    Ooh Hero kit. Dictator is too slow and the hitbox is too big for my likes though. You have to have confirmed your vote to attack the vault territory (by earning at least 5 stars AFTER choosing to fight for it) to receive the reward.

    The Railgun-Smoky interaction is just so frustrating. I know that Smoky is designed to counter Railgun but it really feels stupid when I run into a Smoky and then it's just game over in 5 seconds. All the other turrets I can at least do something about them, even if it's just putting my last dent in their hull as I die. Smoky I'm utterly helpless against at any ranges other than cross-map. They're everywhere and impossible to avoid, I can't fight back because of impact force, and once they see me i can never shake them off. To top it all off it seems that every Smoky I run into has permanent overdrive.

    I looked at the in-game stats table. It indeed shows the impact force as much lower than that of Railgun. However the wiki says that refers to the impact force in arcade mode, not the impact force in sniping mode.

    I agree that the knockback is very powerful on weapons like Smoky. However, you have to consider that Railgun only punches once and then you have 5 seconds or so to recover from that, while with weapons like Smoky you've barely recovered before they knock your aim again. Although i must say the knockback has saved me against quite a few Shafts and Railguns :P. Also sometimes Striker. But besides that it doesn't really help since most other weapons don't have to suffer a long reload if I make them miss.

    Some research has shown that Shaft actually does the same impact force as Railgun. So Railgun doesn't even have that advantage.

    It deals much much much more damage. See below for the movement thing. Aiming speed is fast enough that you can catch up with most things as long as it isn't right under your nose. Limited view is a very lenient tradeoff for how much damage it does and how reliably it can deal that damage, and anyways it's easily made up for by finding a good spot. Massive knockback won't help Railgun defend itself against anything other than occasional Shafts and other Railguns. Piercing is uncommon enough that it's not a big plus. I agree that Railgun's mobility is a major plus, however I still think this is outweighed by Shaft's many other advantages. I actually disagree with the first point. Scope mode is VERY versatile. You can choose exactly how much damage you want and avoid wasting reload. This is a huge advantage Shaft has over Railgun. Shaft snipes and kills better than Railgun and also requires less skill. The very least they could do is not make it so it ALSO does a much better job of defending itself than Railgun.

    "Minimal". Shaft's arcade is nearly the DPS of Thunder. Shaft rivals magnum in terms of op-ness at long range anyways. It deals the second-highest burst damage in the game. It would probably be OP even if you removed the arcade shot; the number of snipes it would make would still outnumber the times it dies from being close-ranged. There's a long-range turret in this game that can't one-shot anything without double damage or waiting until m2 and paying a bunch of crystals and must eyeball all of its shots, in addition to displaying a prominent trail that tells literally every single person on the map their exact position every time they fire. If this turret has to be absolute crap at short-range (which it usually is), I think a turret that can one-shot (or very almost one-shot) medium hulls WITHOUT double damage and gets a SCOPE to aim should be even more crap at short-range.

    What's the strategy for using Railgun in DM? I'm finding it super hard, since I have no teammates to cover me, and Railgun is extraordinarily weak to backstab. I manage to usually get pretty high on the leaderboard by burning supplies (mostly double damage since I need to reliably one-shot to defend myself), but I don't feel like this is correct. Is there a better way?

    Freeze deals ridiculous damage (much higher than Firebird) AND prevents/hinders you from fighting back. THAT is why it is OP.

    I entered a Rugby game on Kungur. The ball spawned once at the start of the game, and after we captured it it did not spawn again. I looked all around the map, there was no ball.     The rebalance of Railgun that reduced its burst damage in return for faster reload was kind of disheartening to me as well, since it took away the possibility of one-shotting light hulls, which means Railgun has a harder time defending itself (and stealing kills). But now that I'm getting the hang of Railgun and actually finding success with it, I'm kind of starting to think that maybe the devs were right to make that change after all. However I would not complain at all if the devs reverted that change I hear a lot of people saying Railgun is underpowered in M2 and above but as I've only played M0 and M1 battles idk.

    Ideas for the Interface

    When I'm waiting to be placed into battle (or i'm on the loading screen) I can't use any of the UI items. I can't access Chat, Garage, settings, friends, etc. That's kind of annoying. My idea is to not do this. When you bring up the Matchmaking dialog ("Preparing to Battle"), the only thing that becomes locked is the battle menu (the place where you choose what game mode to join). While this dialog is up, you can still use all the other UI elements such as Chat, Shop, Garage, all those little buttons at the top. Opening Garage while waiting will open the "in-battle" version (where the window is transparent), just like if you'd opened it while in a battle, so you can check the status of your waiting :) Like this: The buttons should also be clickable on the loading screen, and opening Garage there will also open the in-battle version. What do you think of this? :)
  22. I feel like Juggernaut is just so unbalanced at the lower ranks. The Juggernaut(s) just get to sit back and rack up over 50 kills (I was once in a JGR battle and the Juggernaut guy got 97) while everyone else can rarely get 1/3 of that. The Juggernaut is practically invincible in the lower-rank battles because they can one-shot almost everyone, and their overdrive charges so fast that you can almost never kill them before they overdrive and repair back up.

    Why did they restrict Pro Battles to WO1 and above. That was literally the only way we could play with our friends below WO1, since Groups aren't available until then.
