  1. I am struggling to work out the reasoning behind this If a player suggested this, it would get declined because it would harm the game's economy

I'm worried about this When I started playing TO in 2018, you could earn four containers a week for only doing 10 missions Since then a series of updates made earning containers more difficult But then things were made easier again with 8 & 15 missions per week, and stars for missions which meant that players only doing 8 missions a week would get an extra container from the challenges (by reaching Tier 20 on every challenge, four containers a month) Now we have that plus the opportunity to get one container per day... How is this not going to mess up the game's economy? Will the probabilities for rewards from containers be reduced? Will equipment prices go up (again) because players don't need to spend as much real money? Is this just a desperate fix to the problem of faster ranking new players not earning enough crystals to compete with older players at higher ranks? (I've got 2.8 million crystals)
  3. @paulus2019 I'd like more details too increasing map sizes as you rank up (excluding smaller maps?) is a terrible idea

English is my first language, but I am not going to comment on other forum members' English because I know that sometimes it is not their first language I also know that their English is much better than my French or Russian or <insert their first language here>, so I just try to work out what they are trying to say instead of criticize because I do not think it is fair

    I think a lot of the complaints about Hopper / it's OD are about the ease with which Hoppers can cap in CTF / ASL and score in RGB, especially with a Crisis drone In other modes it doesn't annoy me that much
  7. It must be nice to be a Legend or near-Legend and have no downside from double XP For those of us trying to save enough crystals to buy & upgrade Mk7 equipment immediately at Lieutenant General (product kits) or Marshall, double XP is annoying

    I think I'll adapt to the loss of instant hits soon enough (and playing with Thunder on the test servers hasn't been too bad, the disadvantages of having projectiles might have been more noticeable in the Flash version); the nasty surprise today was all of these potentially OP augments > potential Smoky meta > more people either using Smoky and / or Smoky protection which was something I didn't want (I only use Smoky) Projectiles allow for realistic things like Assault Rounds trading critical hits for more speed > kinetic energy > impact force etc., so I'm not that bothered by them, even though a lot of the way I play with Smoky has relied on instant hits until now But more stupid augments? No thanks

    Will see how it goes, but I never wanted a Smoky meta my post about that in the game balance thread Sorted Ammunition will have people camping behind walls and shooting the wall and counting shots so that every hit will be a critical one, urgh

    Same for me My four accounts are Colonel > Brigadier > Major General > LT General, with GS between 6500 and 7000 When I get in to a battle where the entire enemy team is Legends, I often quit because it's too hard (but not always) If I get in to a battle where I'm the only player with a GS above 6000, I'll stay but won't play that hard, depends if a mission requires points / kills / crystals or not Balanced matches are very rare

    I don't like these missions, and usually change them I don't mind damage-in-any-mode missions, including the weekly one, because it's not difficult to do lots of damage in JGR mode and doing an amount of damage is easier than getting a number of kills, but damage-in-a-mode missions should only be for be for JGR and TDM because damage is the main objective I do a lot of ASL / SGE / CP missions because I like the modes and there's the potential for high scores & crystals if you play well (I like RGB & CTF too, when there's no Hoppers. but not for missions), but damage missions for those modes take ages and they encourage people to play TDM in those modes... ... and I wish those people would go and play TDM instead, but they won't because they wouldn't be able to get easy kills from players trying to complete other objectives and would get killed more themselves, hurting their precious K/D

  15. Skin looks nice, but I'll miss insta-Smoky (I have 1583 hours on it) Maybe Smokonuts won't be a huge nerf, but I'm not optimistic

    I haven't seen that many Crusaders, but I have seen a few with Smoky + Autocannon getting very high K/D, and it's a horrible combination to fight because the impact force makes it even harder to hit a hull that can dodge (and more HP than a Hopper) Hoping it won't kill the game further, but meta Crusader combos will probably appear

    Supply Waster ? Each shot activates a target's Repair Kit and uses up one of their Batteries ? No Damage

    That is tempting, but I'd rather spend the tankoins on something else, even a paint like Zigzag or Abstract lines in a sale Have almost 500 hours on this account and have 14/43 common paints, 23/42 rare paints, and 10/45 world cup paints Getting a world cup paint from a rare container is really annoying, but it doesn't happen that often
  19. Ones of the reasons I like using (stock) Smoky is it not being considered OP, and not as popular as some other turrets. Striker players might feel the same. But that's changing with Smoky getting one of the best AP augments and more people using Autocannon (and more people using Smoky protection, sigh) I'm worried that there will be a Smoky meta when Smoky HD and the change in its mechanics happens (even though it was a nerf for Thunder) I don't want to use the best combo, and I don't want my combo to become the best combo I'm aware that balancing is difficult and that best combos are created by accident in games, but in TO they are created on purpose and I hate that

    January Challenge I

    I opened 32 Ultra containers and 8 of them contained mines, 23 had common rewards (including the mines). It's frustrating, but it is what it is. I'll be skipping this challenge because of the XP doubling. I had almost finished the last challenge on my finishing-the-challenges account before the XP doubling started and only had to get 150 stars from missions for 4 days, so the XP cost wasn't too high. But for 10 days? Nope.

    Has the handling / the way Viking drives been changed? Last time I used it (special Halloween map in 2019, the one with OD boxes everywhere?) it was like driving a shopping cart, but now it seems to be a lot better

    There are (or should be) better chances of getting epic (2x), legendary (5x), and exotic (10x) rewards compared to normal containers as well as the exclusive rewards, but multiplying something very small by 10 still gives you a very small result Some players not being aware of that and / or TO not emphasizing it enough is a problem I've opened 21 so far from missions and have had one legendary and one epic reward (rest were one rare and four uncommon, if not common)
