valid Ability to call "Medic" (Isida) for help.
u812ic replied to 6blTb_He_6uTb in Ideas and Suggestions
I have an account that uses Isida/Hornet. A good Isida player is very attentive and keeps track of what the teammates are doing and how the battle is going. They see who is low on health and make the attempt to get to that player before the health bar runs out. Some Isida players are Isida Slaves, some heal only friends, still others don't heal at all. These are not team players. You can call MEDIC!! all you want and they won't respond. Most Isida players know their role and respond accordingly. On a big map, when I respawn, I'll look to see where my teammates are and who needs healing. If they are at the enemy base I'll slap on a SB and try to get to them before they die. However, that isn't always possible. I may be killed on the way or the team is dead by the time I get there. I can see where teammates would get quite upset if they called MEDIC! and the Isida didn't make it in time. Missions with make X number of kills can split an Isida's attention. -
When I joined a battle I certainly wouldn't choose one with the highest rank Colonel. I can't kill most of them, unless they already have massive damage. To them, I'm cannon fodder....an easy kill...they seek me out. I would choose battles where the highest rank is Major, though I will try to battle LT. Colonels on occasion. just to see how effective my turret/hull is. Do you really think that increasing the losing teams funds would stop players from leaving a battle? Wrong!! Where's the fun in getting spawn killed repeatedly? Isn't this what games are for? To have some fun. If I find myself in a battle with players I can't kill, you bet your booty I'll leave. It has been mentioned that Tanki may impose a penalty for leaving a battle early. With MMS the way it is and then implementing the "leaving early" penalty would surely make Tanki take a very steep nosedive...right into the volcano. I'm glad to see that the Russians are more up in arms about this than we are.

I still see multing going on. Brest (Non-Pro): Our Magnum got killed twice by a Firebird. He never moved. Later, I respawned and he was still sitting there. I materialized, moved him around a bit and still didn't move. Sandbox (Pro): Team size was 2v2. My teammate disappeared shortly after I arrived. I fought off the other two the best I could and went after the flag a few times, but didn't make it. I looked on the team list and his name was still there, but he wasn't. I was out gunned by Magnum/Mammoth and Railgun/Titan. I couldn't use supplies fast enough. But they had all three active all the time. I never saw the blue dome. Kungur (Non-Pro): There were 5 on each team, but only 2 (counting me) were active. The other team knew that 3 on our team were inactive and spawned killed them. The other player and I managed to get a few shots in before being killed while they were spawn killing the mults.

After a battle is over, we are still given an option of leaving or continue. If I press continue, sometimes I stay in the same battle and sometimes I'm sent back to the lobby. What makes the difference?

That's a myth, old wives tale, not true. Psychologically speaking, talking to yourself is mentally healthy. It's called using yourself as a "sounding board." Sometimes hearing thoughts and ideas out loud can help the mind sort out what's important and what isn't. When you're angry or frustrated with another person or things are not going well at work, school, etc. There's nothing wrong with imagining an entity sitting at the table (or wherever) and telling that invisible person what the problems are. Actually, at times, that's the only "person" you can be completely honest with.

valid New game mode: Capture single objective, one life
u812ic replied to venomb6 in Ideas and Suggestions
Your mode is interesting. The one thing that I don't agree with is the supply distribution. I think the smaller tanks should have more supplies and the larger ones, less. One shot can nearly wipe out a Wasp, whereas, the same shot would only do some damage to a Mammoth. Who would more than likely use the RK? The Wasp or the Mammoth? SB the same. A small tank is already fast, but a larger tank goes mighty slow, in comparison. I use Titan. If I respawn on the opposite side of the map from where my team is, I load a SB so I can get there quicker to help out the team. Wasps and Hornets use more SBs when they need to make a quick get-away. (CTF and RGB). -
I was stationed in South Korea for a year. While I was there, I joined a group that went to Japan to climb up the backside of Mt. Fuji. That's all I can say about that.

My Great Grandmother passed a week before her 100th birthday. (Mom's side of the family) My Grandmother passed at age 98. (ditto) My Grandfather passed at age 97. My Mom had cancer, but didn't want the treatments. She passed at 92. Of my Mom's siblings only she and one brother made it to 90. The others passed in their late 70's to mid 80's. My Brother had heart problems and passed at age of 74. My Dad hated his side of the family....and for good reason. So, he didn't talk about them very much. My Grandfather (on my Dad's side) passed at age 88. My Dad had several major strokes and multiple minor strokes. He passed at age 78. I have several medical problems, so I may not see 90. But I will have lived a full life.

If I have a Firebird module equipped, will that protect me or slow me down from burning because of Vulcan overheating?
-
Yes, on another account. All of my accounts specializes in different hull/turret combos. Some have a major and a minor. This one is Vulcan/Titan (major) and Firebird/Viking (minor).

