    Gameplay Ideas and Suggestions!

I don't think there is need for a new topic to separate gameplay ideas from general ideas... The official "Ideas and Suggestions" topic already exists: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=214823&hl=+ideas&page=1 As for the ideas, I would love to see a new gun that works like isida, but shoots lightning, which damages a tank when in range and if there are many multiple tanks near one another, then the lightning branches onto them too, dealing half the original damage. Also it would be cool to have a rocket gun, which shoots in a ballistic trajectory. An idea for hulls - I think that at the moment they are not original enough - the only real difference is amount of health vs. speed (and different shapes/dimensions). It would be much more interesting if each hull would have a unique ability that would be a serious reason for purchase of that hull. For example: Wasp - 3 second super speed boost every 30 seconds. Hornet - jump boost every 15 seconds Hunter - ability to turn back on its tracks (once per life) Dictator - ability to drive on top and over other tanks easily Viking - ability to move sideways for a few seconds at a time Titan - ability to push through other tanks effortlessly for a few seconds Mammoth - becoming indestructible for 5 seconds (once per life)
  2. The update makes it impossible for organised drugging teams to "rob" a group of random players by outnumbering them with the amount of drugs they have. Now, the only way to rob a battle to get the fund is with powerful full MU m3 equipment and using good skill and organisation, which is good (unless they use mults). Besides, drugging has now changed from a noob power-up to a complex technique that requires skill to use it efficiently.
  3. Erm...so, "Best way to help defend the flag" then? I would suggest NOT leaving the base when the flag is gone. One of the best strategies is to have one player grab the flag, carry it out of the enemy base, forcing all of the enemy team to go after him. That player then dies and the enemy flag gets returned to the enemy base...where three more players are waiting to take the flag. They grab it and simply walk out of the base because all the defenders went to chase the first guy and are now somewhere on the battlefield... If the first guy with the flag captures your flag, then there is a high chance that you will lose 2 in a row because, again, your base was empty. The point is - don't ever leave your base empty and defenceless, because often it results in the flag being effortlessly taken.

    Tanki World Records

No, this is purely for fun and competition. There are no rewards apart from the fact that your name with the record is put on the topic's first page.

    Stealing Frags?

Or it could mean that the enemy is already in pieces and only needs one little hit to die?

    Tanki World Records

Maybe. But that's quite easy to set up if you add everyone on the server. Of the 1000 people on there it's easy to get 22, who are in battles, to accept your friend requests. It's a record, but not impressive enough to be added, IMHO.
  7. particular (comes before blackjack91 :))
  8. That still doesn't make you any better, since you downvote people's pictures. If you like it - press the green button, if you dislike it - ignore it. Don't offend people with a dislike.
  9. Try out all the different hulls and guns at m0 (while they are cheap and easy to buy) and then continue playing with the one gun + hull combo you like most. Always aim to upgrade that combo once the upgrade unlocks. Remember - one M2 M2 tank combo is better than 100 M1 M1 tanks, since you can only use one at a time.

    Stealing Frags?

I'm pretty sure that a "frag" is a mix of two Russian words "vrag" (enemy) and "flag", meaning that the common saying "to get frags" means to get experience point by means of capturing flags or killing enemy tanks. Either that, or it's just a slang term for an enemy or player that has very low health points. Hence, "stealing frags" would mean dealing the final damage to a player when another player did most of the initial damage, so he did the work, but you got the kill and 10 points (doesn't apply to TDM matches). You "stole" the frag because with one or two shots you got all the bonus for destroying a tank, while the other guy did most damage and got nothing.] Answering your question - the best gun for stealing frags is thunder, because you can instantly deal a rather large amount of damage and the shots are quite frequent. That way you can predict when a tank is low in health (e.g. after a rail shot them or they were beaten by freeze/isida/rico/firebird/twins for a few seconds) and shoot them do kill the tank and get all the credit with a single shot. The worst gun is raigun, due to its warm-up before the shot and the fact that it rarely one-shots tanks. Often you deal 90% of damage with one shot and some other guy sees that you shot a tank and finishes them off, stealing your kill, because they know that the tank you shot will most likely be on very low health and east to kill. The warm-up is annoying because often the tank you are aiming at gets killed while your shot is warming up and you end up losing all that potential damage and the frag.
  11. Unfortunately this community (like any community) is far from perfect. The best solution is to organise a group of friends, who share the same interests, and play closed battles together.
  12. The general rule is: don't fight fire with fire. If you enter a format battle and see chaos, instead of starting to shoot as well, either leave, or try to negotiate and work out what is wrong in chat first. If a player enters with the wrong combination (e.g. wasp-smoky) and starts ruining the battle, you won't become a heroic vigilante if you change into mamoth-smoky-savanna to punish him. You will simply be another inadequate player.
  13. Here are the forum rules, however I don't see the prohibition of diaries and blogs on the forum. This is strange, I swear I read it somewhere... Anyway, your topic is in fact quite interesting, so I guess it's just the title that makes it misleading...

    Titan VS. Mammoth

I'm not sure about taller... I wonder if there is any data available of the dimensions of the different hulls. I'm pretty sure dictator is the tallest, however it might only be an illusion.

    Titan VS. Mammoth

I never really used titan (just got m0 on a newbie acc), so I can't really compare them. I'm just reciting observations from other players' experience with titan and from my own encounters in battles :)

    Titan VS. Mammoth

It has less health so it's more difficult to stay alive. If you want to be a full-on indestructible mobile fortress, then why go with the second toughest hull? Titan's only real advantage is being able to shove all the other hulls around.
