Valid I'm sure I've seen this suggested before. We have a similar idea for hosting servers, but that serves a different purpose. I also know multiple other games which have this as a feature, so the suggestion is definitely realistic and fitting for Tanki.

I feel like Highways is just one of those maps that should have never been added to MM. It's interesting, but it was specifically designed to be a sniper map, and its layout is quite extreme and unique. Other maps have a bit of everything - some hills, some houses, some bridges, some cover, but Highways is like two sides with a bunch camping balconies connected with the Valley of Despair below and Bridges of Death above. It's interesting, but much more fitting for stuff like custom format battles and special events (rank-ups, parades, etc.). Kind of like Monte Carlo or Madness, albeit much less extreme. Highways has undergone something like 3 or 4 edits since it was added to MM, and by now the changes are so great that they might as well make a brand new map with similar features and leave the original Highways as a PRO-only map. But I suppose the current design is decent. -

If you want to provide feedback for a recent change, this is the place to do it. We do not allow separate topics to be made with comments/complaints about every little change within one big update. 1. MM maps have to be suitable for all turrets and all hulls, meaning that there can't be too many open spaces (close range turrets would struggle) and there can't be long distances (slow hulls would never get anywhere). Highways was too tall and didn't provide enough cover. Going across the bridge to attack was always suicidal, while driving up and down all the ramps took so long that your supplies run out by the time you get to the enemy base. This is why the height was lowered and more cover was added. 2. True, but the map is still available if you want to organise a private match, or a photoshoot/rank-up, etc. 3. Because players are just casual people, most of whom have zero experience designing maps and gameplay for a game like Tanki. You may think that players know what they want, but the reality is that if players could run the game by popular vote, it would turn into a disaster. This is not just a case for Tanki, but business in general - you can't just let the public make all decisions regarding development. Highways was always a very problematic map that many players complained about. You may not like these changes, but in fact I'm pretty sure the majority will prefer the new version. -

Topic merged The map was changed in order to better fit the Matchmaking gameplay. If you prefer older versions, the non-MM version is still available to play via PRO battles. -

I heard that they will contain rewards from contests, so that these rewards will be collected like missions, rather than added straight onto user accounts. Basically this idea.

Topic merged I disagree about Magnums being everywhere. I play on the same ranks as you, and I see maybe 2-4 Magnumsper battle. It's quite a lot, and they're definitely more popular than, say, Vulcans, but it really depends on the map. In fact, I don't even use Magnum protection that often, since other turrets are more dangerous even if there are lots of Magnums in the battle. I myself stopped using Magnum a while ago and only use it occasionally these days. Yes, the reload time combined with damage results in massive DPS, but don't forget that it's not that easy to accurately hit targets with Magnum, which is what makes the DPS a bit more balanced. Although I do agree that mines should be easier to see.

As far as I know, the functionality for main missions is already planned (and therefore decided), but just hasn't been implemented yet.

I create discussions when we get a lot of ideas with the same theme. In case of this topic, we kept getting separate topics with suggestions to add things to container rewards, and these topics didn't generate any discussion while taking up space in the section. When I (or other helpers) post a separate idea, it's subjected to the same judgement as other ideas, and there have been multiple cases where mine or other helpers' ideas get declined.

My post was a detailed explanation of drone mechanics and why they were made to work the way they do. People liked it because they agree and understand it, not because they actually like how drones work. Sorry, I rushed with the merge and didn't have time to change it. Your topic has been split again and you can find it here. The idea is still similar though, because it would help make the drone easier to use by activating it only when it would actually be useful, as opposed to activating whenever the conditions are met (i.e. tank dies and the drone is ready). This makes it unlikely to be implemented, since it would make the drone more effective, affecting game balance.

Using this drone at anything less than 15/20 steps is just an insane waste of batteries. 300 crystals a minute for 1% extra damage and armour? No thanks. As for full MU - it's a decent bonus, but I'd much rather have a more interesting ability, like that of Booster, Lifeguard or Sprinter.
