Oh, come on. Really?? If you get killed by an Isida you feel as though you have failed in life itself? I think you need a life outside of Tanki.
-
That certainly can be applied to team work, which seems to be lacking in a lot of battles. Teams without teamwork are destined to fail.

If I saw a name like that, I'd give 'em a gift, alright. A spray of bullets from my Vulcan.

I played a MMO game that had a forum even worse than Tanki. If you violated any rules, you were given a warning with the violation and a link to the rules. If you violated a rule again, you were banned. They said that every player had to check the box that said "I have read and understand the EULA and Rules." If you were old enough to read and understand the rules, then there is no reason to break them. The trollers on this forum would have been banned a long time ago. It sure made everyone familiar with the rules. On top of that, on rare occasion, rules were changed or added to. Everyone had a "mailbox" and a tab to it in the game toolbar, very much like the one Tanki has in the lobby. Whenever there was a change that involved the players, a bulk mail went out to all the players ingame mailbox. A minor change was explained there, a major change had a link. Ignorance was not an excuse for lack of knowledge. They even had a "Wall of Shame." Any player who was banned was added to the Wall and stayed there for a month. After that it was deleted. Surprisingly, there were very few names.

Ahhh. Okay. I store my lawnmower behind the shed (or is it under the shed) under a tarp (or is it behind the tarp). So, next time my neighbor wants to borrow it, I should tell him that it's under the shed, behind the tarp. Yep, makes perfect sense to me.

I think there is an OD hack out there. I've seen it too many times to be a lag. All the OD supplies suddenly appear over a tank and no blue dome. In fact, when the OD became permanent in the game, I'd see blue domes all over the place. Now, in comparison, I don't see it very often, yet the supplies are just as active. I saw it again yesterday. TDM on Forest map. Most of my team was on the hill. Three of us (Vulcan (me), Magnum and Railgun) were on the bottom near the other team's respawn locations, damaging and killing. A WO4 Thunder/Mammoth with checkered paint kept coming at us with all supplies activated during the entire battle. Not once did I see him without them. His D/L at the end of the battle was waaaayyyy out of proportion to the rest of their team. I checked his protection module. He had protection against Magnum, but not Vulcan and Railgun. He decimated our entire team. He was a one man army.

Brest map. I was using Titan. Titans are hard to land right when jumping forward, like the 2nd floor of the Brest building, so I go backwards and keep the tracks spinning. This one time, I landed square on my rear bumper and stayed there perfectly balanced. I couldn't believe it. I relocated my camera to see what type of predicament I was in. That curiosity got me burned, frozen and pierced for good measure by the opposing team. On top of that, I had just loaded a DA.

Yep, that's how mine are, too. I have the regular arrow keys plus arrow keys on the numpad, marked the......Oh, wait......I just took another look. My numpad arrows are 8 = up, 2 = down, 4 = left, 6 = right. That's quite a big jump from 8 to 2. Nope don't guess I'll use those.

For years I've used the z,x,c and arrow keys until I got a new keyboard. I have the same ghosting problem. Now I use z,x,c...i,j,k,l. Yes, it took a couple days to get used to it, but no more ghosting. Now, when I play my Firebird/Hornet account, I can drive rings around those big hulking hulls with the slow moving turrets. Whereas, before, instead of driving rings I was driving squares. There's nothing you can do to prevent ghosting, except to change hand positions. It all depends on how the keyboard is "wired" by the manufacturer. Some manufacturers of gaming keyboards claim theirs don't ghost. But still, it all depends on the hand position. I don't know of any keyboard that is absolutely ghost free. I never thought about that. My numpad has the arrow keys, too. Do you have to lock the numpad to use them?

Valid Battle option for restricting certain equipment
u812ic replied to Jtipt.The.Killer in Ideas and Suggestions
I like to have a Vulcan/Titan battle with all options turned off. See who burns up first. :P -
A big buff for Magnum. Please tell me how someone can back under a wall? Is there a new turret/hull combo I don't know about called a Digger?

Players keep talking about "skins" being added to Tanki. What are "skins?"
-
It wasn't mentioned if this could be turned on and off. In night mode, it would make dark tanks stand out better. Is this a feature you can see across the battlefield or just as you approach the tank as with the ID/health bar? Would it stand out as bright in night mode as in day mode, or would it be brighter in night mode? I don't know. I'm on the fence with this one.

I saw a speed hack today on Bridges. A Wasp came up the dirt ramp and I started firing at him with my Vulcan. The Wasp backed half way down the ramp and then suddenly, in a split second, he was half way down bridge. He lost control and tipped over the edge. I finished him off before he hit the ground. Sometimes it's hard to tell a speed hack from rubberbanding because of lag. But this one was pretty obvious.

Done. Thanks.

In the Wiki under Systems Requirements minimal and recommended. In both areas Windows 10 is not mentioned. Minimum: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 MAC OS X10.5.8+ Linux Recommended: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 MAC OS X 10.5.8+ Linux A potentially new player might look to see if he/she has the right gear to play the game. Not seeing Windows 10 listed that player could possibly assume that the game is outdated and would have to revert back to Windows 7 to play. I have seen that recently in another game. It actually said, "If you are having problems running this game in Windows 10 use Windows 7." Last night I was reading that some computers are still being sold with Windows 7 installed, but you have to buy Windows 10 (it's no longer free). In this case the player can play Tanki. However, further reading said that some computers come with Windows 10 installed, but not the option to revert back to Windows 7. In this case, the potential player may assume that he/she cannot play Tanki. I suggest this be a priority update.

Aww shux. If it was made into XP/BP mode, I couldn't play it.
-
In the Wiki, I was reading about XT equipment. It said that you can get them in special missions. Is that the same as super missions? If not, then what are special missions?
-
Personally, I don't think that's low priority. If a player is looking to see if he/she has the right gear to play the game and sees Windows XP, 7, 8. MAC OS (xxxxxxx..I forget the version mentioned), Linux, it might make that player a little confused or think the game is outdated. ("Not Windows 10? I'm not going to go back to Windows 7 just to play this game.") Recently, I ran into a game that actually said "If you are having problems running this game in Windows 10 try using Windows 7." I don't know why it said that, I didn't try to play it.

For those who don't know: You can go into Tanki Wiki, click on paints. There you will see a list of drop down menus...Garage paints, Store paints, Special, etc. Click on the type of paint you are looking for. There you will see a list and sample of each paint. Click on the sample (picture) and a tank appears with you selected paint. If you want o know how it looks on your tank, click on the drop down menus for tank and tank grade, turret and turret grade. Click on "Show." There's your tank with the chosen paint. I like any of the camouflaged paints of greens, greys, browns, black in different combinations. Personally, I think the most under rated paint is black. It hides very well at a distance with a dark background and in bushes. I've been ambushed many times with wasps in black paint. Orange or Sahara brings out the ugliness in me. Both stand out like sore thumbs. I have nothing against the color orange, it's the it's the tone and value of the color the Devs chose. I see an orange tank and immediately targets appear all over in flashing lights that says, "Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me." I am only too happy to oblige.

In Wiki I was looking at Registration Requirements minimum and recommended. Nowhere on there is Windows 10 mentioned not even as recommended it just goes to Windows 8. Is there a reason?

You're a Night Owl. Sounds like you have no problem getting to sleep or staying asleep. Your problem is your internal alarm clock (circadian cycle). It can be reset, but it takes time and absolute consistency to a morning and evening routine. I had to go through this and it wasn't easy. However, there are little tricks you can use as tools to shorten the retraining period.
