What really gets me is that these players are high-ranking legend status players.  But play like it's their first game.  I really dont understand what is going on with so many of them.  You can excuse a few now and then, but they sometimes outnumber people actually playing for real.

I would rather play against the bots than people being stupid.  At least you can't blame a bot for being a bot.

I am a pretty casual player. I have been playing on and off for years and I had an account for the game in the early 2010s that's lost to time. 

But I do play casually. I grind events and get nothing worthwhile from chests which I mention here pretty much every event lately.

The exp change has been the worst. I got to commander and such just fine casually but the forced exp put me into legends just recently and it is horrible. everyone has maxed prots. Everyone has crisis. Everyone has armadillo. I went from consistently being at the top of my matches unless there was an excelsior to not even being able to break out of the bottom 3. My maxed hull gets one shot constantly even with my drone maxed.  my maxed turrets rarely ever one shot any of these people. 

The only upside is teammates are more consistently good but even with being okay with the game it feels like I cant compete. I made it to legend. What do I get? a basic key you used to be able to buy once a day. 

 

 

Its so hard to get stars now. When you reach legend they should at least make the chest drop rates better. this is so bad

The balancing of some of these augments would make you think that everyone has basekit Excelsior HP on their hulls.

Criminally poor game play today.

This unfortunately is now the norm.

Players rely to heavily on augments. This has created a sub standard player base who can't engage in battle with any semblance of skill. Again this will continue to be the norm.

Just goes to show how much the game has nose dived in recent years. From gimmicks to bots, to flying tanks, to a diminishing player base constantly replaced with bots and sub standard players. 

The game is now beyond any hope of changing for the better.

They will milk it until it no longer becomes a viable option to sustain.

The state of tanki online is dire and will not improve, but get consistently worse as the months go by. Again this has been the norm for a long time now. 

Just played a battle were the aimless bots got me killed three times and the enemy capped twice because of it. 

I think using the term "half wit" was probably being overly generous.

With meta slop becoming excelsior crusader + camper/excelsior, smoky/twins/vulcan, it is genuinely unbearable how unplayable MM has become. When I came back after a long break in around 2020, I thought EMP Gauss was toxic. Helios was OP, but not exactly toxic wasteland, many would argue, imo. And then misc. random augments that were powerful, but unless half of the enemy team had it, you'd just get annoyed by them and forget it by the next match or until you see a patch note.

Thing is, we had 1-2 exotic augments that 1 in 100 people had, probably. Now? We have 7 extremely OP augments (just counting ones mentioned above), and then probably like 20+ of 'modern day' EMP Gauss and Helios. And how hard are they to obtain? Well, if it was 10/10 back then, now its like a 4-5. So instead of 1 in 100 people having this OP item, now its 2-4 people having this OP item in ONE TEAM.

Flying hulls were already clearly (stop the copium) more OP than... Tanks, by a noticeable amount. Now, with addition of excelsior, which just is a blanket buff to a hull, floaters became x10 more OP on top, while Tanks just got what feels like cool little buff in HP. If we say the power ratio between floater and Tank is 5:1, then with excel., it's like 20:2.

Now, as we mentioned above, with 2-4 people having excel. floater per team, how is anyone who doesn't want to use a single hull forever suppose to play?

Excel. Mammoth/Titan is genuinely the only useable Tank right now, other excel. Tanks just feel like paper tank in the current meta, while on the side of floaters, Hoppers feels genuinely like im using some kind of hack, crusader is just gapping everything in terms of OP, and ares just feels like cheaty version of Mammoth/Titan.

Hazel said 'players not dying is boring' or whatever, Repair Kit cooldown can be 5 seconds for all I care, it wont change much, unkillable meta slop floaters stay unkillable, and everything else gets destroyed by like 3 Twins balls (not even exaggerating at this point...).

At the lower ranks maybe. At Legend rank you get destroyed just as quick as any other normal hull.

I had wrote a reasonably lengthy post about what was making the game rubbish, but a mod, without any reason to do so deleted it. In my opinion it was out of abject spite.

Below legend ranks? It's kinda ok. On legend matches? All i see is Crusader Excelsior and Defender with some broken turret augment that can melt me or one shot me even when i'm using defender, while it takes me countless direct hits shots from magnum to kill them if they don't repair. Well, not like they'll care and change anything.

