And I find it interesting as to the choices of negative direction this game is taking almost as interesting as the choice of people posting comments trying to justify the negative direction. Why wouldn't the answers to the 'questions about the new rules' be answered in the open forum--for all to see--so there are no 'grey areas', no miscommunications, no moderator personal interpretations of rules on enforcement, and no surprise bans? I mean, Napoleon was a convicted criminal but a brilliant war strategist--which actually has a loose context within tanki about strategy. Is just mentioning his name a rule breaker? Or does this fall under the category: Political agitation ? Bad or strong language Speaking of blurry rules, define 'bad'. Bad means good in the USA. Promotion of unhealthy lifestyle So if I say 'go eat butter', that is a ban-able offence now? And can you get multiple point violations on one post? What everyone is experiencing today with lag, log-in issues and crashes is what happens when tanki actually gets some of its lost players back.

Just had another 'interesting' phenomenon happen. I played 4 games where I had another tank (d3stroy3r) 'follow me' from one battle to another for each of those FOUR times. Sometimes on my team, sometimes my enemy. I kept leaving the battles within the first minute or two due to the terrible MatchFaking going on. Finally, after seeing him in match #5 out of seven games, I asked him if he was leaving battles early, like I was. He said 'no'... Interesting.

I just played in a game where an enemy wasp detonated his overdrive bomb 5-6 times in one second. Multiple bomb explosions within one minute. Haven't seen that one before.

Very, very few players actually participate in the missions anymore. And to be honest there really isn't any benefit. I can die 5 times trying to take the flag from point A to point B unsuccessfully, or I can sit and camp and destroy an enemy tank on the other side 5 times trying to do the same thing. Add to that the MatchFaking GS fiasco and it's no wonder camping evolved as a viable strategy (albeit a boring one)

I agree. I think camping has evolved--to some extent--because the MM puts tanks of a low gear score up against tanks of a much, much higher gear score. Why would someone in that predicament do anything else BUT camp? There are few reasons left to choose a short range turret. The distribution--by far--these days is long range turrets get better results than short range.

Tanki exists to make someone money. That's it. That is tanki's sole purpose in existence today. Tanki is a business. It just takes the shape of a game. Almost everything tanki does is to try and increase profit. Tanki is a business. If they can make more money by having an imbalance, that is exactly what they will do. If they thought they could make more money by having balanced matches, that is exactly what they would do. Tanki is a business. It just takes the shape of a game.

My complaint is: This is yet another example of terrible MatchFaking. Although some would brag about finishing in the top three of the winning team, I'm not sure why. Doesn't look like a fair match to me. But then, I guess tanki has gotten so terrible that this kind of thing is all there is left to brag about. (It's like a 30 year old bragging he just beat a 10 year old in a game of basketball...)

As has been suggested dozens and dozens of times in the past half-decade, they could easily fix matchfaking if they wanted to. I'm not going to summarize all the ingenious and brilliant (and valid) ideas that everyone has come up with. The fact remains that there is--literally--no other reason that tanki alters the game for--except money (as Opex has indicated). None. If it makes you feel better that tanki is 'innocently' putting high level GS in with low level ones, that's ok by me. I'll stick with my decade+ of updates/evidence/changes/alterations to the contrary.
