  1. Expanding a bit on Sabry's answer, the overdrive will end in 7 seconds, whether you fire or not. In some cases (like with thunder or other splash turrets in close quarters) it may be beneficial to take aim for a second before firing, but generally it's best to just let loose shots immediately and for the whole time to get the maximum power out of the overdrive.

Turret Effectiveness vs Ease of Use

IMO, twins and ricochet are roughly the same difficulty. Yeah you can just put a brick on twins, but I don't think that counts as "using" it. To use twins effectively you need to carefully control your distance from your target, lead your shots, and often dodge things to take advantage of the ability to fire indefinitely. Easily as tricky to figure out as a couple of bounces for ricochet, and only slightly less effective. Also, I'd maybe inch freeze up on the difficulty a bit compared to the other melee turrets - taking full advantage of the freeze effect takes some practice. One other thing, I'd just switch the places of shaft and vulcan. Cool chart! That's an interesting way of organizing the turrets.
  3. In the past, when Tanki has had technical issues they've given out a special mission titled "A token of apology" containing a day of premium or similar small gift to make up for the lost rewards. It's possible they'd do something like that if a large number of players lost access for a period of time.

    ?

If you complete all missions (including 2 sets of weeklies), you will need exactly 1000 additional stars. @Emeraldcat345 did some calculations with that above, but I wanted to also point out that generally in a two-week period there is some kind special mission set that can give you a couple hundred. It isn't huge, but it takes some of the sting off.

    Juggernaut

I checked with Stratosphere and the lock-on time has not been changed. It's possible that Terminator's aiming recovery time after losing sight of the target got shortened from 1s to 0.7s along with Striker's and Gauss's, but as far as I can tell from using it, that didn't happen.

    Maximum speed limit

@Tanker-ArthurTrickster is slower than crisis. Wasp Mk8: 12 m/s Maximum speed possible with Trickster (i.e. max speed for free-to-play tankers) is: 12 * 1.7 = 20.4 m/s Maximum speed possible with Crisis (max speed for any normal player) is: 12 * 2.1 = 25.2 m/s During special events, there are occasionally helpers of the game running around with the Juggernaut hull, which has a top speed at Mk8 of 18 m/s. When this is combined with a maxed out crisis, you get: Fastest speed with trickster: 18 * 1.7 = 30.6 m/s Absolute maximum driving speed possible in the game: 18 * 2.1 = 37.8 m/s Edit: @FrozenRailgun Juggernaut's maximum speed is indeed 18m/s without any speed boost; I've adjusted my calculation. Thanks!

    Let's Discuss Paints

Electra is so pretty! Took me forever to finally get it from a container. Also got Emerald and Zeus fairly recently, super good-looking and classic.

    Booster Drone

To explain in general terms what beachhouse gave an example of above, any time boosted damage is active with a drone, you get: Regular damage +50% of regular (normal supply boost) +2.5% of regular for each drone level past 0 (drone passive effect) And, while Booster's 3-second active effect is running: +100% regular damage +5% regular damage for each drone level past 0 So essentially, the normal supply boost, drone passive, and drone active effect all just stack together additively. Any percentage of power increase refers to a percentage of the original. For completeness, here's the corrected level 15 calculation (beachhouse's level 20 calculation is right): Regular + 50% from BD + 37.5% from drone passive BD boost + 175% from drone active effect = 362.5% damage. A level 15 booster will deal a bit over 3 and a half times regular damage, or for railgun's 900: 900 * 3.625 = 3262.5

    Let's Discuss Drones!

My recommendations for simple, effective drones are: Driver (boosts your overdrive charge when getting kills) Miner (as explained above, lets you plant lots of mines and keeps them around when you die) Supplier (shares supplies you use with nearby teammates) What I call the "Big Three," which do consume a fair amount of their associated supplies but are worth it for the consistent and powerful effects: Defender, which lets you be armored all the time (and extra-armored most of the time) Booster, which lets you have boosted damage all the time (and have a massive burst of damage upon activation) Trickster, which lets you go extra fast (faster than speed boost) all the time There are a couple of other drones that are easy to use and don't consume supplies, but that I don't think are as powerful in general. Here they are anyways: Trooper (spawn with full supplies) Assault (reduce supply cooldown when getting kills) Engineer (makes boxes you pick up last longer and shares the effects with all teammates) Edit: whoops, trooper does use one boosted armor when you spawn. Not too bad though.

    Viking HD and new augments

If you'd like the details of the new Jammer effect, they can all be found on this page: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Jammer
  13. I don't believe so, iirc Marcus said something about it earlier in this topic
  14. A couple years back there was a celebration with an MU sale at the beginning and another MU sale on the last day, allowing people to get 2 steps in and to cash in on the crystals they earned during the event - a super fun way to bookend the event. There have also been some events that worked as you described, with one item on sale each day. I don't think you're being too unreasonable considering what you're talking about was at one point what happened. On the plus side, the celebrations that do continue long after the sales look like they'll be fun, so I'm looking forward to them. ?

    Jammer

Hi, good question! Unfortunately, we don't currently have the details on this. However, shortly after tonight's Server Restart (2:00 UTC), the wiki editors are going to do some testing, and the info will be up on this page as soon as we figure it all out: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Jammer The info might also be available at some point in the patch notes, but as of yet there's no details there.
  16. So excited!!! The special modes look awesome, the sales and special missions are great, and viking HD is gorgeous.
  17. Hmm, indeed it should not - at least, not normally. Warrant Officer 1s can only purchase up to a Mk4 kit in the shop, and so the maximum possible GS that player should be able to have while wearing a Mk3-1 smoky module is 4895: However with some detective work, I came up with this explanation:

    Let's Discuss Twins!

I think it's been that way for a while, we just missed it in the flurry of updates. It's updated now on the wiki, along with a couple other corrections to critical chances. https://en.tankiwiki.com/Critical_Damage

    Vulcan heat damage not working

Incendiary band got nerfed with a recent update, and now only inflicts burning damage if the shooter is also under the Burning status effect (which the Heat Immunity augment prevents from being applied). Now, it's most effective to use Incendiary Band with the Heat Resistance augment, since this lets you burn but reduces the damage done to your own tank. On the plus side, Incendiary Band can now burn tankers before it runs out of regular ammo if an enemy puts it on fire.

    Jammer status effect

Currently, when no details have been released about it (even to us wiki editors) except for what we heard in the vlog: The general function is that it prevents overdrive activation It will likely be inflicted by some existing overdrives and some new augments The plan is to make it inflicted from long range (though its unclear if this excludes short-range activation) Once we get the stats, images, official descriptions, etc. the details will be on this page: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Jammer
  21. Can I have it then?

    Mks

Adding some specifics to what ThirdOnion said, you can find the unlock ranks for any modification on that piece of equipment's page (for example, Dictator and Vulcan), or find all the equipment unlocked at a certain rank on that rank's page (such as Warrant Officer 2).
