nope...absolutely squat. I email everyday and only get the auto-responder saying they will get back to me within 24 hours. Maybe it's a typo and they mean 24 weeks ?

    Complaint Book

Can a moderator check to see if there is anyone in Customer Service? Might they be working from home? I've sent them a dozen emails or more and get absolutely nothing from them other than the annoying erroneous auto-responder. It's getting close to two weeks with no response. I have no way to contact them, but people working with Tanki should have some method of more direct contact with them. So please, moderator, can you light a fire under the help folk...or at the least find out if they are still working? helpdesk assigned ticket number – 3721922 Migration from Latin servers to EN servers is not working. I can log into my Brazilian account and get the migration transfer screen. When I click transfer it takes me to the normal HTML5 login. When I try to log in, it won't accept me, but I can still log into my Brazilian account. My user name is unused on the EN servers.

I've been trying for more than a week to contact Customer Service at help@tankionline.com and get absolutely nothing other than an auto-responder that says they will get back to me within 24 hours. I would like to migrate my Latin account to EN servers but Customer Service or the help desk is not answering.

    Alterations for Hulls

These updates, like 99% of the updates, are only done to make Tanki more money. It's only money that that is the engine of these stupid and toxic updates.
  5. Joeguy

    Alterations for Hulls

So there are eight Hunter alterations. We could assume that there will eventually be an equivalent number of alterations for each hull...that's a lot of alterations and an almost infinite amount of variation between hull, turret, and module combinations...thousands if not tens of thousands. Previously if someone that you faced off against had 50% protection from your turret and you had no protection from his, you were going to die. It was a matter of luck not skill that just got you killed. With the endless variations introduced with hull alterations you will never be able to equip against most of the possible combinations. It makes Tanki even more luck than it is now.

    Discount Weekend - April 2020

Thank you Tanki for not increasing XP along with increasing battle funds 2X. The double battle funds are very welcome But increased XP is a deterrent from playing (at least for many, especially in the lower ranks where you rank up too quickly as it is now). It's time to dust off that Isida protection module ?

Why can't I double "like" this? Wasps are going to home in on Titan domes now.

    Alterations for Hulls

Tanki just keeps getting worse and worse. I can't even imagine how they can keep coming up with such stupid and toxic ideas. I guess it's because the only thing Tanki really thinks about is how to alter the game to motivate players to send in more $$$. It;s never to improve the game-play, it is only how to sell more pixel product. Keep the churn going...constant change to parameters of hulls and turrets and now endless alterations for hulls and turrets that will also be subject to change at any moment....THE CHURN

    Alterations for Hulls

Just another in the long long line of money grabs. It makes the game more complex and as such, less skill involved and more luck. ODs reduced the skill level to almost all luck, now with hull AND turret alterations beating an opponent will depend on the luck...what did he equipment his tank with and what did you equip your tank with....luck. Battles will have even less to do with who can out maneuver who.

  11. I think all humor, or at least the majority of humor has it's roots in tragedy and suffering or at the least, sadness. I believe it is a coping mechanism. I personally have lost 100% of my income since January due to Covid19. I contracted to buy and paid for a business in September of last year with most of my life's savings...it is a tourist business. I took it over in February of this year. Now I may lose the tourist business because I may not be able to keep up with rent on the space without any income. But my family and myself are healthy, so that's the important part really. Sometimes humor comes too close to the edge of tragedy and becomes "in bad taste", Sometimes it stumbles over the line and is offensive. Every person has their own boundaries. For me, I prefer to laugh when ever possible and I thought these jokes were funny or at least cute, so I wanted to share them in case others might like them like I do. I'm sorry if they crossed your personal boundary, passed by "in poor taste" and jumped the line into offensive. I'm sorry you feel offended by them...it was not my intent.

Episode 249 of the V-LOG is live!

Unfortune news about Flash <<<Did that really need to be in the VLog....especially when it got fixed already? I think this is just the smarmy Tanki way of saying to get ready to lose Flash in a couple of weeks. They will stop supporting Flash before Flashes true demise because they don't want to mess with Flash any more. So be it. All I can say about it is I would expect another large block of players to quit playing Tanki....I'm gonna guess another 25% drop at least. So the 22,000 at peak time that we have been seeing for the last week or so is gonna crash down to 16,000 or 17,000. Then as Covid lightens up and the lockdowns start to loosen up peak numbers will still probably drop by that 25% or 30%, but it will be from Tanki's moving average of about 17,000...so I'm predicting 12,000 to 13,000 players at peak time...that's include the few new Latin players to the EN servers (there are only about 400 or 500 players left on br/es servers at peak times now). That means it is going to get much harder to get into a battle a few hours on either side of restart and rank brackets will widen out even further for MM to keep generating battles. All pretty bad news for Tanki players especially when it's wrapped up in an inferior HTML package. The only hope is that Tanki institutes some of the features and fixes that this forum (probably the Russian forum too) has be complaining about over and over and over and over. One easy fix to make HTML much better and more like Flash would be to put access to missions from within a battle...just like in Flash. It has to be an easy bit of coding since almost everything is in place already...just add a link to missions on the pause/leave battle menu

Episode 249 of the V-LOG is live!

