    Removal of Striker

You don't see it as a problem that a turret is OP?

    Removal of Striker

Yes, this has always been the case. But I'm talking about power, not ease of use. My point is that the reward you get for mastering Striker is far higher than it should be. You get better by continuing to play the game; playing MM is practice.

    Removal of Striker

Just because Gauss was OP doesn't mean other turrets needed a buff. The issue is that besides Smoky's more frequent criticals, there isn't really any characteristic of Thunder and Smoky that makes them more attractive than Striker. Striker has higher DPM than both of them. Its massive critical damage gives Smoky a run for its money. Like Thunder, it deals splash damage, with the smaller radius offset by the higher rate of fire. It doesn't have any damage drop-off at range. On top of that it has a secondary fire mode. Even now Striker protections are less common than Thunder and Smoky protections. While before it could be convincingly argued that Thunder and Smoky had significant advantage when it came to projectile speed, even that argument holds little water now, since now (1) all three turrets have a projectile, (2) Smoky's projectile has been misbehaving (at least on PC) since the day it was implemented, and (3) Striker's projectile speed has been buffed so much that the slower speed hardly matters at all but the longest of ranges (at which Thunder and Smoky suffer damage drop-off anyway). All of those things can be mitigated with practice. Lock-on is really the only aspect that it is largely up to luck. Salvo mode is for particular situations (for example against slow hulls, distracted players, Juggernaut). I hardly use salvo mode at all while playing Striker. Thunder had lower DPM and unlike Striker, suffers from damage drop-off at range. Unlike most other turrets Striker required an effort investment in exchange for a higher damage output. For the first year and a half that it came out I didn't think that the reward/effort ratio was high enough to bother using it, although a small number of Striker players did get good results. This is not to say that it was a bad turret - rather that given the nature of the game at that time when hulls and turrets required saving crystals for a fairly long time it wasn't worth it for most players. Since its 2018 buff I think that the reward/effort ratio has been either sufficient or too great (right now) - and this topic was made in 2020.

    Discussion about legend rank players.

How about an " I am Legend" option? EN2 players did the same to EN3 players and EN3 players did the same to EN4 players.

    Removal of Striker

You don't have to suffer from those problems if you stick primarily to arcade mode.

    Removal of Striker

When it first came out Striker was indeed underwhelming. But not even a month afterwards it received a buff that made it more competent, and then towards the end of 2018 it received another buff. Since that 2018 buff it has been a very formidable turret. Striker was/is underused because it has a steep learning curve, and not because it was ineffective. Have you played with Striker recently? It is a monster now. It makes stock Smoky and Thunder borderline irrelevant. The ridiculous rate of fire and ridiculous critical hit damage allow it to bully virtually any turret at medium range and, if you are good enough, at longer ranges as well.

    Removal of Striker

The old Striker was a very formidable turret. I think it was overbuffed.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

This is an intentional change made in the latest patch. What exactly is wrong with Hunter's OD?
  9. According to the latest patch notes Stun will no longer cause tanks to drop flags or balls. Long overdue change!

The legend just tagged himself. What a power move.
  11. You are probably better off asking this in a forum dedicated to computing, but you should be just fine.

    Let's Discuss Magnum!

"Magnum" means "great" in Latin (consider the word "magnificent"). Magnum's name references its high damage and (according to the Wiki) its large caliber. It is of course debatable whether Magnum is actually all that great (especially considering the disastrous effect it has had on game balance), but that's what the developers were going after when they named it.

    Let's Discuss Magnum!

Have you ever heard the phrase "magnum opus?"

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

This map was Outskirts. It was shelved due to performance problems that would ostensibly be solved when HTML5 was released.
  15. Shaft was unable to one-shot medium hulls besides Hunter for at least two years until it received a damage buff in 2017. I think it was more interesting to use back then because of the variable reload time and greater gun depression and elevation angles.

    FPS

What is your desired FPS, what are you getting now, what are your graphics settings, and what are your PC specs?
  17. There are many players who are no longer interested in playing the game but nonetheless are interested in being involved in the community.
  18. I hope that there will be a resurgence of player-made maps when the new mapmaking tools are released.
  19. At the very least damage at Mk7+ needs to be reduced from 3300 to 3000. It was originally increased to counter the drone 5% HP buff; now that drones no longer increase HP there's no reason for it to be so high.
  20. How exactly would you go about transferring a player's TO progress to TX progress, taking into account the different progression systems used by the games?

    Ideas for Turrets!

There is a 0.055s reload between shots.
  22. It is possible. You can create your own Electron app that loads the TO webpage and redirect outgoing HTTP requests for the textures you want to replace to images hosted on an image hosting site. There are other ways to do it as well but this is in my opinion the easiest.

Rewards refunded on a national level?

I feel that if your country takes a move as drastic as shutting down its entire internet system, your TO progress would be among the least of your concerns.

Turret Effectiveness vs Ease of Use

I rated turrets based on stock parameters only. Shaft doesn't suffer from any range limitations and its extremely high damage means you can easily quick scope enemies. I can pause for a split second, enable BD, and obliterate an enemy at any range before they have sufficient time to react. There isn't much to think about. Sure you can try to do more - pull off difficult shots through small cracks and whatnot - but the returns are diminishing.

Curious to see what other forumers' opinions are on this matter. Here is my take (format inspired by another forumer): Template:
