[Issue 44] The Dumbest Anti-supply Arguments of All-Time!
sonofchrysalis3 replied to sonofchrysalis3 in Newspaper Archive
You aren't the first one to say this. Another said the formatting was bad, and I can't disagree. The time I should've been devoting to editing and shortening this article was being used for writing a... uh... something for next issue :P . Thank you for your input; editing will be more emphasized in the next go-round. -
[Issue 44] The Dumbest Anti-supply Arguments of All-Time!

Thank you for your constructive, useful advice. -
I bought a chocolate pudding from the local bakery! Is that better? :)

The second half of what you say, MandolinMarc, can be summed up by saying "to each his own", and that is entirely true in Tanki. Some players can use a Mammoth Smoky and capture flags in Lost Temple. That. as I said in the introduction of the first DTaS, is the beauty of Tanki: anyone can use any equipment to become a legendary player. So I completely agree with you there. My list of ranking is for the average tanker, based on my observations of what works best for the majority of tankers. It is not intended to mean "you must use this stuff or you will lose", it is just there to show what everyone else usually does well with.

Have you read the rules recently? The following things are forbidden and will lead to a temporary or permanent block in the forum (and chat): Trolling in any form

That's utterly impossible.

In all my months of playing at Rio, I have never had a "buggy" problem. That's not saying the map isn't buggy for some players (I tend to have a lot of technical problems at Berlin), but it may be a computer issue on the player's end. And by "go from the top" I'm assuming you mean to jump off of the building and land on the blue flag. While that certainly is the quicker way, it requires just the right hull, recoiling turret, and timing to keep from hitting the roof of the smaller building below and flipping over short of the flag. The jump from the top is something most players simply can't pull off. The ones that do, though, dominate Rio every time.

They count at a steady rate unless stopped by a score cap. I guess you mean those bizzare day-long timers that players sit in and tally up tens of thousands of crystals for themselves. I've seen those and they are rare.
-
Then the battle will end when you hit the score cap. Still as simple as that.
-
The battles have timers. The battle will end when the timer hits zero. As simple as that.

Penguin40 and I played Madness CP earlier and it was fantastic! Our team won 42-40.

Dear whoever you are. The update has added a good new level of balance to the game! It has made the battles more exciting, scores closer, and players who claimed to have skill must now prove it. Thank you for listening.
-
Ah, yes, the allegation that this update makes losers win and winners lose. That is wrong. It makes battles wherein a team wins by a landslide because they had no competition from their opponents obsolete. Now, the CP mode is balanced to where both teams have a chance. "Aw but Stratus it's the losing team's fault for not being more skilled!" Aw but silly tanker, you can now prove your skill more profoundly because now you actually have a decent enemy! No more beating a practically powerless enemy and prancing around the forum afterwards, boasting about your "skill".
-
Incorrect. It is perfect. And now the score cap seems a bit unnecessary, as the battles will rarely hit the cap....
-
I am SO EXCITED about this CP update! Finally, no more 200-2 battles!

Yes, a changeling is a shapechanger.
-
And how would that would be a bad thing...?

Don't mind if I do, Shadow. 0.

Poor KillerGnat, the average life expectancy of ponies on your planet may be minute, but the average changeling is middle aged when he reaches the ripe old age of around two thousand years. The oldest Alicorn on our planet is Regality, weighing in at over seventeen thousand years old.
