Changes in the balance of Vulcan, some Drones and Alterations

You have to make it extra easier for them to understand. While others may deem it unnecessary to try, I still would try in hope that they would understand. It's kind of like a 'leave no man behind' thing. Where others may fail at trying to explain something to a player, I would step in and try myself but where others would not even make an attempt to properly explain, I would urge them to make an effort. -
With the number of Compact Tanks Firebirds out there, it may become favourable to use Freeze's counterpart since you can avoid death by just firing your turret. I hate having to defrost after killing a freeze that total froze me. I would have all the frost off of me yet I'm moving as if I'm moving through quicksand. It's really frustrating. Freeze's own would be better since it has more ammo and higher direct damage than Firebird. It's more useful since you can avoid seemingly inevitable death.

Changes in the balance of Vulcan, some Drones and Alterations

Well you were the one to engage in explaining it to him. Sure it's not your job but it doesn't have to be. If you saw someone on the groud hurting and pleading to be taken to a hospital, would you say, "That's not my job"? "Give me a favour; why you don't tell him?". That right there sounds like you started a job and want someone else to do the work. If you can't explain to him in a way that he can understand, then you were really no help at all and shouldn't have attempted to help him understand. -

The players I've been playing with still bother me for my Hunter and my Mammoth's Overdrives. And I keep seeing that players are conplaining and swearing about Hornet's Overdrive being "useless". This is what I mean about Tanki pandering to superficial players. They don't dig deeper, they just go off of what they see. The more you don't know, the better for Tanki.
-
That was not what I meant by "significant jumps". What I noticed for Magnum is that the velocity at which your shots would be at when you activate Viking's Overdrive is the same velocity as your last shot. 100% velocity on you last shot, 100% velocity on each shot from Viking's Overdrive. I feel you about the Mammoth thing. I'm not ashamed to say that I've been doing it. I've been doing it since Mammoth is what I was and am using with my Vulcan on my lower account so it was a pleasant surprise when I saw that Mammoth didn't die or even received any knockback from the meteorite. I saw players whom Vikings and Hunters in many of their games and then they suddenly change to Mammoth in their next regardless of what turret they're using. Kindsad to be honest. __________________________________________________________________________________________ And yes, while Mammoth's Overdrive doesn't become disabled by Hunter's Overdrive, it does stun them. The stun only lasts for 40% of the Overdrive's duration so it's not too big of a deal for Mammoths.

Ever since I saw the mechanics, I predicted that Freeze's counterpart would be more expensive since afterburn damage is insane back in those days and today as well. I've seen a shard increase in the number of Freeze users so maybe Firebird's counterpart may actually be a bit worth it. Melee-ranged turret do have the fastest turret rotation speed. If it was cut by 50%, I think that would be equal to Railgun's rotation speed. Not too bad considering you can rotate your tank whilst rotating your turret to aim at the enemy faster.

I know right? I look at each post carefully to pinpoint at least one and I rarely see any. @Maf, is @Viking4s Russian too, or is he French Canadian? I see grammatical mistakes often but I give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's not a native speaker.

That seems like a nice way to hide a secret buff to be honest, but if that's how it is, then that's how it is. I hope you report back soon. I've been seeing more of them lately and it's frightening.

M4 Firebird with Incendiary Mix can kill an unprotected M4 Dictator in 1.5 seconds. With Booster drone at 20/20 upgrades, it can kill it in 0.5 seconds. With Viking's Overdrive, it'll kill you on the first tick. For Riconot, that's most likely a Viking player using his/her overdrive while having double damage equipped. I've seen many of my teammates get absolutely dissolved by a Freeze using Viking's Overdrive. Seems too powerful considering there is an increase in the usage suddenly.

20% isn't minor. -
Well, I was firing my Magnum while driving around the map to pass time as it was rather boring to do what I did. I didn't notice any significant jumps while I was shooting it.
-
I timed each Overdrive to see how long they would take to accumulate to 100% without any interference. Some of the times had some seconds that weren't divisible by 5 or 10 so I rounded them up or down respectively by 5 to match what would be more accurate. These are the recordings (from shortest to longest): Hunter: 1 m 50 seconds. (110 seconds) Hornet: 1 m 50 seconds. (110 seconds) Wasp: 2 m 5 seconds. (125 seconds) Mammoth: 2 m 5 seconds. (125 seconds) Dictator: 2 m 25 seconds. (145 seconds) Titan: 2 m 50 seconds. (170 seconds) Viking: 3 m 20 seconds. (200 seconds) So if there are any silent changes, we can use these as official references to the original release.

Why you should accept the fact that this game is dead and move on
Kill_the_Propaganda2 replied to X_Death.By.Me_X in Archive
I remember them mentioning it in a V-Log but I checked and I didn't hear any messages about it. I had to go to the Russian Wiki to see if there was any trivia (because of course the EN Wiki didn't have any :)) and it said that they did it so that dropping down from different elevations wouldn't result in a long flight (all the way to the bottom instead of on a lower platform) possibly landing upside down. The creator of the map agreed to the change as well. -

I still haven't received my gift on one of my accounts. I played with the account in the specified time - on April 3rd to be exact. -

Who said that Tanki battles had to be synonymous with real-life tank battles?