Four Mags on one team....you call that balanced? Isida trains of three or more are balanced? All the supplies of OD suddenly activated without the blue dome is balanced? Taking about OD....the winning team's OD energizes faster than that of the losing team. You call that balanced? I used to be able to kill a Wasp with my M1 Vulcan. Now, the Wasp kills my M1 Viking and the Wasp sashays away. What's wrong with this picture? The opposing team was respawn killing us. I respawned in the same place 5 times in a row. Other times, I've respawned in the same spot 3 consecutive times. I suggested that the respawning be more random. I was told...It is random...and the suggestion was declined.

Vulcan/Titan for distance Firebird/Viking for close encounters and DM

Some of the fashion trends are absolutely ridiculous. What's the purpose of guys buying pants 2 sizes too big and then wearing them halfway down their butt, showing off their boxer shorts. Was that supposed to make the young women swoon over them? At least they could wear boxers that matched their outfit. Some didn't even bother to put a belt on, causing them to walk around with one hand holding up their pants. Holey jeans. What's so good looking about them? People will pay over 100 USD for a name brand pair of jeans full of holes. Why?? When my work jeans get threadbare and start getting holes in them, it's time to throw them away and buy new ones. Skinny jeans. Their ok, I guess, if you like binding clothes. But not everyone can wear them because their legs don't have the right shape. Tight fitting clothes. I see obese men and women try to pour themselves into clothes 2 sizes too small, showing off all their fat deposits. This is supposed to be attractive? They weight close to 300 pounds and they are trying to tell the world they only weigh 200 pounds? Who are they trying to kid? Over the years, I've seen fashion trends come and go, some recycle under a different name. Take skinny jeans, for example. That's not new. When I was a teenager the guys would buy jeans and have their mother or girlfriend take the legs in so they would fit snug. They were called Pegged Jeans.

I had (I say "had") the ability to read people with just a handshake. When I met someone new, I'd extend my hand for a handshake. In that brief encounter, I got what I called "vibes" about that person. Good vibes...good person. Bad vibes...bad person. It didn't matter the type of handshake...strong or wishy-washy. I couldn't tell you why I felt that way about a person, it was just a very strong feeling that washed over my entire body. I said I "had" that ability. Unless you have that type of ability or one similar, you have no idea how disturbing it can get. This wasn't something I sought for, it was there and I couldn't control it. I met a Psychiatrist (of all people) who I later learned that had the same ability, but he was much more sensitive than I. All someone had to do was walk into his office and he had them pegged. I talked to him about my ability. He said that I had to learn how to channel it and how to switch it on and off or to build a gate that could be opened or closed. I'm not going to get into all the details. I built a swinging gate, but when someone had a very strong vibe, that would come through a closed gate. So, I built a gate that was designed to close permanently. But once in a while, even that gate fails and it's the worse vibes that get through. Now, I don't initiate a handshake. I wait until the other person to extend the hand. If they don't, that's fine with me.

I think someone should make a map that is anti-magnum or one that would be very difficult for magnum to control the map. Maybe very high walls with doorways or a city full of skyscrapers like Dusseldorf, but much taller buildings. I know there's a map called Skyscrapers, but there isn't enough of them and too much open space. Come on. We need downtown Chicago, New York City....Those types of maps. Put some winding streets in them instead of straight through. I was in a battle recently that had 4 good magnum users on one team. Game play was nearly impossible. The battle was short lived because the losing team left after they realized the magnums made it almost impossible to attack the other team. I had the feeling that they and someone on our team was on Skype or Discord together. The shots were too well orchestrated.

So, it costs me 40,000 crystals for the privilege of using all three at the same time. Has nothing to do with the modules at all. Boy, what a rip off.

valid Icon above tank to indicate typing in chat
u812ic replied to awesomepeter in Ideas and Suggestions
You would have to be typing for the icon to appear over your tank. I don't think it would be seen by the enemy, just your team. Since the merger, I seldom chat. I end up on more Russian servers than I do English and the Russians couldn't care less about my English. I know sometimes they may have a game plan, because my teammates shoot at me or block me from doing something. But I just ignore them. After all, that's the way the game is suppose to be played. Right? Teams aren't supposed to be able to communicate. Nope. Not getting on my soapbox. -
I have Kodiak T-K M1 module MUed to 7/10 (Freeze-Striker-Magnum). To buy the M2 is 100,000 Crystals, but each individual protection for M2 is 20,000 Crystals each for a total of 60,000 Crystals. Why does the M2 module cost 40,000 crystals more than buying each one individually?