There is also the issue the older Legends DON'T want to play Tanki as it exists now.  I won't by a hovering hull, I use drugs on occasion, Tesla turret will never get used in my garage.  A lot of Legends play because they're invested, but the new dog won't hunt in their world.  0/32, hey if you refuse to use drones and just have an Mk1 Brutus, so be it.  There more of us than people think.  I use drones, but only because had to spend my crystals on something.  I have grenades, don't use them.  Magic augs like bezerker and that dumb "angel" one that just saves a Tanki from a killing hit, non-starter in my garage.  We keep playing and then dweebs who have raced up the ranks complain about Legends that "have no business playing of holding the rank".  Sorry Johhny come lately, you're the outsider.  Don't like it, kick rocks.  We were here first.

The new Legends, about 90% of them have flown through the ranks at such a pace that they just do not have the resources (crystals mainly) to upgrade nothing more than a couple of maxed out combos, and maybe a half dozen protections at best.

I remember when around 10.000.000 crystals, maybe a tad more could max out an account. I would guess that number has now doubled.

The system behind ranking is flawed, in so much as you gain far to much XP compared to crystals.

The current set up does not do any favours to players who are at the lower ranks. Of course the developers know this, but they will not change the system to allow lower ranked players to progress more slowly in order to acquire enough crystals to upgrade at the next rank. 

Unless you are prepared to spend money, the average player will suffer greatly when reaching Legend rank-cannon fodder I believe is the term associated with most new Legends.

The cannon fodder (CF) Legends are basically just making up the numbers. These CF Legends stand no chance against well established Legends who have had years, or money, or a combination of both to MAX out their account. 

The developers will never change this system of ranking, thinking that enough players will fall into the trap of buying their way out of being an underpowered joe player just making up the numbers, which of course they are, unless they spend cash.

It's the player base that has empowered the developers to carry on with this simple, but very effective money maker. This is why, in my opinion the CF Legends will soon outnumber the old guard. 

The "old guard" has no need to spend cash anymore, having acquired everything they need to compete at a reasonable level. This is an ongoing combination of skill and having most, if not all of the top tier augments.

This is the current state of the game and it does not look very appealing to most players.

Not looking good for you CF players I'm afraid, not unless you dip into your bank balance.

This so far is the worst time in the games history to be a new or low ranked player.  

New Legends, (90%) of them will remain in the CF ranks for a very, very, very long time, if not longer, and maybe even beyond that.

I've read all that above, maybe people do go up the ranks too fast, I dont know I have only the one account.  This doesn't explain why it takes many of them 3 goes to pass a corner without bumping into a wall or the corner of it.  Or ending upside down, most of the people I have seen are using maxed out gear yet seem to play the game like it's the first time and they're in a room full of smoke and can't see the screen.

I'm seeing people with 9999 green tanks, fully loaded to the max, who can't hit a barn door.  There are so many of them, it's a bit worrying on a human level.  You would not trust some of them with a pair of scissors.

It's a lot more than doubled. 20 mil crystals is not nearly enough to fully max out an account.

Before Legend ranks: Playable and quite enjoyable, matches were balanced mostly.

After Hitting Legend: Haven't had really any fun playing, no matter the augment or turret; while you're dealing very small damage on your opponent with a legendary augment because the enemy has  Excelsior and Defender and Armadillo, that same enemy is melting or one shooting you with some specific turret/augment. So most of the matches have 5 players like those. Are you seeing an isida vampire with defender and excelsior on a hovering hull coming at you from the other side of the map? Well you're dead, you shoot at him multiple times and won't kill him, he gets close to you and begins to heal. Did a Scorpion with tornado see you? Ahh if you're not behind some cover then it is over, the countless rockets with splash damage will very likely kill you. Striker enemy is aiming at you? prepare to die before you can blink. Railgun excalibur? I don't even need to explain.

 

It really takes a lot of effort to make TO go from a fun and enjoyable game which you recommend to your school friends to some boring tasteless "game". Btw to fix all the problems you need to nerf magnum even more, buff tesla, buff scorpion, buff all emp augments, buff stellarator, buff excalibur, buff all striker augments, make isida vampire heal 15k hp per hit, buff hammer and give all augments at least 15 bullets, make Excelsior give 300% extra health, make defender give a bonus of 500% armor, nerf twins, nerf ricochet, nerf smoky, nerf magnum again, nerf the not yet released Tsunami turret as well, nerf firebird, buff freeze damage (it is too weak trust), make gauss status augments apply to all enemies on the map, make crusader and all hovering hulls better. To finish the fix for the game, make Armadillo cost 3 billion crystals to max, make new features similar to Trophies where you need 5 million reputation for something that is weaker than most other things.

Why are people sabotaging the game?

There are so many of them.  You report them and they dont get removed. I see the report completed text in yellow and the problem persists.
