It's been a while since I've felt this much excitement for an update. I'm mainly referring to Tesla. I have never seen a weapon act like that, in any games. I can see now why it has been taking the Devs almost a year to work on Tesla. Because, unlike Gauss, they aren't rushing it this time. As for the Striker Ultra, they should really be focusing on HD'ing everything before giving the equipment skins. I got mixed feelings for the supply/drone update, nothing set in stone yet.

Lol, I should probably say then that I created this as a literal joke. Though, at the same time, I think it would be funny if this idea was an actual thing. -

And this is how it should work, gameplay wise. Because a teammate Thunder can't destroy you, but they can still knock you back. Same would apply to the Wasp bomb. You can't kill your teammates but they would be given the knockback of the bomb. Plus, the bomb will destroy the wasp who placed it. It makes perfect sense. Also, I feel like there's something you don't realize behind this idea... -

There's still teamwork. The teamwork is just trying to not kill your other teammates. -

I mean, you're right, friendly fire would become an issue, but, you can't really sabotage another player just because they got the flag and you didn't. With Wasp, you can't kill your teammates but you can still fling them, but you'll end up killing yourself if you are in the blast radius. With Hornet, you just give everyone that's in your fov AP including yourself. With Hunter, you'll disable everyone in your radius including yourself, and you're right, if a teammate or enemy comes by, they can get easy kills, which is the point. Kill stealing is already a huge thing in Tanki Online, if this update gets added it won't change a thing. With Hopper, if you decide to jump, you'll disable everyone and burn them, but you yourself will be disabled and burned, and as you're flying into the air with no hovering abilities active, you end up taking fall damage, 500 to be exact. Viking doesn't sabotage any teammates but it does sabotage yourself. Not only do you burn yourself in the process, you're stuck with 50% less damage until you get destroyed. Dictator makes other tanks explode if they have more than 67% of their overdrive, but, this would end up either destroying the dictator itself, or hurting it severely. There's also the fact that Dictator will get frozen at max freeze for using its OD, along with everyone in the radius. Crusader doesn't do any harm to teammates, but the teammates do get AP'd if they are in the way. Titan's dome is my personal favorite, it provides shield for all players, but when 20 seconds is up, the shield collapses and blows up, killing everyone. You have any problems with Titan's and Siege? I fixed it. Mammoth could sabotage someone and get the flag, but it is unable to turn left or right, making it hard to actually get them. You'd need to corner them. Overall, I don't see any problems here. : ) -

Just edited the topic and gave Viking an even bigger nerf. ; ) -
I would have to disagree with the AP effect. But, an acidic effect would be cool. Perhaps an acidic effect that deals damage but at the same time gives a slowness debuff. The acid effect will also not be temperature based, so freezing and burning won't change it. As a matter of fact, perhaps a player could receive burning/freezing along with the acidic effect. That's basically my thoughts on a new acid effect.

Just remove drones from Tanki and 5% of all problems with the game will be solved. : ) -

