Topic merged Servers don't get added via a game update. They are bought and installed. Getting new servers is a lot more expensive than you think, so it will take a long time before the current servers get another upgrade.

You said it yourself - that stuff doesn't become available until later ranks. And extra content is good for any game, as it gives players more to explore and encourages them to spend more time in the game. I think that as long as the controls and the interface are simple, devs can still keep adding new features.

Sounds good, although I can see how that would get very annoying very fast even if you have as few as 10 active friends. And the average player probably has over 100.

That's assuming that you plan to play the game for a long time. MUs are a long-term investment and it will take a while for them to pay off. It's much better to buy supplies and be able to double your power most of the time if you don't plan on spending years upgrading your equipment.

You can definitely play without MUs and still win, provided that you have superior skill. But MUs do give quite a significant improvement overall, so it's worth investing into them, especially at M4. I would say that the average free player should get their M0 and M1 equipment to no more than 15 steps each, M2 to 20-25, while M3 all the way to 50. Although I would rather have a selection of different M3 turrets and hulls to choose from than a single M4 turret+hull combo that I have to always play with. I have to say though, one of the primary reasons for adding MUs was definitely to get players to spend more money on the game, as MUs simply reduce balance between buyers and free players and don't even add anything interesting to the game.

We don't really know why this happens. Some nicknames are unavailable by default, like "admin", even though they may not be registered as players. But all normal nicknames should all be either taken or available.

Impossible. Although you can prevent it from rotating by using Vulcan and shooting it constantly while you film. That way the Vulcan will face in the same direction due to the gyroscope and hence the camera will face the same direction as well.

I don't think it's much worse. Even better actually, since it's quite easy to get crystals and supplies for a free player now, while buyers don't get THAT much of an advantage. Although being able to have an M3 turret and hull at lieutenant ranks (full MU M2) is very OP and pretty close to the situation back in 2011.

It always was pay2win. Back in 2011 you could buy thousands of supplies, top-tier protection, M3 equipment at Warrant Officer 5, and go dominate every single battle with free players, who are only just starting to get M2s and barely managed to save up 100 of each supply. If you exclude MUs and the old kits, the situation is much better now.
