Patch Update #803 - Released 27th June 2025

 

List of changes:

  • A new augment for Shaft has been added to Epic Containers — “Stellarator”

    • (Note) Sniper shots always deal maximum damage.
      After entering the sniping mode, the faster you shoot, the higher the average damage per minute is.

  • The following augments were added to Common and Epic Containers

    • Thunder’s “Camper”

    • Dictator’s “Grenadier”

  • The following skins were added to Legendary Containers:

    • Hornet DK

    • Ares DK

    • Tesla DK

    • Scorpion DK

    • Freeze DK

    • Striker XT (HD)

  • Legendary augments for a turret/hull can now drop from Containers only after getting AT LEAST ONE of the rare augments for the corresponding turret/hull

  • “Phoenix” augments

    • Added an increase of regular damage by +15%;

    • Added an increase of critical damage by +15%; 

    • Removed the reload time decrease;

  • Isida

    • Critical hit chance increase was changed from +5% to +3%

    • “Nanomass reactor” augment

      • No longer consumes energy when attacking;

    • “Shock Nanobot Injection”

      • Energy consumption during healing decrease was changed from -50% to -90%;

      • Normal healing rate decrease was changed from -50% to -90%;

    • “Vampire nanobots”

      • Removed the fixed value of Energy consumption when attacking

      • Added an increase of Energy consumption when attacking is enabled without any target by +200%

    • “Sustainable Nanobots”

      • Removed the fixed value of Energy consumption when attacking

      • Added an increase of Energy consumption when attacking is enabled without any target by +200%

  • Siege (SGE) mode

    • Time to capture a point was increased from 12.5 to 25 seconds

    • Time to select a new point was increased from 12.5 to 17 seconds

    • The number of reputation points for capturing a point was increased from 30 to 50

    • The number of team points required to win was decreased from 8 to 5

  • The “Madness 2” map was added to the pool of PRO battle maps

    • (Note) This is a version of the “Madness” map with the platform below

List of fixes:

  • Fixed the bug that caused a shadow of “MAX” badge in the list of Garage equipment to be slightly shifted

what does this mean? no energy consumtion at all or something else?

what does "higher the average damage per minute" mean? It's a bit unclear what the mechanic here is.

It means that you don't have to stay in sniper mode for longer than 1s to deal like 7000 damage. You're pretty much an instant kill machine. This augment is simply the old Phoenix Shaft, Good thing they said they'd never sell them, good trick opex, good trick.

Wow! Love this update! I really missed the OG Madness map... Glad that it's back in the game ?

I am not sure if I understand it well but if its unlimited energy for attack for vampire and sustainable then I think its good change.

Good decision, but what use is now for support nanobots? With nanomass I can easily gain all energy for healing back when I kill someone and I dont have reduced dmg by 50 %. So imo support nanobots should have back healing rate +100 % as it was before. (200 HP per tick /400 HP with DD)

 Weird change, I would understand it if there was actually some assist points for providing +25 % dmg when your ally kills enemy with boosted dmg. but now healing with this augment is discouraged, there is almost no benefit for Isida. 

 

Over all good changes, still needs some tuning. Would like to suggest some changes for Support Nanobots and Broadband radiators.

 Support Nanobots

-30 % dmg reduction  (its now -50 % ) 

+100 % healing rate. 

Broadband radiators 

range penalty -> removed

Cone angle boost  +75 % (its now +125 % )

Still weaker than excelsior augment. How can this motivate players to get phoenix augment if it's even weaker than crystals augments @Opex-Rah

Huh? This is just a complete reversal of the previous change. Was this some kind of experiment?

It means that in a certain period of time you deal more damage. Since the augment instantly reaches max damage in sniping mode, any time spent in sniping mode is a waste of time you could spend firing or reloading, so if you fire instantly, you deal more damage in the same time then if you stay in sniping mode. It is different from any other Shaft augment since it's the only one where you don't need to stay in scope at all - you benefit from firing immediately.

Then what's the purpose here? Also, with all due respect, in the vlog 379, you said pheonix augments will never be sold, what changed, why breaking your promise?

It only took a few years to bring it back lol 
But I actually like how old maps now returning its something I really like to see. What would be even better is bring some new maps to MM. 
How hilarious it would to bring Madness 2 into MM for just a limited time. You know just for fun ? and It would be like extremely rare to get that map. I would really like these fun experiments and also it would be cool for content.

Well, old shaft phoenix feature had the ''dealing full damage no matter how much you're aiming'', which is the case for the new shaft augment. For old striker phoenix, the aiming time is reduced by 50% however it has increased reload time by 50% after salvo + remote explosive rocket feature, which is also the case for the new striker augment. Finally, for hammer, its feature is only 1 shot in the magazine with very fast reload time, which is also the case for the new hammer augment. Where's the difference? This is old phoenix augments sold behind so called new augments. With all due respect, phoenix augments have lost their value of being unique, despite being a bit weak before, now it's even worse than crystals augments.

The difference is that he is not selling the "Phoenix" augment, i.e the augment that you obtain after getting 5,000,000 reputation points.

 

For all you or I would have known, he could have changed Hammer Phoenix from 1 shot in the clip with boosted clip reload and increased pellet count/cone angle to 4 shots in the clip with 2 seconds of clip reload with higher pellet damage and lower target pellet limit a year ago.

Or changed Scorpion Phoenix from what it was before to having 6 missiles in the salvo (with the damage of 12) with fast speed and high homing while giving the arcade shot more damage with slower reload instead. 

Or lets say Destroyer and Nemesis weren't released. The first person to get both Magnum and Gauss Phoenix would then see Destroyer and Nemesis parameters on it. You wouldn't have known that. Because they're augments that can be fiddled with. "Unique settings for the turret" can be pretty much any reasonable combination of paramater changes.