I figured that people don't have skill in this game anymore. Just got to press shift and then you instantly win. Unfortunately, I don't think we can return to only having the Zero Supply OD. So, my idea is to create drawbacks to the overdrives, making the player who used them more careful. I'll go down the list of each drawback for each overdrive. Wasp's N2-Bomb: When an enemy Thunder shoots you, you take damage. If a teammate is next to you when the Thunder shoots you, you both take damage. If you, your teammate, and the Thunder are all next to each other, and the Thunder decides to shoot you, you all take damage. If a teammate Thunder shoots you, you receive knockback from that Thunder. Why isn't everything I'm saying applying with Wasp's bomb? It really makes no sense. So, when a Wasp decides to place its bomb, if the Wasp who placed the bomb hasn't escaped the blast radius, that Wasp will blow up with the bomb. The bomb has the same effects to the enemies, but when there are teammates next to the bomb, they won't get hurt, but they will get flung from the impact force of the bomb. Hornet's Scout Radar: When producing a lot of radio waves to see every enemy in the map, those radio waves end up being seen by the enemies and the enemies end up seeing you and your teammates as well. Also, the ability to magically see past the enemies armor, giving them AP effects will also give your teammates the effects as well, if they are in your fov. Hopper's Detonation Jump: When jumping in the air, you end up using so much power to produce enough heat and electricity to stun the enemies, and burn them. This ends up making the Hopper use up all of it's power, making it have to recharge, giving it a stun effect. Also, as it has lost its power, the engine that helped it jump in the air lost the power to cool itself, so, the amount of heat you produced onto the teammates is also produced onto yourself. Viking's Berserk Reactor: When firing so many rounds of ammunition when the barrel is not meant to do that will end up making the gun heat up exponentially. When using Viking's overdrive, you gradually start heating up. Once your overdrive is finished, you would have already been given the max temperature in the game. Also, after shooting so fast, your turret needs a little bit of time to cool off, making you unable to reload for a small duration of time. Hunter's Electromagnetic Pulse: When producing an EMP, you end up using a lot of energy. When Hunter projects the EMP onto other enemies, the Hunter will be unable to move as it will need to recharge, during this time, its supplies will also be gone. Since you can't control an EMP, if a teammate is also in Hunter's radius, it too will receive the Stun effect and EMP effect. Crusader's Overdrive: When producing an icicle, that requires a lot of energy just to freeze and form it, then having to project it. That's so much energy the Crusader has to use. When the Crusader uses its Overdrive, the Crusader itself gives itself the stun effect, as it has lost its power and needs to recharge. Since the heaters in the hull are also disabled during this time, after using the Overdrive, the Crusader hull ends up getting the max freeze temperature. The icicle that is projected is unable to harm teammates, but teammates in its radius will receive knockback and the AP effect. Dictator's Supply Overload: Dictator's Overdrive will stay the same. But, you might want to be careful. When boosting a teammate, you give them 33% charge to their Overdrive recharge. But, if they have more than 67% of their overdrive already, and you decide to boost them, they will blow up like a maxed out Blaster Drone, hurting both enemies, teammates, and yourself if you're in the radius. For the ones who survive the explosion, they will be receiving knockback. Also, for the tanks that blew up after getting boosted by a Dictator end up having to restart their charging process when respawning. Since you can't control the temperature you produce on your overdrive, you, your teammates, and enemies will all receive the max freezing effect. Ares' BFG Cannon: Because smart fields can't identify the tank that projected them, the electric ball will zap at the Ares, completely destroying it. The electric ball itself ends up instantly destroying any tank that goes inside of it, both teammates, enemies, and you. But don't worry, it will still zap heal the teammates, zap kill the enemies, and it will still explode when hitting an obstacle. Titan's Protective Shield Generator: The shield generator itself is completely normal. All damage dealt will be 90% less effective. But, when the duration of the shield has reached its limit, the shield will collapse and explode, instantly killing all tanks that were inside the shield, including the owner of the shield. Mammoth's AT-Field: Mammoth's AT-Field is completely normal, but it is unable to turn left or right. You will be unable to make turns when you have your AT-Field activated. When 2 Mammoths make contact with each other and use their AT-Fields on each other, both tanks end up blowing up killing every tank in the match. That is all of them. Let me know which one is your favorite Overdrive. : ) Edit: I thought about it some more, and there are a few extra things I'd like to add. After using Viking's OD, the turret itself becomes degraded from firing so many bullets that now you will permanently do 50% less damage until you get destroyed. For those who use the AT Field might want to be even more careful. Now the AT-Field will destroy teammates as well. During Hopper's period of flying in the air being disabled, its engines are disabled making it unable to stick the landing. This will cause it to deal damage to itself upon impact on the ground. The impact damage will be 500. This impact damage will also apply to any teammate or enemy that gets hit by the Hopper. Another Hopper change, Hopper's OD now effects teammates as well. Teammates will now get burned and stunned if they are next to Hopper. Titan's Dome will also protect any enemy that is inside of it. Though, they too are at the risk of the collapsing shield. Last but not least, for every teammate you end up killing with your overdrive, you will lose 10 points per teammate. For example, if a Titan Dome is about to collapse and explode, and 5 of your teammates are inside that dome when it explodes, they'll all die because of your dome, so, you lose 50 total points. If you end up destroying a teammate with your AT-Field, you will lose 10 points per person. A pretty reasonable addition to the game with overdrives like these. -
