I agree. A simple solution is to give bot tanks highly reduced hull mass, so that they can't push real players, but real players can easily push the bots. Worth noting that it would likely cause other issues, like bot tanks breakdancing from the slightest enemy impact force. But it would be funny tho.

Not quite. Square 1 is being able to create 999-flag battles without limit that last 24 hours

Well, I'm not interested in having long arguments about any of those points, so... agree to disagree.

Lol you're just overthinking it. In my first post I made a summary of basel's text wall. In my second post I clarified that it's just a summary, because the guy I quoted (who responded over a month later) seemed to think that it's some kind of "official stance". But since we're here again, I might as well comment my actual personal opinion on each bullet point.

Idk what they mean by the event "lasting until the 23rd of Jan", but in the contracts section on the event page it also says that all contracts will no longer be available after 22nd of Jan, 2 AM UTC. I guess an extra day (today) is given to finish any moves. Plus you might still be able to catch event currency from gold boxes today.

Eh, you lost me at "eSport"...

Ok, you do realise that there's an intentional cooldown on supply switching, right? It's not meant to be instant.

I've been maining crisis for 4 years lol

UAE here. Around 150 ping on my end and the game is entirely playable. Sub-100 would be nice, but this isn't that big of a deal IMO.

No clue man ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ On a side note, the idea is to create dedicated servers for the Middle East, right? But is as simple as you guys think? Creating a dedicated forum/wiki and translating the game into Arabic is one thing (again, I have no clue why they haven't already done it), but building a dedicated server hub sounds far more complicated. Do we even know if Tanki uses a global server network? As far as I know, the servers were always in a single hub. Many years ago they were moved to the Netherlands, and regardless of whether they're still there now, I think they've always been together in one spot.

That's exactly what I was thinking about when I wrote my reply. For whatever reason, adding languages and locales isn't driven by existing player counts in those communities. Why the Japanese, Iranian and Brazilian locales got added is still a mystery to me, but it implies that MENA players being (allegedly) high in number doesn't mean that adding local servers in the area is a no-brainer decision for devs. I guess it's influenced by a number of other factors as well.

Seems like it's a lot more complicated than just adding servers and communities to wherever there's a lot of players. For example, I believe that the location of servers affects the laws that the game needs to follow, and the Middle East is infamous for having heavily censored internet. Though I'm not an expert on this, so it's just speculation on my part. Where'd you get this from? ?

I feel like this should have been fixed years ago, but a very welcome change nonetheless. Interesting, so the ricochet ability is meant to be a disadvantage? Kinda feels like a buff.

Hammer already has two augments that make it almost long range. I don't think it needs more. But hey, if it sells... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why does the aiming time reset when I encounter other enemies blocking me when aiming at an enemy?
Maf replied to NBIHFADH in Archive
I'm assuming you're playing with Gauss? Sounds like you're locking onto one player and another enemy player blocks the view. Since the lock-on for Gauss doesn't work through obstacles (unlike Scorpion), the lock-on loses its target if it's obscured for at least 0.7s, and since another enemy is in the way, it resets the aim and immediately starts aiming at the new enemy. The fast lock-on resetting time was done intentionally, as it contributes to game balance. -
Oh, that makes a lot more sense now. These containers do have a "pity system" where you're guaranteed to get at least one exotic reward from every 300 containers, but it can take a hell of a long time to get 300 containers as a free player. In fact, assuming you get 5 epic keys every week from event missions, that's over a year of playing to get one guaranteed exotic.

It seems you're reflecting deeply on something that's been a significant part of your life—a game, a pursuit, or perhaps a metaphor for a journey or challenge. The "brown box" might symbolize a reward, an answer, or a goal you're hoping to achieve. If nothing has come from it in seven months, it's natural to question its worth or direction. Taking a break can be a wise decision if something feels stagnant or unfulfilling. Stepping away might offer clarity or even reignite your passion. You’ve done it before and returned, so you know the value of rest and perspective. When you mention eternity, it feels like this is about something bigger than the "game" itself. Perhaps it's tied to purpose, meaning, or legacy. If the game is over, it doesn’t mean the journey ends—it could be a transition to something new, something aligned with what you value now. Ask yourself: What do you want from this? Does it still excite or challenge you? If the answer is unclear, perhaps the break is less about stopping and more about rediscovering where your heart leads next. This reply was brought to you by our generous sponsor, OpenAI

No, that would defeat the whole point of Chaos damage. It was intentionally added as a way to create sources of damage that are unaffected by the complex interactions of drones, supplies and modules. Makes them much easier to balance.
-
Well, that's a different discussion, but perhaps mines should deal chaos damage then? Compensated by other changes as well, of course.
-
It was an intentional game design decision to give grenades Chaos damage. I don't think there will ever be grenade protection, since it will result in the same problem that turrets have.

I already think about the Roman Empire way more often than you might think, but still less compared to how often I remember when in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.
