By your logic, if Thunder is superior to Gauss but it could do with a buff, then Gauss should be buffed since it's underpowered? Removing the broken ability to kill some poor player that was correctly hiding 15 meters away from the desired Target has made the Turret in need of a buff? A player should not be punished if he is doing the right thing (in this case using cover), it's just a dumb game mechanic that should have never been introduced. Yes Thunder does have splash, but it is nowhere near Gauss splash in sniper shot. You actually have to use it by shooting obstacles or by hitting the ground next to the target. All Gauss had to to was holding the fire button down and it got rewarded with 2-3 kills. Absolutely braindead.

Ah yes, removing the fair and balanced ability to kill 3-4 tanks with one shot has made the most disgusting Turret in the game very bad. Interesting. Go in the Test Server, try out Thunder and then we'll talk.

For a game that is struggling to stay alive, it sure seems wise to release yet another controversial update, made ONLY to generate more revenue in the future.

If anyone is interested. I have tested extensively Smoky and Railgun with my buddy @JustBlackWolf today and from what I have seen: Smoky seems to have the same exact crit base chance as it normally has. The patch notes mention an increase by upgrade up to 50% at MK7+, but this is either not implemented in the TS or is not working properly. Railgun has a true 50% crit chance mechanic. You can crit multiple times in a row. LCR is Okay, Scout is extremely broken, Round Stabilization is too good for only 96k cry (+33% flat dmg) and Round Destabilization is full meme potential and it will destroy JUGG mode. It deals either 100dmg or something like 6-10k depending on upgrades and drones equipped. Yes, there is no in-between. it will be useless in a real battle and it Jugg it will be insane with Viking Overdrive.

The concept of this is actually good, and I agree with you, but the problem is the execution of the update. Either one of these options is good: 50% Crit chance with applied status effect and standard damage; 15-20% Crit chance with applied status effect and increased damage. But we currently have (for Railgun) 50% Crit chance with applied status effect AND increased damage (1600) that ignores any protection. This is insane and not viable, and I am afraid that every Turret will be changed just like Railgun. They have 10% crit chance and standard damage only because no augments for them are available yet.

Do I really need to? "OMG CRITICAL DAMAGE 9000?!?!?? " it's enough. By the way, as I already said, those were clearly placeholder stats. Someone wanting to create a serious and informative video would have waited for today's Update, reading the patch notes and analyzing the situation. But we all know that fishing for views is easy, and after 10 years this has become nothing more then a mobile game for children, so I can't blame that content creator too much.

That is a clickbait video for kids. Days ago, the test server had 9000dmg crits for all Turrets as a placeholder.

Because if you guys would read the Patch Notes You would see that Railgun has a 50% chance to Crit. Basically, only Smoky and Railgun have fleshed out Critical Damages, all the other Turrets have the placeholder default damage. Don't fool yourselves, the Crit Damages will NOT be the same as the standard damage in the future.

At this point we need at least two Hull augment slots. How are we supposed to play in, let's say, Lost Temple... when we have: Vulcan IB+HI; Shock Freeze, AP effect, Stun effect, EMP effect and god knows what other insane things are you planning? We can only defend ourselves against ONE thing at a time.

IF the Crit Damages are balanced then I'm not against the update. I actually prefer that all status effects (like the ones on Railgun) are applied only on critical hits. But we'll see if that's the case. also: Hammer: Enemies receive the same critical damage - it does not depend on how many bullets hit the target. If the Turret can Crit for full damage (1k+) from just one pellet hitting a target, than it's a indirect buff to Hammer.

I know that very well. And it's a good thing that Duplet got nerfed to the ground. Now it can't burst down tanks in 2 shots anymore and it has an insane spread at distance. By the way, Hammer is always been either too good or too bad. It looks like it's hard to balance it correctly. interestingly, that was also the case in TX. Edit: sorry, I forgot that you can't discuss here, I'll stop with the OT right now.

After the latest buff it seems like Hammer is back in the meta. I am using it with Dragon's Breath atm, but I'll try HCAC soon enough. (Duplet is still trash tho, don't use it)

I agree, they are introducing crit damage because they want all turrets to have status effect augments, in their current state some of them can't have them. (like Twins) By introducing crit damage, they can put those augments to every single turret (and sell them for.. money yeah you guessed it)

I hope you are right. In the past, changes in the Test Server where a preview of a feature. As I said before, it is probably a placeholder, but I can only expect the worst from the Devs.

They must be testing with it still. For now, every turret has 9000dmg crit, and some turrets can increase it up to 11k. It happens extremely frequently and Vulcan is insta-kill. (yes, I mean instakill, the moment you touch an enemy a crit happens and it dies) So all of that must still be a placeholder for final stats. That said, I am extremely worried about this.

Another battle ruined thanks to an Hopper/Crisis player. He was terrible so we managed to cap 2 flags even with a player less.. but still, lost in the end.

Well that might be true actually. In my case, in the old days I used to bully poor Master Sergeants w/ M0 equipment with my Rico M3. (yes, I had no honor, I was young and stupid)