Do you know what this reminds me of? No? Then I'll tell you. It reminds me of this scenario: Four friends...Mikey, JoeBob, Bubba and Snowflake. Mikey makes up a game. He calls his 3 friends and tells them about it. He says it's a really fun game and invites them all over to play. All 3 friends show up. Mikey explains the game to them. It sounds a little complicated, at first, but all are willing to give it a try. After an hour or so of playing, they decide that the game has potential and isn't as difficult as it seemed. As the weeks go on, the friends find themselves playing more and more often. By Golly!! It is a fun game. As they all play, there's discussions about some of the elements. One day, as they all gather to play, Mikey tells everyone that the game has changed. He hands everyone a piece of paper that explains the new way it's to be played. The 3 friends ask, "But why?" Mikey tells them that he has taken some of their suggestions to heart and have implemented them. Unfortunately, if one element is changed, others have to be changed, too. Again, it seems a bit complicated, but they all give it a try. Once they get used to the new way to play, it doesn't see all that bad, after all. After playing for a few months, Mikey announces that he has made some more changes. Now, the friends start complaining. Again, they ask, "But why? It's fun the way it is." Mikey answers, "Because I think it would be more fun this new way. As you can see, I've put some more of your suggestions in there. The game is still the same. The only thing that's changed is the way it's played. It'll be fun. You'll see." They all decide to give it a try. After awhile, they become accustomed to the new rules and it is fun again. Time goes by and they are all having fun with this game. One evening, they are all gathered around Mikey's table when Mikey walks in with another stack of papers. "Here ya go guys. I've made a few more changes. See what you think." They all look the papers over. Not just one, but several. Snowflake says, "You have made so many changes to this game, it hardly looks like the original. What gives?" JoeBob chimes in with "What have you done to my character? I spent a lot of time building him up to level 75 and now you take away all his abilities?" Mikey counters with "He still has his abilities, I just changed the way he uses them." Bubba says, "You've done the same to mine and I don't like it. Change it back." Mikey replies, "Once changes are made, there's no going back. It's my game, I created it and I can do whatever I want with it. If you don't like it, there's the door...and don't let it hit you in the butt on your way out." "Oh, by the way. I understand you have been telling your friends about my new game. Many are quite interested in playing. So, it's okay if you want to vacate your seat. The next one in line will gladly take it." "Thank you all for helping me develop this game into what it is now. I'm sure the new players will have other suggestions, which will be satisfied with more game changes. Actually, truthfully, I'm the one having all the fun. If you want to stay, you are most certainly welcome to. If you decide to stay, you will have to agree with all the changes I make...and there will be changes....lots of them." "Mmmmm. I never knew I had such a creative mind. I'm having a lot of fun. Aren't you?"

If he thinks he's your Dad, then that would mean he would've had you between the age of 12 and 20 (his age span). There had to be a woman involved. Ooooo this can become a sticky wicket. Solution: Ask him who your mother is, which planet did he leave her on and why did he abandon you at such a tender age.

If I understand this right, each protection will be upgraded individually. Please, clear something up for me. I have Kodiak T-K M1 (Freeze, Striker, Magnum) MUed 7/10. To buy M2 module would cost 100,000 crystals, but each one bought individually for M2 is 20,000 each (Magnum isn't listed in the garage as an individual protection so I assume it would be 20,000 crystals like the rest). Right now, I can buy each one individually cheaper than the entire module. When the new module system goes into effect, will I pay 20,000 crystals for each M2? (I was planning on MUing to 10/10 and then get M2 when it becomes available at rank Maj. Gen., the same as I'm doing for my Vulcan and Titan). By the way, why is the module so much more expensive than each individual protection. Each individually would be 60,000 crystals for all three M2 (20,000 x 3 = 60,000). But the M2 module is 100,000 crystals. That's a difference of 40,000 crystals.

With the MM, does this mean that I may be put into a DM whether I want to or not? I don't care for DM and play it only for missions. What if I find myself in a battle type I don't feel like playing (DM, for example), can I log out of the battle right away? Do I have to wait a period of time before I can log out of it? If I log out of a battle before it's over, how long do I have to wait until I can try another battle without going back into the one I just left? When the MM was being tested, players were complaining that they were sent back into battle they just left. I remember one player saying that he was sent to a battle and he was the only one there. He waited a while and no one showed up so he logged out of it. He hit the button again and found himself right back into the same empty battle. Other players were complaining that they were consistently being sent to losing teams that had no hope of recovery. Another player said that he found he was battling other players that way outranked him. His rank was at the bottom of the rank range. My rank range goes up to Lt. General with my rank at the very bottom. I can battle Major and get away with it, but above that i'm either cannon fodder or unable to a kill even with DD, I'll burn up (I use Vulcan/Titan both fully MUed M1s). Will I find myself in these types of battles? Do these problems still exist?