You're absolutely correct. I had no rights to make it go personal. In any arguments I have, I usually never have to resort to going personal like I did here, I think it's quite pointless insulting other players when you've never met them in real life. That being said, when I do end up having to go personal, it's usually less immature, and has actual reasoning to it. Usually when I take things personal, I take it depending on what the other person has been saying, and Boboi has been showing(Just from what he's been saying) high levels of superiority, carelessness towards others, and super selfish. Now, I don't really care if one player is better than me, I'm not really like that. I think I'd rather be in 2nd place than be in 1st place. Because I'm not the type of person who tries to be the best. But, when a player likes to brag that they are better, I can't let that slide. The whole point of what I was trying to say, before having a chat with Boboi, was that, garage prices were too high, and xp gain was too high, and the amount of crystals you could gain was too low. Making things unbalanced, and I think a ton of people would agree with me there. But, Boboi had to start talking. Anyways, no, what I'm saying right now is not me trying to get you on my side of this. I respect your decision that you're on neither side of this. I do agree with what you're saying, and as long as no one is bragging that they're better, I have no reason to lash out at people. I think overall, that argument distracted me most of the time on the point I was trying to make. But yeah, that's about it.
-
I don't think you get what I'm trying to say here. I never said we should all have maxed out equipment. I never said that we should all get equipment for not working as hard. All I'm asking for is balance. Balance to the gameplay, balance to prices, because current Tanki... this, the game we are all playing right now... is NOT, and I repeat, NOT balanced. "I want EVERYTHING for cheap," no, I want everything balanced, which, in some way, yeah, making everything cheaper. I think you seriously took what I said out of context, because I know what inflation is, I know the damages it will cause, but if you even make items 20% cheaper in a game like Tanki, it is far from even causing a little bit of inflation, because that's how high prices are in this game. Though, you do bring up a really good point "gotta work hard for it," that's how life works. But at least in the real world, the effort you put into your job is quite worth it. The effort one player has to put in to compete with the players at his rank is sooooooo not worth it. I don't think you'll get this since you're a no life Tanki player, probably having a lot of free time on their hands because their mom pays the bills for the basement they're living in, but, most people in the world don't have the actual time to put the amount of effort Tanki is requesting you do in order to compete against players your rank. "How could I possibly not find the game enjoyable when I use overpowered combinations that I worked and planned for for a long time???" "Are you trying to say that you would feel miserable if you get stuff that you yourself intentionally worked for? Are you gonna be miserable when you gonna buy a new nice car?" Let's say that "overpowered combination" is Gauss+EMP with Viking+EMP Immunity with Defender Drone, and we're comparing that to items in the real world) Well, I would gladly answer that question. If that stuff makes other people suffer, then of course not, I wouldn't dream of it. Why would I want people to see me as an insufferable douchebag? Or, why would I ever plan to make other people suffer? Are you saying you wouldn't mind buying a car that's so loud and disturbs the peace and quiet of the neighborhood? Are you seriously admitting that you're that bad of a person? You're the one here comparing Tanki to reality, and every time I compare what you said to reality, it just makes you sound like an awful person. You never said you weren't selfish. From the sounds of it, you're defending why you get the right to be selfish. That's what I'm getting out of what you're trying to say. While I'm over here speaking on the behalf of all the players who have a hard time spending or gaining crystals, you're over there speaking on the behalf of yourself. First off, the crystal gain for battles was increased by 2x, and the xp gain for battles was increased by 4x. Not sure where you got 2x xp and 3x crystals from. Second, like I said, the amount of time and effort Tanki wants you to put in the game in order to be equally matched with the others at your rank is super hard. People have to do school, go to work, help out their families, none of which I assume you do, since, you seem to have no complaints. They can't possibly work that hard. So, it would appear that only those who no life the game and those who are buyers are the ones that will be at the top, and for the rest of the other players, will be stuck at the bottom as those at the top will throw rocks at the ones at the bottom. There's also really no middle ground, there's only those players who try to climb up the mountain but end up getting exhausted and falling back down to the bottom. That's pretty much how I see it.

