Tanki introduced MatchMaking so we would have balanced matches...ROFL...cough, sputter. Funny, before MM, I don't even know if it was possible to have such a large rank spread. At least that battle was a possible M4 (newly minted, but still) vs a Legend probably M4. What I can't deal with, and have dropped my higher account because of huge rank spread, is a Colonel vs a Field Marshal or even higher sometimes. That is, at best, a fully MUed M2 vs M4 . A Field Marshal has more than TWICE the XP as a Colonel and has had plenty of time to M4 at least one hull and turret. It's just a slaughter...battle after battle. So I quit my higher account. Who wants to work so hard at a game that you should be doing for fun?

So is the site working or not working? I voted attack and defend and i t looks like it recorded my vote, but it still shows <5 stars and I earned 10 stars several hours ago. Just a glitch in the site or were the stars I earned not counted towards the war?
-
"After confirming your choice on the WAR website, you must go into matchmaking battle in Tanki Online (in any mode, on any map) and earn Stars by defeating other players. Every turn starts with 0 Stars. Once you’ve earned your first 5 Stars, you will be able to pick territories. As soon as you’ve made your choices and confirmed them on the WAR website, any Stars you earn will be added to your faction’s progress on the regions you’ve chosen. The region is taken over by the faction that has collectively earned more Stars than the opposition. " You guys really need to get a proof reader. This is confusing at best and contradictory at worst. Please clarify: Do you pick a territory to attack and one to defend before you start earning stars or after you have earned five stars
-
OK....so do you pick a territory to attack and one to defend, then earn 5 stars to confirm your vote, or can you earn 5 stars then go to the website and pick a territory to attack and one to defend?
-
Where is the link to the website? Gosh, there are so many bits an pieces of information scattered through four or five announcements. Here's an idea: Put all the information (how to/nuts and bolts) about the war in one announcement. Why spread stuff here and there and make it more difficult to figure out.
-
In the info sections you guys talk about "confirmed vote" and five stars. I'm sure you mentioned it in the fine print somewhere...once...but for a "confirmed vote" you need to vote, then earn 5 stars, right? Vote, 5 stars, then 5 more stars (at the least) for one container (without passes). I'm pretty sure this is correct, but does your faction need to win as you voted to collect a prize or does any participant with a confirmed vote an at least 5 stars get a prize, win or lose the region?

Sorry I'm not keeping to the format here and I'm also sorry I didn't record the specifics of my containers, but I wanted to post an observation. I have quite a few alt accounts, so I open quite a few containers. In the last few weeks (maybe four or five), I have noticed that the quality of container contents has gone up dramatically. Previously I might get a 25,000 crystal box on a very rare occasion. Recently I've gotten many of them on various accts...a rough guess, 1 out of 20 or 25 containers. 10,000 crystals seem to be as plentiful as 3500 crystal containers used to be. I'm not seeing as many of the stupid soccer paints either (thank the gods). Previously I would get tons and tons of 125 mines/armor/speed and I still get a few, but I'm getting as many or more damage, repair, and 3500 crys now I usually wait and build up at least 5 or 6 containers and recently I've decided that if I get 125 mines or armor when I open the first container, I log out an log back in to open the rest of my horded containers. This seems to increase the odds of good stuff...maybe it's just superstition, but it seems to give me a bit of an edge. That trick may account for some of my recent good luck, but I am thinking that Tanki has changed the content roster probably in hopes of keeping the players they have left (numbers are up a bit since Halloween) by paying them more through containers. Anybody concur with this possible trend or am I just nuts and very lucky ?

V-Log; depressing as usual. No wonder I don't watch them...always bad news or tortured spin. It will be interesting to see what happens with kits in the future. It is amazing to me that a company can get away with selling something and then changing it completely at a later date. I don't use Thunder but I'd sure be upset if I did. Isn't one of Thunders main qualities is it's effectiveness at long range? ...not after this update. Tanki did same thing to Twins (slow the projectile) and now I have several Twins accounts sitting idle...it completely trashed Twins. Coerce many of the Thunder players into switching into another turret with all the upgrades and modifications to follow...$$$. You can buy, but you never know what you will have...

