I love this idea! Suggested it myself a few years ago, but we'll see if developers end up adding something like that. Funny thing is, the "Shock" turret would fit perfectly into the equipment "generations" pattern that was in the game until 2012. Back then the guns came in pairs, with one unlocking early and another unlocking later, being an upgraded version of the previous gun. Thunder was an upgrade from Smoky Freeze was an upgrade from Firebird Ricochet - Twins Shaft - Railgun Only Isida didn't have a pair, so the gun you suggest would have been a perfect candidate for that position, but developers decided to add Hammer and Vulcan instead, not to mention that they completely removed the whole pairing system before that. Not that it was a bad thing...

That's what happens when Gold boxes get "backed up". Basically on that map all of the Gold box locations were occupied, but the players continued to kill each other and raise the fund. As the fund was going up, a few more Gold box drop events were triggered by the server, but since there was no space to drop the gold, the server "remembered" the fact that there is an undropped gold waiting for a free spot, so whenever a Gold box is picked up, a space opens up and is instantly taken by another Gold that was in the queue.

Well, maybe a player needs to meet a whole bunch of requirements before they can qualify for the paint? Such as: Register in 2010 or earlier Never leave the game for more than 3 months Have a K/D ratio higher than a certain value Have over 10 million experience ... and maybe something else too I think that if someone has been so dedicated to the game that they fulfill all of the requirements, they deserve to get the paint, since doing all that might actually be at least as difficult as getting Veteran via eSports. After all, a "veteran" is someone who spent a long time at war, so old active players with a lot of experience do fall under that description.

I'm sure they have some tools that would let them filter the ratings list to select all players with 10M+ XP, who have been playing for over 5 years and are also active. And that method would definitely be faster than sending emails and processing replies.

There are only a handful of chat moderators and they can't possibly monitor every single server at once. If you go on a server and there are messages in the chat that offend you, you can take a screenshot and report in the Chat violations section. But mods never simply ignore violators when they encounter them in chat, so if a mod comes online and sees a mess in the chat, appropriate punishments will always be issued promptly. You are wrong here in assuming that the same people who work in the chat also work on the forum. The forum moderators' group is different and has nothing to do with the chat, while the chat group has nothing to do with the forum. If you are confused about which avatars belong to which helpers, please check out this page. As for the chat moderators who process reports in the violations section - that task is part of their duty and they can't let the reports get backed up. So the fact that mods have to spend a lot of time on the forum doing reports is because of the players making too many reports and not much can be done about that.

Valid [pnts] It's a good idea, but I disagree with the 5 million threshold. If you look at the list on leprotanki.zhuka.ru you'll see that hundreds of players already surpassed the 5 million point. And those are just the ones that registered on that website - there are plenty more in the game. I'd say if the Veteran paint is given out for XP, then the most sensible limit would be 10 million. Remember that the Veteran paint has 20% protection from all turrets, so those with only 5M experience don't really deserve it and it would lose its value if it were to be given out to hundreds of players.

This depends on the rate of fund growth in those maps. People say that Polygon has the most gold boxes, but the only reason that's the case is because the map is quite open and compact, with a lot of people fighting in a small area, especially when the game is CP mode. As a result of that, the fund increases very quickly due to players dying very often (crystals get added to the fund when a player gets killed), and the more crystals get added to the fund - the higher the chance of a gold dropping. But otherwise, the probability of a gold dropping is 1/10000 on all maps, unless it's a special event map like the 2015 Halloween one. Never. Developers only said that M2 XTs might be added.

M3 is very powerful on the gold star ranks (Brig up to General), but then gets very weak compared to other M3 guns. So in a PRO battle without MUs for generalissimos an M3 Thunder will lose to most other M3 guns. M4 is good though, but it does have a lot of popular protection paints that make it weaker.
