Express your blind absolute rage of the overpowered Hunter Tank
Person_Random replied to simpleone in Archive
hmmm maybe i should buy hunter, I do have 237k and enough to buy juggler. Welp going to do that rn. -
intrigue but a lil risky. writing gives you the freedom to bribe the news admins by sending them blue spheres have more financial freedom in Tanki without using Tankoins.

i started a failure topic called "Is Tanki the best video game?" here's the REAL version
Person_Random replied to in Archive
i used to play games, like Tanki, now i write and make surveys. sadly they are less fun but far less addicting. so yeah i guess my life is better, although i have quite a sum of crystals so i guess i can pop on every so often to make people feel bad about their garages -
welp idk if i can enter... i have to do a lot of assignments and things like that so ill try.

Why is it that everything except number 6 applies to me. (and perhaps #8, but I can read tone in text messages and things like that, I just kinda suck at the action half of empathy) *gets blue eye contacts* There now I'm a complete genius. hehehehehe

I enjoyed this story quite a lot. I find myself able to relate to both of the characters, which is amazing since most of the time I find myself just watching a story go on, and when I can make a connection to my own life through a story, it makes the piece much more interesting. The descriptive dialogue really paints a picture in my mind. Overall, great story!

Interview Meet the New Admin: Hexed
Person_Random replied to Person_Random in Meet the New Admin: Hexed Newspaper Archive
A happy accident led me to discover our new Newspaper Team Admin: Hexed. In an attempt to write an interview, I've conjured up this article. Well, enough from me - let's read! Hexed A Wiki Administrator and frequent contributor to the Tanki Newspaper, Hexed has never failed to amaze us with his exceedingly intriguing articles about the various nooks and crannies of Tanki. Expect him to carry this on as he continues his journey as an Admin. Hello there, Hexed, can you start us off by introducing yourself? Hey there! I'm Hex, a nineteen year-old from Pakistan - though most of you know me from my in-game nickname: Hexed. I've been a helper in this game for three years, first as a Newspaper Reporter and a Wiki Editor. Then I was promoted to Wiki Administrator and now, I've also been given the responsibilities of a Newspaper Administrator. I'm currently studying Computer Engineering and love horseback riding. Well, this is really just everyone's favorite question - how did you end up playing Tanki? It's quite an interesting story, really... I've ended up telling it in like four interviews now. Here's how it goes: In the midst of a thunderstorm, twelve in the night, a door knock sends chills down my spine. It's really cold, and the goosebumps I've just gotten haven't really helped getting my body warm from the penetrating sixteen degrees of frost. It's vacation days, so everyone is literally dancing through the night every day till four or five, live buzzes and goes on as normal. I get up and try to covertly open the door, expecting a silhouetted figure to set me off. Turns out, it's just one of my brother's friends. I welcome him in, take him to the lounge where my brother and a couple of his other friends are grinding it out on Call of Duty. I go back to my room, then come back twenty minutes later to serve snacks... And there it was, in all its glory - the magnificent Smoky-Hunter M0. The graphics and quality of the game immediately caught my attention, and here I am. As the game has reached its tenth birthday, many of the players have left, citing reasons such as the Shop or the effects of updates like Matchmaking and Overdrives. However, you and many others remain dedicated. What keeps you playing? What keeps me playing is actually a lot of stuff - my jobs, parkour, events and interesting new stuff that's promised to come out. I'm eager to see where this game goes from now on, it seems like the developers do admit that this game is old and probably won't make much progress in the future, but they're still doing updates. Moving on to more helper-related questions, so while I was looking around for reporter interviews, I couldn't find your name in any of those. So did you go through the reporter-esque rite of passage? Yeah, my introduction to the Newspaper team was quite different. Let me go through the first thing that hindered my progress: bans. Pesky little bans. Anyways they ended up setting me from joining the Amateur Writing Section back a lot and I ended up almost giving up my writings. After I finally joined, I blasted the section with a number of articles I had written and interestingly, the then Newspaper Administrator GoldRock encouraged me to write more and apply for Reportership. This was my breakthrough, and I knew I would make it if I write more. I did what I did and six articles later, I received a direct message from Goldie