Anyone notice a big change to Product Kits?
Joeguy replied to Joeguy in Anyone notice a big change to Product Kits? Archive
It seems that Tanki changed the duration of availability for garage product kits from around a week to closer to a month...certainly 20+ days. At 20 days for each kit, that will be almost eight months for all the kits to cycle through one time. Maybe they are planning on offering kits for various duration...dunno...we will see. Buyers will still be able to have any kit they wish as soon as they rank high enough, but freebies are in real trouble if you want a specific kit. This is a big change and I don't think it even got mentioned anywhere (I could be way off on that, but I didn't hear anything about it) -
With these drone changes it is obvious emphasis on "pay to win". Drones now chew up batteries AND supplies. I just don't see much motivation to bother ranking up any more.

how do you post to an existing thread?
Joeguy replied to Joeguy in how do you post to an existing thread? Archive
can't find how to post a reply to a thread...only this new topic part2 I can report a post, start a topic, find profiles, but can't find a way to post a response any where. part3: OK...no worries...Thanks ....while they are looking at issues, I couldn't use my actual email. The registration said it was being used by another player...not true ? I ended up using a one time disposable email address. ....wow, big smiley...another issue -
DM disappeared when Team Juggy missions appeared...fine with me. DM was always difficult to enter especially around restart. I also never really liked DM...especially after they increased the star threshold from 5 kills to 8 killls and dropped the XP level for each kill. I only do ASL for missions...greedy me :) I try to click them away mostly because they are so fiddly to enter not because it's a junk mode. I wouldn't want to play it all the time, but big blow outs now and then are kind of fun.

Playing HTML5 is just unpleasant.

Why is all the printing so small? It looks like you are using Ariel 10 point (this is Ariel 10 point)...even this forum is 12 point. There is tons of empty space...make the damn font larger...at the very least 12 point like this forum Colors in battles are all washed out and with all th3 flashes and glowing drop boxes it's difficult to see...needs more contrast. There is a lot more clicking to navigate the lobby. Why make the lobby less convenient? Bigger fonts More contrast

I haven't played the HTML5 enough yet to really know. I don't care for the response of the controls in HTML5...shooting seeme inaccurate and the mele turrets seem less effective. So I intend to wait until it is impossible to play flash anymore, that way everyone will have the same disadvantage.
-
Seriously? Thanks for the suggestion, but of course I have tried clearing the cache. This has been an ongoing glitch for months and months. ASL takes forever to load and hangs up about every other battle. DM can be difficult to get into but that can be attributed to MM and the inefficient queuing employed by MM. All the other modes load well, but ASL keeps getting hung up forcing a re-login. I'm just wondering if others have noticed this situation.

Why is it so difficult to enter an ASL battle
Joeguy replied to Joeguy in Why is it so difficult to enter an ASL battle Archive
I have no trouble entering any mode except ASL. Why is it so difficult to enter an ASL battle? If I've been in one ASL battle and then wish to go into another, I must click ASL, wait for the loading screen to go through a cycle or two (green bar), log out and log back in. I usually get into a battle at this point but with only about three minutes left. Anyone else having trouble with ASL like this? -
What is needed is some actual counter to Wasp's bomb. Hunter theoretically has a counter measure, but it is almost impossible to deploy effectively because of Hunter (now even longer) delay Also Wasp should not be able to drop a bomb while stunned or frozen. I've had a Wasp completely frozen with Freeze and it drops a bomb on me....mutual death.

https://tankionline.com/battle-en.html?flash=true Couldn't find it in the Wiki anywhere. After using HTML5 for a couple of days, I want to use flash as long as I possibly can. There are probably others out there that want flash access also.
-
"backspace key" does the "clear" function. It doesn't say that anywhere though...maybe they could pop that into the Wiki.

Overall, my impression for the first day playing on HTML5 is that, besides just being different and therefore a bit more cumbersome, it is more fiddly and not laid out as efficiently as the flash version...more clicking to navigate to what you wish to see. The movement is acceptable but not as accurate and pleasing as the flash. Everything is in tiny tiny print and difficult to see...in fact many things within a battle are difficult to see because of pastel colors, or just small print. I am also having discrepancy with Firebird's damage. It doesn't seem to do as much damage as with flash. I also get different damage with different opponents of the same rank/supplies. One tank is super easy and I see very high (three digit) damage numbers. Another tank and I get single digit damage numbers. In flash I had a good idea of timing for a kill with Firebird. In HTML it is way off and not nearly as effective. Some tanks I can dump an entire full canister with a DD and it still won't kill the opponent. Other times without a DD I just burn right through an opponent. Very inconsistant and I'm kind of thinking it may have something to do with fps..dunno. I do know that Firebird is not as effective in HTML5. I think we all tend to resist new stuff, but I really like the flash version much better at this point in HTML5's development.

The "R" and "V" function do not work with HTML5...not that they are very useful anymore since we got stuck with Gear Score instead of an actually functional MU level. It is nice to see what modules an opponent has once in awhile though. A very low priority fix.

I assume you just quoted the wrong post...I think you meant Viking4s and his typical whatever Tanki did is great type of post. I like being able to check missions in battle and think that Tanki should generate some way to access missions from within a battle in the HTML5...otherwise it is just another backstep and more fodder for a "less than" game.
-
One of my main objectives in the game is completing daily missions. No access to daily missions from within the battle makes focusing on the game more difficult.
