Reporting is the right thing to do. When you say you get banned for reporting offending comments, are you sure that you only reported the messages, or did you also try responding back with insults? When you report a message, chat moderators get the full chat chat logs and every violator gets banned, regardless of who incited the conflict. If you believe that a chat ban wasn't justified, you can appeal via this form. What kind of important game matches are you talking about? eSports? Battle moderators have the power to remove players from matches, but it shouldn't happen. If you have a concern, you can contact @Yelevia forum PM. It's possible that battle moderators were busy at the time. You can record such violations and post on the forum for review, but reporting is the main way to deal with such situations.

Big. Now just need to get rid of the muscle memory of instantly relaunching the client whenever damage breaks ?

Running out of event ideas, huh? ? Seems like yet another event that acts interesting and complex, but boils down to either a lot of grinding or spending premium currency. Not my thing, One thing caught my attention though. Achievements are being reworked?
-
Huh? This is just a complete reversal of the previous change. Was this some kind of experiment?

I've been using the mobile app with no issues, and so have many other people. Pretty sure it's a problem on your end.

I just got to the 300 mines mission and, honestly, screw that garbage. Even with equipping Hyperion and focusing on spamming mines non-stop, it still takes a minimum of 75 minutes of gameplay to complete the mission. Playing a little bit every day the way I'd normally play? It would probably take a month since I don't use mines much. That mission is so lame.
-
That's lame

You're not wrong, but at the same time it's annoying when I complete all other event missions in 2-3 days, and there's one last mission left (use RKs) which is <50% completed. Like, sure - I'll finish it eventually just by playing, but it's still bugging me.

This is a great example of how it's impossible to release updates that make everyone happy, because while you're complaining that the indicator isn't visible enough, there's a whole other group of players complaining that the indicator shouldn't be there at all, because it lowers the skill level for using Striker. No matter what happens, someone will be upset.

Even so, some of the missions are completely unbalanced. I play normally and rush into the middle of a battle, and even so it took me ages to complete the 300 repair kit mission. Those requirements need to be more aligned with the other missions.
-
Only after being kicked? What about leaving a battle manually?

I don't see what gives you the right to speak for everyone else. I also said that I don't support these changes in my previous message, but you conveniently chose to ignore that.

The main issue is that the current supply system with most drones is just a default tax on gameplay. Want to compete? Use your consumables in every battle. For a long time it was an important revenue source for the game, but now you get so many supplies from various rewards that they may as well be infinite. But what happens in battle is that you spawn, immediately press 2-3-4 in whatever order, and only then (after 10 seconds) you can go battle for 30 seconds until your supplies go on cooldown again. It's a game mechanic that requires no skill and very little strategy. Even repair kit is quite "dumb", where it's mostly just a requirement to use it in the middle of a fight so that you get an extra 1000 hp. Mine and grenade are different in a sense that there's at least some skill involved in using them. The Oracle approach aims to fix this by: Increasing the importance of the choice of which supply you're activating. Increasing the value of the bonus from each supply Making supply boxes much more important Raising the overall skill bar for the game I think it's a decent approach. Let's see where it brings us.
-
Idk man, I don't play on low ranks and I don't read general chat. I also don't support this approach to changing supply mechanics. But on the other hand, I do understand the reasoning behind it and I know that this is what the devs have been working towards for a while now.
-
There are planned changes to the supplies system, and Oracle is the first step. If I recall correctly, lead game designer Opex-Rah already said that the Oracle drone is showing great results for player retention among actual newcomers, and the only complaints they get are from old players creating new accounts. Brutus is meant to be an upgraded version of Oracle, so it won't be the default anymore.

Holy text wall... Ok yeah, you should probably continue using it for that ? Well, that just sounds like you generally want better balanced battles. For that, I have a few things to note: The basic Matchmaking battles in Tanki Online will never be truly balanced and non-P2W. The game is too deep into the P2W weeds to suddenly shift to completely fair game mechanics. You already have the battle list available, where people often create fair and balanced battles without P2W aspects. Feel free to join a battle or create your own. Matchmaking sometimes has fair game modes for a limited time. There's Team Arms Race going on right now, which doesn't have any of the P2W features. Tanki Classic is being developed right now, and it will hopefully have a much more fair system compared to Tanki Online. I'm not sure if cosmetic-only rewards like badges or medals will be sufficient. I suspect that most players will quickly lose interest if playing battles no longer brings in currencly for equipment upgrades.
-
So what are you actually proposing? What's the gameplay in this mode? This LLM-generated text is just a whole bunch of rambling that carries no useful information.

That skin is just all-around weird. I never liked how it looked even when it first came out, but now with everyone using HD skins it looks extremely out of place. I don't expect them to remove it or anything, but it being the only "legacy" DC skin while also having an HD Demonic version at the same time is really triggering me...

valid Shaft needs a better Firing Sound / Where’s the Power?
Maf replied to Mr.Blitz in Ideas and Suggestions
I'd like to point out that the topic was marked valid, but I agree that mocking decent ideas isn't the right approach. I'm equally surpsised at people who play without game audio, since it carries a lot of useful information. Though, if Nikman only hears music while playing, that definitely explains his... uhh... questionable skill level -
Just because you can't understand it, doesn't make it "utter nonsense". EXP is part of the equation, and it works like this: Except it's probably possible to progress through the ranks without spending money while still keeping up with upgrades for one or two sets of equipment. You're only forced to spend cash if you want to gain an advantage by having more equipment options and the highest possible upgrades. Honestly, I don't see what there is to be confused about. The game economy is designed around players logging in and playing the game. A user having dozens of old accounts sitting idle and waiting for passive rewards (or collecting gold boxes without gaining experience) is NOT how it's meant to work, so people doing this are using an exploit. Adding EXP to crystal boxes, gold boxes, missions, and gifts is a way to make that exploit less effective.

Depends heavily on the team equipment loadouts. Pretty sure I've had multiple games where the attacking team wins on Molotov.
-
Back in MY day, it was considered a noob move to shoot flipped players since if you leave them to SD, it takes them longer to respawn, so you get a slight advantage for a few seconds while they're a player down. I remember when the SD timer was a whole 10 seconds, and respawning took another 10 seconds...

Listening to feedback and implementing changes exactly as player suggest are two very different things. @Opex-Rah, the lead game developer, discussed this in a lot of detail on the Russian forum. Basically what happens is that players will get into long discussions on the forum, making detailed analyses of equipment stats and game balance changes, and they will confidently proclaim something like "Railgun is extremely weak and needs to be buffed!". But what happens in-game is the complete opposite - Railgun is still the most popular turret, people are very good with it despite the low stats, and everyone is using Railgun protection modules because Railgun is still the most feared gun of all. So the takeaway is that anything said on the forum needs to be taken with a massive grain of salt, and the discussions here, despite appearing reasonable and logical, do not represent the reality of what happens in actual battles. AI has become a buzzword to a point where the term has become annoyingly misused in many contexts. Tanki Online bots are not AI in the sense of generating new content. They're just non-player entities programmed with scripted logic to imitate player actions, but they don't do anything more advanced like using neural networks to learn from player actions. They serve their purpose and are "good enough". Putting any more development into them is not worth the investment.
-
They actually wanted to do that, but it was too complicated to implement, weirdly enough.
