When I get crystals as a daily bonus its more than that...
-
Maybe as people get more skills they learn how to deal with Shafts?
-
Don't like friendly fire? Don't play in Friendly Fire games. Simples.
-
I disagree; rewards increase with both skill and rank, and it is quote possible to save up tens of thousands of crystals over a relatively short period. Making things cheaper lowers their value : "when everyone is super, no-one will be" Syndrome, The Incredibles

This comes at the expense of mobility and the ability to look around rapidly, both of which are key parts of staying alive! There are very few maps where you can't use counter-sniper tactics to disrupt a shaft player, especially in a team. They are hugely vulnerable to being "flanked" on most maps, or you can get team-mates to act as decoys and follow up with a railgunner (or two.) Low-skilled shaft players are easy to spot (and kill), even on heavy hulls.
-
Just another form of cheating to help the other team win, really - like running off with the flag, or shooting team mates. I'd suggest capturing on video and reporting to the mods as someone who is deliberately aiding the opposition...
-
I enjoyed both maps a lot, although Crash was pretty crazily unbalanced for CTF. I liked the multiple attack/return routes for CTF in Gallery - especially the long "gutters" and tunnels - the camping spots all had their own vulnerabilities too, which kept CTF active and fast. Never managed to get lost in either of them though - they aren't *that* big. Have you tried Berlin?
-
I'd suggest you need to spend more time away from Tanki and interacting with actual real girls, or get some help from a mental health professional. Maybe both.

Do you think that the rank limits are a bit too generous?

The changed limits do seem to allow a lot of low-rank/skill players into higher rank battles - but some of them do learn from how the high ranked players engage in the game... -
Maybe you should have tried capturing the flag a few times not just "sitting with your shaft"? It was a CTF game after all, not a TDM....
-
People already self-destruct by driving off the map or using Thunder on a wall when they reach low health in Death Matches (single and team) to help their scores; some even go as far as leaving and re-joining the game rapidly. An instant self-destruct would send this to epic proportions - both DM and TDM games would be ruined.

If you didn't share your password then it may have been quite weak or easy to guess. You can check the strength of your password here : http://www.passwordmeter.com/ There advice on creating strong but memorable passwords here : http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Password-You-Can-Remember

That is the "scalability" problem that most companies face, eventually; what is economic when you have 200,000 players might not be at 2,000,000 or 20,000,000. Support workloads and bandwidth goes through the roof, and the revenue can struggle to catch up unless you change the economics; since the rebalance the huge lag problems have reduced a lot - a sign perhaps that changing the economic model has helped investment in the Tanki system?
-
Good site for checking how strong your password is : http://www.passwordmeter.com/ To make it memorable, try taking a line from a song, and then the first letter from each word, mixing capitals and substituting numbers for letters and letters for words. For example "Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are" => ttL5h1wwur

Your English better than the English written by a lot of posters who have it as a first language! :D

LIfe's about making choices and living with the consequences - if you don't tell us the pros and cons as you see them, we can't offer advice. Games like Tanki are fun, but can be a huge time-sink and get in the way of real-world stuff if you let them. I'd suggest going "cold turkey" from the game for a month in order to get some perspective; make sure you store your password somewhere. Good luck

"Popping" low-skill mammoth/shaft combinations that way is one of the joys of the game - especially on the Stadium map as you race along the back row where they tend to congregate! Of the guns you list I'd go with Isida - but as icerugby says, it's better to find a gun that fits your style. I prefer firebird to freeze - get 'em with the afterburn even of they get you, and hanging around with Shaft I find dull - but that's me.
-
Pretty sad that given the power to do *anything* in the game most of these posts suggest giving themselves loads of goodies or reversing one of the recent updates. No clever weapons, new hulls, map features, new supplies, chat features or battle modes. Just "meh - put it back how it was" or "gimmie free stuff" (and of course the inexplicable "women are annoying" - I find they are actually really awesome if you get to know them properly ;) )
-
Best tactic I find is Railgun on a light hull and get up close; approach at speed from the direction they are not looking in, hit the Mammoth on the approach and then drive past them, turning your turret for the second shot while they are still trying to see what happened - especially if they are using Shaft. You should be able to reverse and come down the *other* flank (while they are still looking the wrong way) for a third shot if needed - a suitable protection paint like corrosion helps.
-
Ah - but that's the whole fun of having a light hull and a railgun! As C S Forester put it : "Eggshells armed with Sledgehammers"

But - I'm a creep. I'm a Weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here.

Missiles and Turrets were both in the PC version of the game BattleZone, which was an excellent 3D tank game back in the day. You could even eject from a Tank before it blew and use your trusty sniper's rifle to kill another tankist, and steal their vehicle.
-
The old Battlezone PC game had a missile system (called Hornet) a bit like this; it had a heat-seeking "lock-on" reticule on the HUD which tracked targets and needed a few seconds to lock on; worked well in that 3D tank game. I think it might work better as a "supply" box, like a Landmine, with the "seeker head" activated with a push, and then fired instead of the main gun. Usual supply "time out" would keep it from being too powerful. Plenty of real tanks (and AFVs) have sported missile launches over the years to back up their main gun...
