and causes an unpleasant motion sickness like problem mostly due to the fixed horizon created by the purely cosmetic OD indicator and the needless radar....these should be made an off/on choice in options. Overall, HTML has a kiddie game feel to it that is hard to pinpoint as to why, while Flash has a heavier, more realistic feel to driving your tank and using the turret....I coincide that this might just be my bias, but I loved how Tanki felt when I first started playing it and HTML engenders absolutely none of that feeling. ....Oh, and get rid of the hassle pop-up for HTML that has recently started fouling up the last couple of months of Flash...really a cheap and sleazy shot devs.

We will all eventually end up playing on HTML5...seems like Dec 1 actually ? But in the meantime which do you prefer and why? It's my opinion. I never worked for AP so it's all little snippets and pieces of information over the years that led me to this conclusion. The results are pretty clear though that they are not very good at developing games. They kinda get by with half baked measures and band-aid fixes, but when have they ever released something that doesn't play havoc with the game for a week or so while they patched things up to the best of their ability? Maybe it isn't turn over that causes the problem. Maybe they are just incompetent coders with equally incompetent management. Certainly almost all of the management decisions I've seen them make in the last few years (since just before the Paint Separation update) have shown demonstrably incompetent management; based on results. The biggest piece of damning evidence for this is 130,000 players online at peak times a few years ago and now barely 10,000 not to mention the loss of the Latin servers and the majority of the thousands of players that used them, SEA servers, and the China servers that are only getting a few hundred players at peaks now. The numbers are so bad that as of July 13th this year Tanki froze the player count graph (it's still online, but just repeats in a loop) and the new home page is pointedly missing player count numbers where they were once proudly displayed. Management has crushed the life out of this game almost completely with poor and greedy decisions. Here's a quote from an article written about Tanki when they opened an office in Lithuania a few years ago before the Paint Separation update: "AlternativaPlatform, the creators of on-line game Tanki Online, which currently serves over 5 million users monthly, have announced the opening of their office in Lithuania". "However, AlternativaPlatform has set itself the goal of reaching 1 billion unique users per month by the year 2020. To accomplish this, the company plans to develop an ecosystem of 15 games in 25 languages." ....Yeah, a billion unique players...and I think it could have happened at that stage, but they fouled up and hired poor management. That management team has increased AP's bottom line no doubt (IMO) but at the cost of game quality. And that leaves us today with a ghost of what Tanki once was (IMO).

I'm gonna shut for now. I'm just angry that I'm losing what little is left of a game I used to LOVE to play. I have been losing it in stages over the last couple of years. The quality just keeps getting chipped away at with every toxic update and now a weak HTML is on the near horizon. To add insult to injury, the nasty rude devs toss this irritating and needless pop-up into the already open bleeding wound that is today's Tanki.

HTML is not impossible to play on, it is just not as good as Flash...at least in my opinion. What makes me absolutely hostile is they way the devs keep saying how superior it is. To many many players it is very far from superior and is in fact quite inferior in terms of features, graphics, interface, usability, loading times, convenience, and other problems. If you are good with HTML, you are lucky. I truly wish I liked playing on HTML..why would anyone not like the version that is destine to become the only version of the game? Sadly I just don't like many aspects of HTML and even more sad is the fact that 90% of what i don't like should be able to be fixed easily, but Tanki just doesn't bother because it doesn't bring in an immediate dollar (ruble).

The devs don't have the talent or ability to code the HTML like was done by previous coders in Flash. The high turn over in their employees prevents them from maintaining any kind of consistency. A newbie coder gets hired, has no real guidance, and must start at zero. They get frustrated with an impossible job run by incompetent management and quit...enter a new coder and repeat over and over. It's no wonder the devs can't even get one piece of code right...ever. HTML is inferior to Flash in almost every way because they are incapable of fixing it. The only thing they can do is run their mouths and keep harping to players about how good and superior HTML is. If they say it enough times people will believe it. It worked for MM. There are players on this very forum that will argue how much better MM is than the previous system of a couple of years ago. They drank the Kool-aid for MM and they will have a few more gulps for HTML. The fact is MM is trash and HTML is a weak and puny version when compared to Flash...they just haven't the skills to improve HTML.

This hassle pop up is starting to crash the battle. It tries to pop up and the battle locks. This is an idiotic way of trying to get players to go over to HTML anyway. Get rid of this offensive and game slowing piece of trash you foolish foolish devs. You guys are clueless when it comes to customer relations. Why don;t you try investing in a consultant to help you with you incapabilities? You have zero smarts when it comes to dealing with your clients....truly fools.

The lag is getting even worse than earlier today. ODs don't activate, the ping is huge, no damage, etc. It is unplayable right now.

Dunno, but that is what the devs have done. When you start a new acct you get a free Smoky, Hunter, and Ares. You used to get Titan which was pretty cool. The OD for Ares recharges quickly and it is a very powerful gun if you can get it to hit a target, so it does have some advantage over Titan. You can now buy Titan for only 50 crystals and it unlocks at Rank2 so it is still very easily obtainable. With 6X XP, Rank2 is like two kills and an assist and you rank-up to Rank2. They also removed the new account newbie pass for 1.5X XP and 2X battle funds which use to last for three weeks I think. I had a new acct when the first wave of 6X XP hit and with the newbie pass one kill and you ranked-up to Rank2! lmao...really funny ?
