    OK, I'm lost. It has been said that Brutus will not consume batteries...I assume that means it will not consume batteries AFTER the supply update is implemented, right? Because right now it chews through batteries. I just bought a Brutus Drone to get a definitive answer and I can confirm, 100% factoid, that Brutus currently consumes batteries when equipped. So...will this battery eating for Brutus stop after the update? Are there any other drones that will not consume batteries after the update? Where did you find this information? I have totally have missed it. ----------------------- @RIDDLER_8 Thanks...heard it this time in the V-Log....don't know how i missed that. Brutus will not use batteries. I predict there will be tons of Bruti in all ranks.

    ...and it still goes on and on and on. No damage. You log out and log back in; no damage. Over and over and over. It's been happening for weeks and weeks. It's much worse on the big maps with the ridiculous overcrowding. There are several maps that are instant "quits" because it is literally impossible to ever do any damage. It's such a problem that half of the losing team is in constant flux quitting and others joining to replace them. The battles are lagged to death because of all the instability of teams as players come in and out. If the dime store coders of Tanki can't fix the "no damage" problem through corrected code, why the heck doesn't Tanki stop the idiotic overcrowding of maps? Put a sensible number of players on each map and the "no damage" problem will probably go away since previously it was just a once in a while glitch before Tanki implemented the overcrowding update. Common fix the game mechanics. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ...and again today. I've joined 12 battles battles. I've logged in 14 times. Battles I finally got to join crashed 4 times. I could do damage in 2 battles...one ended in less than a minute after my entry and the other battle that I could do damage was so lagged I couldn't hit or kill any one. All I could do was drop mines and get killed....even the chat was lagged by about four seconds between the time you pressed enter and when it was displayed. Almost two hours again and I couldn't even dent an "earn 300 points in ASL" mission. RIDICULOUS!!!! Fix the game mechanics or do away with overcrowded battles.

    Wow, I really wish they would have an English writer (not Grammerly) script these V-Logs. The supply/drone explanation is baffling and extremely vague. What? And Huh? I guess that too soon another typically toxic Tanki update will show us what the new supply/drone meta will actually be. In the meantime, my biggest question is this: How can you equip a drone, yet have it not consume supplies? I thought drones automatically chewed through batteries and their associated supplies whenever they were equipped. Can anyone shed some light on this coming change? ...maybe use Brutus as an example drone since it is available at low ranks and doesn't cost an arm an a leg.

    protection module update?

    When will the protection module update be implemented? Has it been implemented already? I haven't found it in the patch notes, but it's talked about in the current V-Log. New accounts will only have access to one protection slot and two will remain locked until they can be unlocked with, yep, Tankoins...not crystals. And a fourth slot can be purchased with, yep, Tankoins...not crystals. P2W

    Great build up of anticipation...three days worth! Really nice art work for the comic. Clever idea for an event (probably). Good for the Tanki coffers and probably good for the F2P Tankers. ....but It all gets Tankied from poor execution. You guys couldn't get the software sorted BEFORE you started the promotion? So lame, but so very typical and completely predictable. Tanki developers...hard to believe the consistency if we didn't live with it daily.

    Can't something be done about the bloody "no damage" glitch???????? I've complained about it many times and it's still the same old thing if not WORSE! I'm sure there must be many players that are not bothered by this problem and many players that don't care if they have to log in and out over and over. BUT>>>>there are lots of players (or there were anyway) that are bothered by this "no damage" glitch. How long will they continue to fight the game to join a single battle? How much of their time will they waste on a game that DOES NOT WORK??????? The answer is that many players will, or already have quit playing Tanki. Can you devs really afford to lose any more player base?? FIX the problem. The glitch is more horrible in the higher ranks where the over-crowded large maps cause such horrendous lag. I have tried three days in a row to log in and play one stupid RGB battle...Three days!!!! Today I finally completed my 30 star mission for 300p points in RGB. Woopie! I could do damage and completed the mission easily. ...Almost two full hours an 12 times logging in....TWO HOURS and 12 logins!!!! and three days for one complete battle. If you think that 12 entries of colored text is tedious, try attempting to join one battle over and over for two hours (12 times). It's so bad in the higher ranks with the overcrowded maps that I only play now and then with alt accounts below Rank11. The overcrowding isn't so horrible, but I only play a fraction of the time I used to play. Who is going to continue to play Tanki in conditions like this. Sure, Tanki must have many players that don't have this problem, but they also must have many players that do. Fix the problem.