I'm sure the veterans wouldn't mind if that happened.

Bold of you to make a claim saying that we suck at spending or earning crystals, and when you say we suck, are you only talking about the players who haven't spent a penny on this game? If so, then you make a really good point. Most players on this game can't buy everything that they want, or earn as much as they'd like, because like I'm trying to say, the crystal gain is too low, the crystal prices are too high, and the exp gain is too fast. At this point, I think it's obvious to me that you're not seeing the bigger picture, and you should honestly get off your high horse. Any normal person would understand that the prices are too much, and the amount they gain is too little. If you have no complaints about the prices/crystal gain in this game, then you obviously don't care because you have your credit card. Antillis brings up a pretty good point, I think most of what they're saying is true. Sure, maybe it is true that you spent nothing on your alt account, but overall, you do seem like the type of person who is selfish. You never really denied the fact that you find the game enjoyable because you use the most overpowered combinations. Literally using Tanki's mess ups to your advantage. I could ask literally anyone else if there's something wrong with how much we gain or how expensive the garage is, and I'm positive that majority of players would agree with me. Hell, maybe there are some buyers out there who aren't selfish and would agree with me 100%.
-
Which leads to the problem. Why would anyone start an account just to only use 1 tank combination? It's not much of a bother towards players who make tons of accounts, because they can use separate turrets on separate accounts. But, for example, a new player joins the game, they don't want to put in the work to make multiple accounts for different turrets, so they have no choice but to use 1 turret, 1 hull, and 3 modules. The player is going to end up getting bored before they could even reach Mk5 for their equipment. What I'm trying to say is, there's no balance here. If you want to have equipment that matches the level of your rank, then you have no choice but to only use 1 tank combination, but then you'd end up getting bored because you're using the same stuff over and over again. If you want to try and enjoy the game more by using different turrets and hulls, then you can't really compete against the players your rank, because you have a few other turrets and hulls and you can't gain enough crystals to upgrade them all, then the game won't be enjoyable.
-
Right, 1 million earned in battles. I could believe that. 2 M4 turrets, 2 M4 hulls, 3 40% modules, and a maxed out drone. Let's do the math. On average, before Mk update and after Mk update, the price for a turret would be 820k. Do the same thing with hulls, and that makes up 700k. So, that's 3 million crystals so far. The drones MUs cost a total of 1 million crystals, I would assume you didn't use Brutus. That would make 4 million crystals. Last but most certainly not least, the modules. 1 Module Mk1-Mk7 costs 385k crystals. Multiply that by 3, and you get a little over a million. Make that 5 million crystals. That's 5 million crystals spent on all the equipment you said you had at general. Well over 5 million if we want to have exact digits. And you know what? Let's say all the equipment you bought was on 50% sales. It's simple math if we're not counting speed ups. 2.5 million crystals. You said you gained 1 million crystals just from battles. So... where did the other 1.5 million come from? I don't think regular containers could get you that amount of crystals in the amount of time it took you to get 1 million crystals.
-
How could I believe that about someone else when you're not really sounding that believable yourself. Didn't someone just expose you an hour ago for buying?
-
No no, I knew what you were talking about. "4 accounts having 2 maxed out turrets and hulls having 3 modules at 40% all having a maxed out drone." The part I wasn't clear on was if all 4 of your accounts were existing during the time when Mk's became a thing. But now that I know, that just makes it even more unbelievable. There's so much that just doesn't make sense with what you're saying. If you were a non-buyer, and you had M4 turrets and hulls with a maxed out drone and 3 modules at 40%, all of this being with 4 accounts, then, the only way this would sound possible was if you weren't General Rank, and instead you were a few ranks higher. Because, gaining that amount of crystals by playing would mean that you would have gained a huge amount of xp along with it. If you were playing during the time Mk's were released, you would understand that during that time, non-buyers couldn't gain a lot of crystals. They could gain as many crystals as they did during the time when doing 1 mission every day gave you 4 containers and a weekly reward each week, if they put in triple the effort as they did before. But you said you had 4 accounts, so, putting that much effort into 4 accounts and gaining 4 M4s 3 40% modules, and a maxed out drone. That would only be possible if you actually used money and bought yourself crystals. I think you and I both know what I was talking about when I said, "coming from a Legend 63 player who uses Magnum, Railgun, or Gauss with their Viking or Hornet, using their Booster drone or Defender drone, probably using some overpowered augments like EMP, Mortar, or Scout, with Stun Immunity, AP Immunity, or EMP Immunity." But hey, I'll explain myself. You're only enjoying yourself because the combination you decided to go with is beyond op, and could get you easy kills and the top spot on the leaderboard. I mean, you weren't denying any of what I said, so I must be correct. As long as you're the one with the overpowered combo, the game is fun for you and for you only. Doesn't matter what other players feel about it.
