Yeah true; a single shot from Twins does far less damage than a single shot from Thunder. Yet every form of protection is still applied in %. Are protection modules rigged?

Ah my bad, I didn't get that initially. Yeah true, I always target the Isida first, but they sometimes come into the base with 3 of them; healing themselves up. It instantly makes Magnum useless in that situation so I don't mind that unless I am one myself. But it's so overpowered in this regard and they usually bring in short range guns like Hammer and Rico. Everything stands and falls around those Isida's.. no medkit is going to justify this. One of those Isida's will probably latch onto you with massive DPS and you'll be dead before you know it. All damage dealt is patched up within 2 or 3 seconds because of double damage. I forgot to mention that double damage on Isida is way more valuable because it affects both healing and damage. Ugh, I stay away from them as much as possible. Perhaps I should invest crystals in Ricochet to knock them around. Shaft, Magnum and Striker are my most used turrets currently... maybe it's those turrets that are extremely underpowered against Isida so I don't have the overall impression of this situation.

10 VS 10, Yes and Viking

Ohh yeah for sure it works and it barely fails  They can create HP out of nowhere and hide behind a Firebird doing all the killing, The core ingredient makes a deadly recipe..

The two words I hate on an advice... but yeah; it depends I own both alts and use the precision targeting system alt only when I sit in bushes on maps like Kungur. You can really suprise the enemy with that alteration. Personally I go with the knockback alteration for 70% of the time. I rely on knockback a lot and it is always there. The critical hit also isn't so critical up in the higher modifications of Smoky; the difference between critical hits and normal shots is less substancial at M3 than it is on M0 and M1. I barely use Smoky anymore though, it used to be my favorite turret especially with the knockback alt.

Yeah true, we're still playing a point and shoot browser game. Nothing can be done about that. :P

The key to use Shaft effectively is spending as little time in scope mode as possible. You want to make sure there will be an enemy in the time you spend up charging to make the blow; so all what limits you would be the charge rate itself. The same principle counts for every weapon really... Make them reach their ultimate DPS.. but for Shaft it's very critical because it deals massive damage per shot. Exaggerated example: you don't use Twins for peek-a-boo like you would do with Railgun. I prepare myself by looking at the surroundings a lot, mouse controls really help too since you can swipe the camera around without turning the turret. All in all it shouldn't come down to patience unless you really want to take down a specific enemy-- flag carriers for example.

Yeah if it sits safely behind the wall surrounded by mines, the only enemy would be another Magnum I suppose. So you won't die... but you won't land any effective shots either when those damn Isida's heal everything in seconds. They key to win battles is to use Isida anyway, multiple Isida's make one massive stronghold. The fact that they can keep themselves alive- making HP from air- it's just asdfgasdgasdhgf... ----- I get rammed by Hammers a lot too when I use the Swagnum, they really target you before other enemies. (after Isida that is) Striker gets practically ignored especially when I mount it on Mammoth with a boring paint. As Magnum you're way better protected if you poop mines all over the hideout. In Barda, quite a few of the kills I get come from mines... I can safely sit back and press spacebar the entire battle.

My best result so far :D

Yeah, I estimate my average K/D ratio with Striker at 0,8-1,2 or something, even Isida pulls out those K/D's. Barely used the salvo except for a lonely enemy in longer ranges but the homing missiles often miss too; hulls are just too fast. On the other hand, mine can do 1600 damage per shot with the reload of a Smoky; sort of... If it hits, it hits hard. It packs a serious punch for a stock M3.

I barely see any plasma-core-accelerator alts around, most of the Twins users ram into me while firing blindly. They had to buy an alteration for it to remove the splash damage, which to me looks like Twins became an extremely expensive turret. But I am not a Twins user so I don't know..

Tinypic heeft een size optie, bij 640x400 wordt het naar mijn idee pas klein genoeg.

Enemy Isida trains.. the worst sight in every battle
-
You will be invincible behind cover. Get the Magnum. Rain down shells at the enemy defense and you should get a steady stream of XP and kills. Go for Shaft though if Isida trains keep stealing your flag, It's better putting down enemies one at a time but you'll need to expose yourself to do so. I had the occasional battle with Magnum where I only aimed for individual flank-defenders just to get score. The Isida's in the base healed themselves and gained a lot of points because you can't often take them down at one blow.

Ambience; I played this trough our PA in church last week, it was magical..

You got that right buddy.

The purest form of hypocrisy right there.

Lol Guido, I've always wondered what drives you so extremely furious against me. The on-going Magnum vs Shaft arguement and now this.. You totally gone nuts again my man; the GIF was no statement but just a brief moment where no damn salvo mode could've changed the outcome. EDIT: @willie, Thanks man, I'll force myself these upcoming weeks to get more hours on Striker. I'll keep your tips in mind. It's so tempting to lean towards Isida's cheapskate-gameplay after a bit Striker struggle though haha

Then I currently choose to deny (your) reality. I can lead enemies and miss because of the auto-aim mechanism not seeing them, or I can point the turret exactly at them and let rockets pass behind them because they don't travel fast enough. But I am getting better with this thing every game so we'll see how this goes. I like how it deals massive damage when the rockets do hit; all of this with a relatively fast reload.

False, the road would be in the way. I should've used Titan.
-
They added it so you can buy an alteration to remove it.
-
Yeah exactly! it's really difficult to aim. The hull rocking makes up for it sometimes though and that was the main reason why I tested it out.

I've been out using it with Wasp. And it sucks.