    THE CHURN. It's all to generate churning equipment. They introduce universal critical hits which throws all balance out the window in one foul swoop. This ridiculous update is nothing more than to motivate players to buy whatever equipment emerges as OP. Then Tanki can spend the next six months to a year with their buff/nerf cycle in the guise of re balancing from the critical hit update. This critical hit update effectively puts all turrets back at the starting gate for buff/nerf...and Tanki rakes in the chips as players scramble to regain whatever edge they may have had over their competition a week ago. Tanki has fewer and fewer players as a result of their slash and burn marketing and now they must squeeze hard to wring enough cash from the tiny player base they have left....so toxic updates like this are inevitable. It's obviously floating their boat right now, but Tanki's current marketing strategy of Online Gambling for the kiddies is doomed...just a matter of time. I fully expect that one day next year I will try to log into Tanki and get a 404 message. I had hoped someone would buy out the game, but I doubt this sinking ship could attract any serious investors. Now, I think the only hope left is that Tanki will scrap this iteration of "Legenary PVP Shooter" (soooo lame) and re-introduce a more player friendly version (read: rolled-back) version of Tanki. Everyone starts from Recruit again and this time Tanki learns from their mistakes...they keep the game on a sustainable path. I would guess lots of players would be outraged and pack it in if something like this actually happened, but I also think a staggering numbers of players would come back to a fun and simple version of Tanki.
  9. Well, I'm bummed. No where in the announcement does it say that there is a rank limit on the event....so my plan was to take a very low rank alt account and get those juicy containers. Nope, my mad scheme was foiled by lack of clarity. The announcement didn't mention that the event was only for rank 6 or above...it should have, but nothing. Next event, I think Tanki should try to outline the criteria for the event. Oh well, it was fun playing in the baby account league anyway...way more fun than the spawn, die, spawn, die grind of higher ranks

    It's so constant and so frustrating. Why can't something be done about "doing no damage". It takes a long time to join a battle...especially just before and after restart. And when you finally get in ...no damage. Log out, another five or six minutes to log back in and finally get into a battle again and you still only have a 50/50 chance of doing damage. It has taken me as much as 45 minutes to complete one single battle where I am scoring damage...that is ridiculously long This seems like a very important part of Tanki. It seems like all efforts should be made to fix it. Maybe it only affects a portion of players and the majority have no problem, but with the dwindling player count, why not try to preserve all the players you have? Get the basic mechanics of the game FIXED! Join a battle and be able to do damage...this is just elementary to the game. Please, please, please ask the powers that be to address this ongoing and seemingly ignored issue...just because lots of players are still logging in and playing doesn't make the problem any less of a problem. Please put a bug in their ear for some real attention to this glitch. ----------------------------addendum------------------------------ Posted 39 minutes ago ...So I posted this 39 minutes ago after spending a lot of frustrating time trying to get into one single Siege battle where I could do damage and complete one single mission. I just finished and only got into one 3.5 minute battle where I could do damage and the game didn't crash. So that was at least 39 minutes for a single mission due to "no damage" and at least that long before I posted this if not twice that long. Overall, a minimum of an hour and twenty minutes of login, logout, login, logout, wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, ad infinitum. How much more Tanki would you guess I'm going to play now? Right ZERO...I'm very done, where if I had a couple of fun hours instead of total frustration, I might play more Tanki, but this is just a total buzz kill and it can't be just me. This problem NEEDS TO BE FIXED!

    So when do containers get awarded? After the completion of the event? I just earned 350 stars from complementing my Weekly Mission (200) and my three Daily Missions (150), but no 5 extra containers.

  14. QUESTION! I looked on this thread but couldn't find an answer...I hope this is not a redundant question: Are stars only earned by battling in MM battles credited? Or is the total number of stars you earn from Daily and Weekly Missions credited also? In other words is our total number of stars acquired count towards the goal, or must each star be earned in a battle? Thanks LOL...I guess I missed the whole shebang! That's what I get for not paying enough attention to Tanki and doing other stuff with my time! And to think, I used to log in every single day and play for hours at a time. The game is so degraded and insipid now that I haven't even played since this event started. My question is still valid though even if I can't participate...maybe next time :)

    It's taking three or four times as long to log an get into the lobby. It takes forever to load just the login page...like two or three minutes, just to get the login page. Then it can take four or even five minutes to actually access your account. Many times you end up in an infinite loading screen. Over all, I'd say it is averaging more than seven minutes to login from bringing up a browser to spawning in your lobby. That is way too long. It was bad yesterday, but is impossible today.