-
Well, now I know that's a complete lie. I've been non-buying for 10 years, and played on 4 accounts for 6 years. The only time I was actually able to gain a lot of crystals was when doing 1 mission a day would get me 4 containers at the end of the week. Since I played 4 accounts, I just had to complete 4 missions a day, and I got a buttload of crystals. But even so, that could only get me 1 maxed out turret, 1 maxed out hull, 3 modules that aren't close to being maxed, and no drones. Back then, missions didn't give you much for completing them, so, doing 3 missions during that time didn't mean anything. Also, at general rank you had 3 modules at 40% protection? But.. an Mk6 5/5 Module is only 35%, and you need Marshal to get Mk7. So, unless that account was existing during the time when some players got M3 equipment without Marshal, I do believe you're making this stuff up. Either way, even managing to get 40% at General is still pretty hard for most non-buyers. So, I find it hard to believe that you had 2 Mk6 10/10 turrets and hulls, 3 40% modules, and a literal drone that is maxed out. All this talk is coming from a Legend 63 player who uses Magnum, Railgun, or Gauss with their Viking or Hornet, using their Booster drone or Defender drone, probably using some overpowered augments like EMP, Mortar, or Scout, with Stun Immunity, AP Immunity, or EMP Immunity. I'm sure you do find it very enjoyable getting the easiest kills with the most overpowered combos, getting first place every round with double the score as the 2nd place guy? Wow, that makes sense now. You have no room to talk about having to only use 1 tank combination.
-
Sure, yeah, that's reasonable. Max out 1 turret, 1 hull, a few modules, and a drone, which should take a few months or years, depending on how often you play, and THEN get a new turret that is M0 and would require you to spend time and crystals upgrading. The thing is, I don't think anyone would want to go to legend only using 1 tank combination. They'll literally get bored of it. You're forgetting that games need to be actually enjoyable. If you have 1 tank combination maxed out, you'll get bored of it, if you have 10 tank combinations that are M1, then you'll quit the game because you can't fight back against the M3 players, because you're at that rank now where you can get M3 stuff. Buyers aren't affected by this, by the way. They already have all the equipment they need and the upgrades required.
-
Yes, it's achievable doing that, but would you be able to enjoy yourself? Only being able to use 1 tank combination?
-
Oh trust me, I know. I work on 5 accounts every day and I earn 15 containers per account each week. So, if there was nothing wrong with how much crystals I earn a week, I wouldn't be complaining. For starters, everything is heavily overpriced in garage. On all 5 of my accounts, I manage to get my turrets and hulls micro-upgraded before the rank requirement to send them to the next Mk, but my Modules are so expensive that they always fall behind. Granted, I use 3 hulls and 3 turrets per account, so, it makes sense why I can't get my Modules upgrades on time. But, that's 3 turrets and 3 hulls, a non-buyer can use 1 turret and 1 hull, and manage to upgrade 3 Modules on time, though, the cost is, you only get to use 1 tank combination. I think most players would prefer being able to use multiple other tank combinations. It kinda gets boring if you only have 1. Another thing to point out is that drones exist, and if you've seen drones in action, you'll know that if you don't have a drone, you can't compete against the others. But, drones are super expensive and take months to micro-upgrade without speedups. I don't have any drones on my accounts yet, but I'm sure if I end up buying a drone, I'll be unable to either upgrade the drone, or upgrade my turrets, hulls, and modules. Overall, prices in garage are too expensive and 4 50% sales can't cover it. What makes this matter even worse is xp gain. If you gain a lot of xp in a short amount of time, but don't gain enough crystals to upgrade the already expensive equipment, you're going to fall behind. Actually, I think the special events makes it even worse, because on special events your xp gain is technically 8x, and your crystal gain is 4x.
-
I think 4 50% sales wouldn't be at all that bad... if prices weren't so high in garage. A non-buyer needs 1 maxed out turret with an augment, 1 maxed out hull with an augment, 3 protection modules maxed out, 1 drone that's maxed out, and tons of supplies, in order to compete with the buyers, who already have that stuff.