Changes in the balance of Vulcan, some Drones and Alterations

Reducing the afterburn damage would mainly affect Incendiary Band users. Other Vulcans are able to overheat and are sometimes put in situations where overheating is the only choice you know. Far less interesting? What was interesting about dying while shooting? The only way I see that being interesting is if you''re using Incendiary Band. Other than that, it isn't interesting. MM battles are frantic. Sometimes, as stated in the first paragraph, in order to survive, you can't stop and then start shooting again. You can die in that time. You're already getting 300 damage per second of afterburn damage for overheating. Why decrease your damage while overheating by a WHOPPING 70% on top of that? You also can't look at this from a high-rank perspective. Think about the low-ranks. 300 damage per second of afterburn is dreadful down there. Kills M0 light hulls in 4 seconds, mediums in 5 and heavy hulls in 7. For M0 Vulcan, just two seconds of shooting after your energy is depleted results in 6 ticks of afterburn damage. That's enough to kill a medium hull. It is also worth noting that protections are rare down there as they're expensive. So you're going to see them taking the full brink of the afterburn damage. It is MM, there are 8 enemies. Enemies will be coming after us. It's not like we can't be touched by the enemy team you know. Factor that in with the fact that the afterburn damage is huge, it means we're not gonna be performing that well come the times when drastic measures (overheating) needs to take place. The spin-up time decrease is negligible in the low ranks. By the M2 ranks, then there would be a noticeable difference. It doesn't compensate for your DPS dropping to 30% of whatever damage you were doing at that range. I must be using it wrong because I don't camp with it. So what if light hulls using Vulcan have to overheat in order to finish off this pesky enemy who is doing your team dirty? You want them to suffer as well? Vulcan's gyroscopic feature is hard to get accustomed to. Plus, you need your bullets to hit. You wouldn't want a Smoky knocking your light hull's aim all over the place now would you? Heavy hulls can stay stable and deal the proper damage to enemies. Why do you think people don't like Wasp + Vulcan combos on their team? Hopefully the intended effect satisfied them because Vulcan doesn't seem to be a worthy pick over any other turret right now. -
They aren't. What I saw was just the damage increase from the fully upgraded Driver drone I had equipped when I was using Shaft. Shaft is really and truly the only turret that would be harshly affected by this. It was made to one-shot medium hulls from full health but you can't even do that anymore since they have drones now. I've been upgrading my M2 Shaft and I see a lot of Hunter + Destabilisation Railguns with the Assault Drones. I was able to kill most of them before but today, almost every Hunter I tried to one-shot survived because I just barely saw the drone when I was zoomed in.

True, and I have enough crystals at the moment to switch to another M0 turret and upgrade that but I won't. I'll stick to Vulcan on this one. Hopefully by Saturday they'll buff Vulcan. In the meantime, I've been having fun with it but I hate when the light hulls pop a repair it when I'm about to deplete my energy. I'm basically a dead duck there because that 70% damage decrease is BRUTAL. I would be hitting numbers that look like: 15, 34, 45, 68, 34, 65, 21, 5, 17, 32 ,61 etc and then when I run out of energy, it turns into a repetitive: 5, 11, 5, 11, 5, 11, 5, 11, 5, 11. I've ended up in many situations where I would be in the enemy base with enemies flooding it and my energy is low. They're all looking at me and I have to stop, wind up my barrels again and then start shooting. By that time, they're already up on me and probably killed me already (those with the product kits). It also takes away a lot from my double damage since stopping and then firing again takes me abut 4 seconds and I have to do that frequently. In the heat of battle, especially since I use it on Mammoth, that is enough time for the enemy to take you down or put you in an uncomfortable position. M0 Hulls are already punished for sustaining 300 afterburn damage per second. Keeping a constant afterburn damage throughout all modifications of hulls can only result in one modification shrugging it off and another modification to struggle. We're already suffering with a relatively high damage punishment for overheating, we have to take a 70% reduction in damage as well? Seriously?!
-
You're not gonna find stationary enemies that stay stationary in the heat of MM battles. This and Incendiary Band both have a 20% decrease in damage but Incendiary Band is still better and cheaper. I can't remember the last time I saw a Shooting Speed Regulator Vulcan. If Incendiary Band didn't exist, Vulcan's pick rate maybe have been less than 3% or something. Definitely lower than Shaft and probably still is.

It's not a surprise that the Vikings are dominating in DMs.

I mentioned the mechanics on the previous page. For Firebird, it decreases your turret rotation speed a lot (50% I think) but if you're being frozen and you shoot your Firebird, it would heat your tank until it reaches neutral temperature. For freeze, the same thing with the turret rotation but if you're being ignited and you shoot your Freeze, it would cool your tank until it reaches neutral temperature. Also, what happened to the Incendiary and Cryo Bomb alterations Magnum had? I also remember Twins having a picture of a projectile that looked like the Destabilised Plasma Icon going through a block. It looked like Twins would gain penetrating power from that.

Actually, now that I think about it, Incendiary Band Vulcand would be doing less direct damage than regular Vulcans. Even if it does a bit less damage than regular Vulcans, that doesn't make up for the fact that with 1 second of shooting, the enemy would suffer 3-4 ticks of afterburn damage. That's 900-1200 damage BY ITSELF after shooting for 1 second while a Non-Incendiary Band Vulcan may only deal about 180 damage if it's M4. I'm saying it. I believe no good effort was made to balance Vulcan here. You destroyed an entire turret just because of one of its aterations. You let alterations have too much power in this game. They now have the power to destroy turrets. :/