    Previously I would have been a buyer...I might even have become one of the coveted "whales" since I was (still am kinda) totally addicted to Tanki and I have more than enough expendable income...especially for relatively inexpensive entertainment like video games. But Tanki has been so unethical in the past and slightly in the present also, that I would NEVER send Tanki a Ruble. In the past any equipment you bought was (and still is) completely subject to Tanki's whim and their buff/nerf cycle. What was a great piece of equipment when you bought it might be turned into scrap the next week with a devastating nerf. As just one example, Twins has never recovered from a series of brutal nerfs...it's been years since it was a decent turret...Vulcan, Isida, Magnum, and others have all had their day in the sun and days in darkness. I believe this is a big factor in the outrageous loss of player base over the years...players got tired of buying something and then losing what they bought. The same thing is happening with paint right now. Did Tanki need to change paints around for the new standard stock HD skins? No they didn't. In fact they went out of their way to make some paints look really lame on the HD skin. Why? To sell more U-Cons (Con-Us) as buyers buy in hopes of getting Legacy skins or skins that display thier previously favorite paints like they were before. They went in and re-coded specific paints to be cheesy...Africa now has stripes with-wise as opposed to length-wise but a flame paint (don't know it's name) was re-coded to go backwards! So one paint gets changed left to right and another gets changed front to back while some are left alone and most are shrunken into almost a solid color. That is 100% contrived by the devs...just to sell a few more U-Cons. Previously you bought a bundle for a specific paint an now it looks like trash on your tank. Wanna fix it? OK, buy and try to win a skin in the U-Con lottery. "While I don't doubt that Tanki's objective is to maximise returns I am not sure they would be investing so much development time for new features if they were expecting a 'tipping point'." Most companies try to maximize profits and Tanki gotta make a Ruble or the game will just disappear one day. But my point is that Tanki seems to be getting desperate...a paint nerf?...yikes! What feature has been implemented that is not to directly enhance Tanki's bottom line? All updates and "features" are designed with one sole purpose...not to make the game better or more enjoyable, although those two things might possibly be a by-product. That one purpose is to increase Tanki's bottom line. All new features are implemented to make Tanki more money. Paints, and now price increases for Tankoins both seems like acts of desperation. It almost doesn't matter what they charge for Tankoins....buyers are going to buy them...for awhile...until they don't. And I'm pretty sure Tanki is seeing the trend line and it isn't going up. Tanki is waltzing towards doom...don't know when, but all these new "features", redesigns, schemes, tricks, spin, and updates are to keep MM able to create battles and get as much income as quickly as they can before the window closes on the few buyers that are left...the tipping point. Tanki is not on the rise and has not been for years due to their "slash and burn" style of marketing. It's a slow march to the floccinaucinihilipilification of a once great game. Tanki's only hope is to find a way to generate new player base or actually improve the play-ability of the game which at this point would probably mean launching a new Retro-Tanki and letting "Legendary PVP Shooter" (ridiculous name) go the way of Tanki-X.

    Sad. It's amazing that Tanki can so consistently foul up every update somehow. Maybe paint augments are in the works...buy the new augment to get the paint back to what it was before whatever update trashed it...or buy a zillion U-Cons ( or Con-U ) to maybe get a Legacy skin that may or may not display a paint in it's original configuration. Just sad.

    It's not an Earth shaking bug, but it's sad and ruins one of my (and I'd guess many others) favorite paints. The new Hunter configuration wears the Africa paint stripes width-wise as opposed to length-wise like it always has been. I hope this is just a glitch...Africa paint looks really doinky as bands instead of stripes. Turns a great paint into trash. It's also scary to think that when the other hulls are updated that they may also have this turn-around glitch...and it might affect other paints too. I hope Tanki can get this corrected before bunches of paints are made useless. lame Africa... ...sweet Africa

    'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate And Tanki knows buyers gonna buy, buy, buy, buy, buy This is another obvious act of desperation on Tanki's part. They only have a small player base now with a finite number of buyers. As the freebie players stop playing, and the smaller buyers give up playing out of frustration, the player base continues to shrink. The number of players that are supporting the game financially are shrinking and Tanki has decided to maximize returns from their herd of buyers as quikly as possible before some sort of tipping point is reached..."get it while you can". My guess is that the buyer that wants the new augment/kit/whatever will pay more for it...even if it is significantly more expensive. Video games are still relatively cheap in terms of hours of entertainment to cost ratio. Way cheaper than movies, dinners, or sailing (Hey Maf!) If you have a strong presence, you don't effectively increase prices...you lower them to attract more buyers. With no new buyers and old buyers probably owning most of the stuff they want already, Tanki is stuck between a rock and a hard spot. One way to make a Ruble is to squeeze the buyer base you have left. If they can't generate some new players that will become buyers, I'm kinda getting the feeling Tanki may not see another summer after this coming summer. This is the price of compromising quality of your product for quick maximized profits...digital slash and burn...works great and is hugely profitable for a time, but it's just not sustainable. And I think this Tankoin update is just one more in the many pieces of evidence that Tanki's chickens are coming home to roost.

    I am sick to death of finally getting into a battle and time after time, do no damage...log out, log back in, same thing over and over. I don't have the facility to make a video and what the hell do you need a video of something like this for anyway?..."my tank does NO DAMAGE" No damage does not need to have video documentation...it's no damage...you shoot someone and no damage is done, no little damage numbers show and your shots have no effect on your opponent. You get killed but your opponent takes no damage. Another glitch that is showing up more often is not being able to get into Garage....again a video is not necessary...a video would show a player clicking "Garage" and then just an endless loading screen. No damage to opponents even with logging out and back in several times. Intermittently can't enter Garage from the lobby or from within a battle.

    Wow, what's with the difficulty in logging on? It's taking forever to bring up the login page. Sometimes it doesn't even load and you need to dump the browser and start over. It's like a ten minute process to log in. Then it is taking forever to get into a battle...well OK, maybe not forever, but like two or three minutes. Many times you don't spawn and all you see is the battle going on around you until you get timed out. Or, you spawn in, get killed, and never re-spawn...just see the battle raging around your blankness...then you time out. OR, you actually spawn in, die, re-spawn, but can do no damage. Way too frustrating to play. Not a video, but it could be...just pretend the timer is advancing and you'd have the same thing as a video. You just never re-spawn and eventually get timed out. Today's restart seems to have cured yesterday's woes. The log-in page loads in much less than a minute. The problem with not spawning in, not re-spawning, and no damage are still happening I assume since they have been an ongoing bug for weeks and weeks, but they seem to be back to being a normal intermittent problem instead of a chronic problem like yesterday. ...bug/glitch solved by restart.

    100 points is certainly no floccinaucinihilipifcation and my honorificabilitudinity is piqued by the accolade, but is the centuple an aggregate or should I bust out some selcouth sesquipedalianisms to quantify my quiddity? Thanks for the link...it is exactly what I was looking for. I reverse engineered it to figure out how to access it through clicks...kinda seems a bit fiddly when a link could easily be embedded in the word "Content" under your name in the top right corner, but... Anyway, to click to the "Content" feature of the Forum: click your name in the upper right hand corner click "Profile" click "See my activity" ...green button on the right ...Voilà, there it is....all you own posts

    Well, wad my mizzen and shred my gollywobbler...I'm thoroughly gobsmacked! You are 100% correct; spell check is in fact a function of the browser. Who knew? (You and certainly not me). I recently tried to revert my Firefox to an older version and in the process I had to reconfigure my options (lost all my bookmarks too). I turned off "correct spelling as you type". I just clicked it back on and, presto!...spell check on the Forum. Thank you for this tasty tidbit of internet acumen, I appreciate the help. Sorry to clog the Forum with unfounded kvetching, but I would have bet hard cash that spell check was a function of the host software. Glad I had no one to bet with :) A ligit kvetch is still the "content" function...maybe you have a tip for that? (Ignore this bit...it's an experiment. ghoti )

    The "content" feature of the forum still is not working. As far as I can tell there is no way to access your own posts. I've tried several ways in search and I am still comming up with squat. Why can't we get spell check and some way to find our own content...it's part of the basc format for most forums, why is this Tanki forum getting more and more crippled?

    I really would like to see a list of my own content on the forum. The "content" feature that was previously found under your name at the top right of the page was very handy. Without being able to see my content I tend to lose posts that I made. It makes the forum experience much less enjoyable. Please fix the "content" feature of the forum or tell me a way to track all my posts and reactions. While you're at it, why not fix the spell check also? It's amazing that everything in Tanki is left to deteriorate after each update...even on the forum.