I see the Clan tourney was played on Flash and not HTML (look at the size and font of players names on the video) Hmmmmmmm

    Unfortunate news

I'm not sure what you are talking about here. The Russian thread you sent me to has 13 different screen shots, all in Russian explanations and in the screens themselves in Russian. It would take many hours to translate all that and I don't really see the point in trying since, as of writing this, you can not access your missions from within a battle. If Tanki is planing on changing that in the near future it will be great and one more positive step in making HTML more playable. As I said before, I want to be able to access my missions from within a battle (not just the lobby) as a reminder of what my missions are and my progress on my missions. When I play HTML, I constantly have to leave battles, especially at the beginning, because I've forgotten if it was DD or DA...how many repair? Generally, when I fall short on a mission I just quit playing HTML and go back to flash where I can see my progress. Another strategy (and I'm a bit ashamed of myself for this) is to just run around and take every box I can find, no matter what it is, ignore my team, ignore my score just to complete some box mission that I don't remember what kind of box or lost count of how many boxes. With access to my missions i can look and gauge my box collection or decide to use one or two out of my own supplies. For score or kill type missions, I can look and see if I need to drug like mad to finish off a mission or not. It's such a small and simple thing, but for me it is important to the quality fo game play. Not having access to missions from within a battle is annoying as hell and if that were absolutely the only thing that was different about HTML and Flash, it would keep me from playing HTML. i would continue to play Flash because it has in-battle access to missions. Why should HTML have LESS features?

    Unfortunate news

HTML is so annoying. I want to be able to see my missions and mission progress from within a battle. Put mission access in the damn Pause/Exit drop down menu if you can't put in its own icon. I want the access to my account in HTML that Flash has.

    Unfortunate news

I don't mean to be a dummy, but i don't know what you mean by this...could you elaborate a bit? I don't see how popularity of some maps or modes kept people from playing to their fullest before MM was introduced. Before MM, almost everything in Tanki was user choice. MM and the updates to accommodate MM homogenized the game with the same number of players in all battles, most maps becoming more similar to accommodate MM battles, shortened length of battles, etc
  19. Joeguy

    Unfortunate news

I have heard the rational before from Tanki spokespeople, and that is all it is, a rationalization. If you look at the unpopular updates like MatchMaking, several of the very unpopular updates to accommodate MatchMaking, more difficult missions, ODs, etc. you will see big drop offs in player base not long after these updates are released. Sure, Tanki would have lost some players over time as do all games, but not at the horrendous rate their Pay to Win campaign has engendered. One of the big reasons people quit is because of Tanki's constant "re balance" act with the buff/nerf cycle. Personally, I believe that this also costs Tanki plenty in their bottom line....who wants to send in money for equipment that is in a constant state of flux? Also, if Tanki had shown integrity and good ethics over the last few years and the game had stayed as playable as it once was, who knows how much organic growth might have seen? It is only speculation at this point, but I think Tanki might have very well been able to increase their player base three or even four fold. It was a great game that was slowly getting a larger and larger player base until around the time of the Paint Separation when things started to fall apart. I believe that was about the time Hazel-Rah took over development and instituted a new strategies to increase Tanki's bottom line (PTW). I'm sure he did and has continued to increase profits, but it wasn't the only way to have done so and his way has lost the game hundreds of thousands of players over the last few years. Now Tanki has such a small player base that the ultimate switch to an inferior HTML might spell the eventual doom of the game entirely. A lot is riding on getting HTML to work as well as Flash. Tanki hasn't declined from natural attrition, but from minuscule organic growth and misguided updates and changes to the game.