telling me that I've been formally recruited as a Newspaper Reporter. So that's the complete story of my road to Reportership. Uhh, okay, that works, though I was looking for an interview, which leads us to our next question: Did you actually get interviewed? Actually, there was an interview. Read it here. It says there that you were known as DestroyerPdox. Now that I think of it, I had found you under several aliases while reading older articles in the archives. Could you tell us a bit about the origins of your past and present nicknames? I won't lie, I spent about an hour deciding on what my name would be for this game. I was already familiar with a lot of games that support name changes - in many cases, it isn't possible or required some sort of transaction. So I knew I would have to get a nice one. I ended up with "DestroyerPdox", which was supposed to be DestroyerOfParadoxes but somehow ended up like that. Two years later, I changed my nickname to "Antartica". Really should've Googled that name, because it was almost three months after that I realized there's also another "c" in there. Embarrassed, I wanted to change my nickname again, preferably to the correct spelling, but it became so popular with the then readers of the Newspaper that someone created it beforehand and saved it for themselves. Forced to change to something new, I took to other games to help me with a one-word nickname. Ultimately, I found inspiration in the "Hexed" black market decal from Rocket League - which at that time was my favorite decal to put on cars, costing around $10. Quite an interesting tale. Moving back to the newspaper, what exactly do the Administrators do? The Newspaper Administrator has the unforgiving job of rounding up papers and pens for the team every week. He takes care of the quality and quantity of articles flowing in and out of the Newspaper, manages the Amateur Writing, the Newspaper forum sections and the Discord server, where all reporters hang out for biscuits and tea in the evening, and makes interesting contests that everybody loves to participate in. Apart from that is the boring stuff, bragging about his Flame paint by putting it on Dictator so that people from the farthest windows in Lost Temple can see it, his forum powers, and managing his team to make sure no one gets stuck on top of a long pole or starts a fight over a tea accident. Whoops! As an admin, what are your plans for the newspaper? Any special contests? Plans? I have, upon discussing many things with the previous Administrators, laid out a roadmap for the Tanki Newspaper. See, the activity of the Newspaper really comes down to how many Reporters we have in our team. In previous times, there were a good number of active people in the team who made it possible for the Newspaper to publish five or six articles every month as part of one big issue. We’re no doubt understaffed right now, be it unsuccessful applications or a currently on-going crisis of general non-interest in the Newspaper. With that being said, for now, the Newspaper shall publish one article every Friday and run two contests per month. We are also working on a revamped Specials section which will feature shorter review- and guide-style articles paired up with a video made by officially-recruited Videomakers. We’ve already debuted with a basic tester article - a guide on Tankoins. We’re recording and scripting interesting turret and hull guides that will be published monthly starting from this month. That’s something to look for in the future! Blooper That's it for now! Expect to see great changes occur in the Newspaper as Hexed takes charge along with Flexoo. Till I finish my SAT, folks!- 26 replies

Editorials The Authoritative Guide to Wasp
Person_Random replied to Person_Random in Newspaper Archive
Yes, most of this was written before Gauss *procrastination 101*. But when I posted it, Gauss was fairly new, and I didn't have as much information as I had wanted. As a result, it was omitted from the equipment choices. Would you like it if I added it in? Hmmm... maybe. I don't hornet much. But if I have some time... Heheheh nice wordplay. But yeah, I should have employed more pictures in there. Thanks for the feedback! Lol, I understand, not all hulls appeal to everyone. Well, that would be very unfortunate. Thanks! I've actually never seen Wasp being used on spawn-killing, though it could be an innovative approach, especially in smaller maps. Have you managed to net a multikill using the technique? Hey, Jag's alive! Prior to this, I've also had two other editorials and a contest winner - check them out. I miss Nem too, MoF memories... Hey! Watch who you're talking to! Don't diss any wasp users, whether they chose it for the bomb or not. The guide was written to get the best out of a bomb detonation. Sometimes you only get one, or even no kills I'm appealing to those who want to get a few more kills, points and stars to finish the challenges faster. Anyways, thanks for the feedback. -
