    Ideas for Game Modes!

All of this sounds exactly like what Railgun Master already is lol, and honestly, I'd love ranked XP/BP. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't harm the game, but contribute to it. Also, as far as I know, some kind of a ranked game mode is planned currently, but only for clans vs clans. In the past, the devs mentioned it over and over again that they don't want ranked to be part of Tanki. I don't really understand why, though.
  2. It happened to me too recently, I couldn't log in with the client, browser or on mobile; game would load to something between 33-95% and then just stop. There used to be this fix, where you'd use some other official link to load Tanki's resources, but this time it didn't help me either. In my case however, everything kinda fixed itself the next day.
  3. This has been an issue ever since HTML5, it feels as if it's completely random whether the game realizes there are multiple tanks in a row. I don't remember this happening while Flash was still a thing.
  4. Do you remember how everyone was complaining about stealing kills in deathmatch? Ever since pretty much getting rid of assists, literally every game mode is now only about stealing kills. Crazy that that was not adjusted with this update. Railgun Master especially is unplayable with this; you do everything, and see only the ones who land the kills shine on the scoreboard. It's completely flawed.

    Stats

Since your account seems to be pretty old, you have to know that maybe not all of your stats have been recorded. I used to play lots of Dictator in old Tanki for example, and would you look at that, it shows I have 0 hours on Dictator. They started recording stats shortly before profiles became a thing, so chances are that your old old stats just were not recorded.
  6. It's really not that complicated, out of action means something like you didn't receive damage in a while and didn't deal damage to the ones who were damaging you. You would figure out how much time it takes just the way you're figuring out for how many seconds an assist counts right now. Of course, this is a bit more complicated and would take some effort to implement, but sometimes the simplest solution, such as only adding a timer, is not the best one either, and Tanki wouldn't be the first game to add some more complex assist mechanics anyway. They definitely have the ability to do it, just requires some thought and willpower.
  7. One could assume that if most, if not all of the damage you dealt was healed, and the opponent made it out of being in that fight alive (for this a time limit would make sense, how much time needs to pass after they're "out of action"), that then you wouldn't get the assist anymore. Can't fully compare Tanki to CS2 of course, but you could consider thinking in this direction, because why not. Regardless, one or three seconds is not the way here, I'd say.
  8. In CS2, it counts your damage as an assist only after you've lowered your opponent's health by at least 41% of their total HP, and there is no time limit. Cuz yeah, no matter how much time passes, the guy you've damaged that much has to adapt their gameplay until they get healed again by a certain amount. So, I feel like the game should stop counting your damage as an assist only once the guy you damaged has healed enough, and not after 15, 3 or 1 second/s.
  9. This sounds like people are going to do all the work and get 0 score for it, because someone waited barely any time and just stole everything.
  10. Why not just make a new paint? I swear, every big game would get cancelled for all of this. Tanki is lucky the playerbase is rather small.

Why does the game auto use heal kit

You may have activated it the second you died, which happens to me literally millions of times, then you respawn and waste a heal because you didn't notice it's queued. Would be nice if you could somehow activate that you can't queue items while dead, as it would prevent this from happening.
  12. If none of the links krokorok provided work on any browser, they won't work for the client either, sadly. Maybe try a VPN, if you have one?
  13. Alternatively, you could try the client, and in case it's also not loading, you could do this:
  14. Some message asking us whether we're sure we want to reload the client would also be neat. They added this to reporting battle names recently, because so many people were clicking it accidentally and reporting immediately without wanting to. Could be pretty helpful in this case too, I can imagine. Also when closing the client. And if you find those confirmation messages annoying, you could be able to toggle them on/off in the options, maybe.
  15. Could also just add a small textbox above the items row in each tab. In the protection tab you could for example type "smoky", and it would then show only the Smoky protection module in this case.

Pro Battles : what happened now?

    Mind sharing? ?
  17. Really looking forward to all the clueless "veterans" who have not touched the game before the HTML era. They sure know a lot about a classic version.

    Help pls !

It's just lag. The moment you see your opponent shooting isn't when they actually shot, there's quite the delay. It takes some time for the server to register what's happening; in cases such as the ones you described, it registered your opponent's action first. But in general, if you and your opponent shoot at the exact same time in your POV, your opponent's shot is landing first. Would be quite helpful to be able to see what everyone's ping is to be able to handle such situations. Lots of competitive games do this already. Even in Minecraft you can roughly see how good each player's connection is.
  19. You know, what many don't realize, is that this is not purely the game's fault. If you host game servers for example in the center of Europe, and allow people to connect to those from I don't know, North and South America, eastern Asia - it is physically impossible for the data of those players to travel to the servers fast enough for them to have a low ping, which results in you getting hit behind cover (in your POV, not theirs) by them. No matter how good or bad servers are, this is not only happening to you, it's happening to everyone, in every game. When you shoot people you also hit them while they're behind cover by the way, just the way they hit you as well. Solutions to this are either regional servers, for example some servers in America, some in Europe etc., or an actual technological breakthrough, that makes data travel faster. And regarding the video thing, if you tell me your Railgun doesn't have vertical auto-aim, I simply cannot believe it, because my Railgun does have vertical auto-aim. So without evidence (a video) of this happening for you, everyone will tend to tell you it's a skill issue. Especially nowadays: if you have an Nvidia desktop GPU that has been released within the last 12 years, you can record a clip anywhere from 15 seconds to 1 minute by just pressing two keys on your keyboard, upload it to YouTube without any editing, and post it here on the forum. All of this takes you less than 5 minutes, you guys are just lazy.
  20. Would also be nice to have an input field where you can type the name of a paint to find it. But eh, takes too much effort probably, too much cost without giving anything back ?

    Cannot reload resources

I'm glad it did, lol. I guess we found a fix for this problem, in case people encounter it in near future. ?

    Cannot reload resources

I can't guarantee whether this works, but try this: go to where you have Tanki installed. You should be able to get there by right-clicking your Tanki Online shortcut and then select "open file location". If you land in some folder that contains multiple different programs, do that again, and you should land where you have Tanki installed. The second folder there should be named "resources". In the resources folder, there's a file named "tankionline.json". If you open that, you should see a link after something called "loadURL". At the end of the link, it says "resources=https..." whatever. Replace everything after the "resources=" with the corresponding part of the link Opex provided that does it for you. Would be funny if this works ? I tried doing this myself: cleared my cache, replaced the link, and at least my client is still launching without any problems.
  23. I think you got the idea of mouse controls wrong. It's not about your turret, it's about controlling your camera which then controls your turret on its own. Usually, you find a sensitivity that feels comfortable for you, and can then simply use it for every turret. You just drag your mouse somewhere and wait for your turret to follow. That the camera is not locked to your turret is what makes mouse cool.