    Unfortunate news

Your point 1. "can't just copy and paste the coding" OK, got it Your point 2 and 3. "since Tanki wasn't meant to be a proper game, no effort had been made to code it in a properly structured way." "we're practically rewriting the game in another language" What does that even matter in regards to HTML since you "can't just copy and paste the coding. HTML is a chance to do it all better because you have to newly code it all anyway, so why were so many features left out of the HTML version? Why did the battle interface change so much? Why did the garage and lobby change so much? Why make HTML less efficient than Flash? Why not use Flash as a template and try to duplicate it in HTML (not copy code, but replicate the Flash version)? Why change colors to washed out drabness and fonts to itty-bitty teeny-weeny? Why not use Flash as a template and try to duplicate it in HTML (not copy code, but replicate the Flash version)? Your point 4. "We're spending so much time fighting fires in the Flash version, that our development of the HTML5 version is practically moving at a crawl." But yet there is time to generate constant changes and alterations to game mechanics and generate event after event. And why wasn't HTML based more on the Flash version before it was even released? Maybe the best option might be to pull the HTML version before Flash dies completely and get it to resemble and work as well as Flash instead of trying to limp both along. Your point 5. "This damned COVID" I sympathize...I hope everyone stays healthy and safe. Your conclusion point. "Releasing new content is not an option - it's a necessity" I disagree with this emphatically, especially in regards to the new content released by Tanki in the recent past. ODs? I bet, even now after a year or so, a majority of players would prefer to not have ODs at all. Drones? If no one had them there would be no need to have them so no one would want them...drones didn't help the game-play they are just a way to sell more product. Alterations? Did they improve the game? I don't think so. Like drones they are part of the game now and you need them to stay competitive, but if they were done away with or never introduced the game would be more playable. Supply madness? Another Tanki engineered money grab....the game has not been improved by the fact you need to spam supplies almost all the time to be competitive. It was better when supplies were used infrequently. Stars? Turned from team play into selfish star grabs and multiplied the number of passive players or "mults" dramatically. Harder missions? I doubt anyone likes the harder missions. Tankoins? They only made buying for freebie players much more difficult since after their initial advent Tanki economy has started to focus of Tankoins rather than crystals. A case in point would be trying to buy a kit now (kits, another bit of new altered content). There are more offenses, but this is turning into another text wall. Most of the 100,000+ players that have stopped playing Tanki didn't leave because there wasn't enough new content...they left because there was too much new content.

    Unfortunate news

OK, I played on HTML some more...HTML is still vastly inferior to Flash for a multitude of reasons that have been brought up over and over and over and over. Even if HTML and Flash were similar in terms of the game-play experience (which they are not), I would still choose to play Flash if for no other reason than I can access my missions from within a battle. I want to be able to see my progress on Daily Missions while in a battle. I want to be able to remind myself of the mission itself from within a battle. Did I need to collect DD or was it DA? Do i need to drug like crazy to squeeze that last little bit of score? Do i need to accuate my OD asap to complete a mission or can I hold it to use more strategically. A very simple thing like not having mission access from within a battle will keep me from playing HTML.

Well said. Of all the posts I've read and even written myself, yours is the one post I wish the developers would read and act upon.

    Unfortunate news

We disagree. I think most players agree with me that the interface in HTML of the lobby, garage, and even battle screen is slower, more fiddly, less convenient and overall a poorer version than Flash. I base this on the dozens of posts I have seen on this forum complaining about the very things I've mentioned. I'm glad you enjoy HTML, you are very lucky that you consider it an upgrade from Flash. I don't. I feel HTML has a very long way to go before it even comes close to the flash experience. The small navigation features I've mentioned would be easy to create making the HTML experience more like the Flash experience. Tanki just doesn't really much care.

Graphic display of XP in battles, mission access, amount of crystals, amount of stars, pause icon, sound on/off icon, full screen icon, exit battle icon....icons all one click actuation not menus. Some of the icon features are incorporated in the pause or options menu in HTML, but to access them it is more clicks and longer waits for the clicks to actuate. These are some of the things lost in HTML. I'm not even going to bother with all the stuff that is wrong with the garage/lobby. I'd like you to tell me one or two of the things that you seem to think are easier in the lobby and garage of HTML...I could give you a dozen things that I know are slower or more cumbersome.
  25. Joeguy

    Unfortunate news

I don't think anyone really cares about the new layout of HTML. What they care about is the impeded functionality of HTML. The lobby and garage are slow, clunky, inefficient, and poorly laid out. The only thing that has efficient link access is the shop (what a surprise). I want the same features in the lobby and garage that flash has. I want easy one click access to most functions....just like Flash has. I want the same information displayed in each screen and battle that flash has...not less than flash...at a minimum the same as flash....it shouldn't be hard, the model is right there in the flash version, Tanki just hasn't taken the time or bothered to copy the functionality they had in flash.
