    OK, tell me them what's Thunder's disadvantage if it didn't have self-damage? The gun would be WAY too overpowered. I'm not sure why you noticed a decline in Thunder users. The main reason could be excessive amounts of popular protective paints that have thunder protection included (Emerald, Prodigy, Clay), but then again, those paints are popular BECAUSE there are lots of thunders.

    I'm back :) You're not completely useless. If you're good enough - you can shot nearby walls next to your enemy so that the shot deals lots of splash damage to them and only a bit to you.

    Well, all I'm saying is that the self-damage is a feature developers added to "nerf" Thunder so that it becomes less overpowered. It's your job do avoid self-destructing and it's your fault if you get yourself into a situation where people are pressing up against you and forcing you to self-destruct, losing a kill. I'm out.

    Well I don't know what kind of Thunder player plays without a thunder resistance paint :D. Thunder is a powerful gun and can be quite OP in some cases. Splash damage is a big advantage for Thunders, so the self-damage is a way to balance its power so that players actually have some difficulty getting kills.

    Wow, nice! It's not the same battle though (I mean same map, but multiple battles). Still very impressive though. Dictator seems to be the best hull now, since EVERYONE has become a crystal farmer... -_-

    Captain Obvious detected :D Yes, you now get a penalty for self-destructing. This has been added to stop players with Thunder and Ricochet self-destructing when about to be killed to prevent their opponent getting the kill, which is unfair to other guns. It also encourages players to be more careful with their maneuvers and jumps etc. so that they don't turn over as often.
  11. I agree with everyone - the update ruined the game. At least at the moment everyone is after the crystals, rather than playing the game... Looks like PRO battles it is...

    Abyss still exists - it was changes to remove "unfair" hiding spots and renamed to "Skyscrapers"

That's because despite the angular shape of the Dictator, it's hitbox (the actual shape that interacts with other objects) is a cuboid, therefore meaning that there is an invisible wall in front of it. A similar thing happens on rooftops - if you use parkour to get up there, you may end up "floating" above the building because the hitbox of the building is a cuboid and doesn't follow the shape of the slanted roof. If the developers make the hitboxes follow the curvature of the tank (as well as buildings etc.) it will make the game more laggy and longer to load. Moreover, the tanks might behave strangely after collisions. This is why this "error" won't be changed.

  15. Just checked out the gameplay on a few maps. Yes, the battles are full of people camping the crystal drop spots with heavy hulls (I did it myself). It seems that now the only sensible option is to play PRO battles which I will do from this account and PRO XP battles from my other account. If this continues, then from now on normal battles with crystals are only going to be my crystal farming grounds with mammoth...

    First of all, this message is off-topic and all ideas and suggestions must go in this section. As for your idea, there are a few issues with it. The first is the fact that the self-destruct penalty isn't that bad and it's better to self-destruct and get back into the battle as soon as possible and get points, rather than greedily conserve your points and wait to be killed. Also, you mentioned players, who "exploit" the penalty. Well, they don't do it to reduce your personal score, but they (at least the more experienced ones) don't kill you so that you can't participate in the battle for 10 extra seconds, giving the other team a small advantage. This only applies for CTF and CP battles. The idea itself actually makes sense, though. Unfortunately I doubt that it will ever be implemented, but, as mentioned above, you should post it in the ideas and suggestions section for it to really be noticed.

  22. Not any part. There is a specific set of locations where it can drop and one of these is selected and highlighted after the siren sounds. That's where the gold will drop.
  23. OK, here's your explanation. First of all, you have to know the main principles of micro-upgrades. They are called MICRO upgrades because each upgrade is only a small improvement (as said by xx_like_a_boss_xx) and to really notice the difference you need to fully upgrade your tank and compare the gameplay in a normal battle and in a PRO battle with no micro-upgrades. Second, the first few steps of an upgrade are the most effective. If you upgrade 10/25 steps on your hull - that's more than 50% of the total improvement. As you upgrade the characteristic further, you get less and less improvement for each step. Since you are talking about steps 17 to 21, then you definitely won't any noticeable improvement from that. Also, the upgrades do get more and more expensive, therefore you get less for more, i.e. you pay more crystals per step, but you get less improvement compared to the first few steps. Third, you can easily calculate the bonus you got from the upgrades by using the MU tables on the wiki. Steps 17 to 21 for Hornet M3 armour give you +1.3 +1.3 +1.2 +1.2 +1.2 hp. That's only 6.2 health points for all those crystals you spent (40077 with no sales). Yet, the first two steps give you +9.0 total health points for as little as 1167 crystals. Meanwhile, one shot of Ricochet M2 deals up to 26.5 damage per hit. The WHOLE upgrade process from M3 to full MU gives you 43.7 additional armour, which is not even enough to survive two extra ricochet shots. Of course you won't notice the difference by going through only a few late stage upgrades. To consolidate: A fully micro-upgraded tank is only good for getting senseless players to invest real money into the game by fooling them that paying a lot will give them a huge advantage. Unless you already have all M3 and all top paints, you should only upgrade your tank until halfway on all stats to get most result for your crystals. Don't expect to have an amazing improvement in battle after every step - you will only start noticing the difference when you fully upgrade your tank and compare it to a basic M3.

    True, I usually have 50-60 and I got from 5 to 30 fps on that map a few minutes ago, yet 2 days ago I went on it and everything was fine...
