  1. Warning points are issued for minor violations on the forum. If you are given too many warning points for the same type of violation (e.g. provocation), then the next violation like that will result in a ban.
  2. The battle creation menu is pretty straightforward and user-friendly. This is mostly to save time by not having to select the same settings every time you want to make your favourite battle format. But this idea is valid (which is why it's not declined), so I don't see why you're arguing :D
  3. Under review I don't see the point. It doesn't take that much effort to select the settings again. Maybe 20 or 30 seconds at most.
  4. Topic merged So you say there's an imbalance of tanks, but you suggest to add yet another medium hull, which will result in 2 lights, 4 mediums and 2 heavies. I'll be honest - I'm not seeing any balance improvement here.
  5. I legit thought for some time that he died in an accident or something, but he did briefly appear in the game a year later, so I think he just got bored or real life matters took away his free time.
  6. This is to make DM more fun. Or, alternatively, it could be a second type of TDM. So what? It's already possible to tie for first, so what's the problem with it happening more often? It's not like there's special rewards for first place. It would be like clans. One player can only be in one alliance at one time. If bob sends an alliance request to jose, then jose would first have to leave his current alliance and join bob's one.
  7. No, the leader left the game (quite suddenly with no warning) 2 years ago and the club was closed due to the leader's inactivity 2 weeks later. To be fair, we didn't even play a single battle in the last year of the club's existence, so it wasn't that big of a blow to our little group. My other club still exists, in theory. But most members rarely play Tanki and moved on to other games instead.

    Individual Battle Scores

Score can be increased using a number of ways, but mostly by destroying enemy tanks. In DM mode, score isn't shown and instead the main progress counter is kills. The player with most kills wins. However, you still get experience added to your total (the green bar on top) from the tanks you kill - 10 EXP per kill. In TDM mode you get score for either killing, or assisting in killing an enemy tank. If you kill an enemy on your own, you get 10 score. If you kill an enemy together with your teammate(s), then you will get 15 points divided between you based on the % of damage each of you dealt. This means that you can potentially get more points, because if you deal 99% of the damage to an enemy and someone else finishes them off with one hit, then you can get 14 points for that kill. In CP you increase your score by capturing points. The less teammates there are on a point with you, the more score you get for every point you take. Plus, there are also 10 points per kill or 15 shared if multiple players shot and killed the same tank, same as in TDM. In CTF there is also experience for actions with the flag. You get points for capturing, as well as returning, plus if you kill the player that was holding your flag, you get double points for that kill (20 by default and potentially more with help of a teammate). The most points goes for flag capturing - if you capture a flag on your own from enemy base to your own base, you get the amount of points that's the same as destroying every enemy tank once, or number of enemies x10. So if there are 7 enemy players, you get 70 exp for capturing a flag. And again, you get score for kills, same as in TDM and CP. You can also increase your score by healing teammates, only when you play with Isida. So you were mistaken - your score does not increase faster when you die a lot. You also don't get a higher reward if you have very few deaths in a battle. What most likely happened in that Chernobyl TDM game is that you were finishing off very damaged players and not getting that much score for that, while the player in first place didn't get many kills, but was dealing a lot of damage. Also note that there is a -5 penalty to your score for every time you self-destruct.

★ Tanki Online Wiki Hub ★

https://en.tankiwiki.com/Responsibilities_of_administration_and_administration%27s_helpers For chat (and maybe forum) mods you should change the explanation to say that mods' primary responsibility is to help players and answer questions, while rule enforcement is secondary. https://en.tankiwiki.com/Beginner%27s_Guide#How_to_use_supplies_efficiently In the section about supplies near the bottom (and anywhere else in the wiki), I'd avoid using the word "drugging", as well as "drugs", "drugger", etc. when talking about supplies. Might want to check that whole page. It could use an update to add relevant info.

Sorry, but it's just not impressive enough for a record.

Umm, "lowest FPS/Ping ratio"? :D Not really though. 1 FPS and 999 ping is not that hard to recreate. I had it myself a few times when I used a really bad PC with max settings and moved as far away as possible from the wi-fi router.

    Weather mode

Another problem is that rain serves no benefit to the gameplay and will eventually become annoying no matter how good the effect is. Just look at night mode: when it was added everyone was going crazy over it, but after a few days the only situation where it's being used is for rank-up parties and effective videos for contests, while I haven't seen a single normal night mode battle for over a year. Same would happen with rain - it would be fun to check it out for 5 minutes, but after that it becomes a nuisance.

    Weather mode

Topic merged But why? A bunch of visual effects for no reason other than to make the game look a bit more pretty. I don't know about others, but to me Tanki was never about good graphics or visuals and any kind of weather effect is unnecessary. Not to mention that rain in particular requires a LOT of effort to execute properly, otherwise it's just obnoxious and annoying, as seen in many games where it was done badly with poor sound effects.
  16. That seems like a logical statement. But I can't really say any more than that since I don't have any data to support or oppose this, so I won't comment anything else.
  17. Actually I was wrong about the supplies. The Overdrive does not use any of your own supplies, not even mines. So not having enough supplies would not stop one from activating it. However, some players may still think that it uses your supplies, so if they don't have a lot of them, they may want to intentionally not use the overdrive so that it doesn't waste their supplies. So that false assumption may be the reason why some don't use it.
  18. Well, if you think mults and sabotage are the main reason for decline, then I'm skeptical. Those two things have always been around and didn't prevent Tanki from getting to such a high point (even before the kick system was introduced). As for Kick2, then you know well that devs have seen and read that exact topic, so your point did come across. Once the matchmaking system is out, systematic sabotage (throwing your alt into the enemy team) will apparently be eradicated, while a kick system might be added to custom battles, where mults will still be a thing. So if that's the case, then the game will thrive again after the matchmaking system is out?
  19. Guys, what do you think about this: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Tanki%20Online,World%20of%20Tanks http://tnkscr.net/0grica.png This is a comparison of search popularity between Tanki and that famous "other tank game" that everyone compares Tanki with. It has always been rumoured by Tanki haters that this game has much better developers, better feedback processing and better updates. So if that's the case, then how would you explain the strikingly similar (in fact, nearly identical) popularity patterns that both games have been following for the past 3 years, if, according to the haters, Tanki has been pumping out such terrible updates throughout those years? How do you explain it other than with the theory of more relevant and more appealing games stealing away the player base from older MMOs?
  20. Yes, it hurt the game's economy as players were getting easy rewards with very little effort. It also wasn't fair to the honest players who didn't know about the PRO battles mission exploits and struggled to complete them fairly in normal battles. It's not greed, the correct term is "For-profit business", which Tanki Online is. Anyway, won't argue with that anymore.
  21. I only count around 400 individual users replying in the topic that announced removal of missions from PRO. And yes, if someone doesn't complain anywhere, then they are probably fine with the update, right? I don't see what else to think here. By the way, I'm not saying that players should have liked and enjoyed that update, since it was a pretty big inconvenience to all, but like I said many times before - it was a necessary change because missions were not being treated as they're supposed to. It was bad, but it wasn't "OMG THE GAME IS RUINED I QUIT!!!" kind of bad. The way I like to think of it is that before that update missions could be exploited, therefore players should have been enjoying the privilege of easy missions while it was there, instead of complaining when it got fixed.
  22. 3-4 months is probably an overestimate. I think in 2 weeks there will be very few players who don't use it. And don't forget about the players who don't have any supplies, since I think you need at least 1 of each supply to be able to use the overdrive (not sure though).
