It doesnt make sense to me, how dictator will be 'lighter' than hunter or viking. Its huge... is it made out of carbon fiber, while the other tanks are made from steel? It doesnt make sense! I dont think this should take place with dictator, I mean yes, it should be fast, with increased turning speed, but I dont feel like it should feel so light weight with its huge size lol.

You had 9-10 seconds to get away easy, with your new increased speed, and failed. Shaft isnt OP... its easier than ever to avoid its shots. You just werent keeping on guard like you should have. -

Shaft is NOT OP. With the speed like this, if it doesnt charge fast, its IMPOSSIBLE to get a shot in... people just vanish out of your sights and if you miss, you're screwed, you've got 8 seconds of reload... shaft is fine. Its not OP. Its more strategical now, more usable, and still has HUGE drawbacks. Its very balanced. As for the speed... I suggest a slight decrease, BUT still keep it faster. Like maybe lower everything by 1.0 speed. Dictator at 8.0 Hunter at 9.0 Viking at 7.5 Wasp at 12.0 Hornet at 11.0 This slight speed increase would certainly be welcomed, but I dont think anyone is ready to make such a giant adjustment. Its fun and all, and im sure some could handle it, and master it over time, but it is currently a little insane. Speed increase is awesome! But its just a tad too much for most people's liking. -

QUESTION: Only M3's have been changed? How come only the m3 stats are different?! Is it going to stay this way? Whats up with shafts m2->m3 version? I havent tested any in game yet, but the stats look very weird? M2 Hunter has 6.7 spd, but M3 has 10.00???? Someone please confirm if this is how it will be when the real physics are changed. -
The real question though.... does it actually do anything?
-
He didnt say for them to hurry, he said for the developers not to mention the updates until they are guarenteed to be released with 100% certainty, free of bugs and glitches. I agree with his statement, I wrote a similar post a few pages back saying the exact same thing.

When did I say I was...? Please tell me.

By posting meaningful and insightful posts frequently, and trying to associate or get to know the more experienced players here, you develop ties with different people. Speak with respect to others here on the forums, and help whenever possible. Don't break any of the rules or do anything that would be looked down upon. Also, get to the higher ranks as fast as you can, people will take your words more seriously. "Oh, hes a higher rank, he likely knows more about this game and the community than lower ranked players." Participation in contests will also give you relative fame, that is, if you can become a winner of competitions. Theres just a few things, and with everything, try to be positive and upbuilding.

I actually find it to be much more useful in CTF mode. The reason for this is because often, people target you less and are more focused on eliminating flag holders, druggers, and people who are 'in their way.' In CTF mode, often you can sit in various places, a bit off to the side from the action points in a map, and you can easily go unseen. Also, since its about securing kills, rather than damaging them, shaft is an extremely good kill-secure weapon. Its high damage spike can often ensure that the enemy will die from your hit. In comparison to other weapons in CTF, you are much less likely to be kill-stolen when using Shaft. Another reason is that in TDM mode, often the weapons that have the highest damage per second (DPS) come out on top... because score is determined by how much damage you do over time, rather than number of kills. Thunder, twins, and firebird (At M2) are usually the best at doing this, since thunder has splash damage, twins has no reload, and firebird can wreak havoc upon multiple enemies at once, and cause damage even after you die. I also find TDM to be a bit boring, especially if the score has a large gap in it, since there is no excitement of killing priority targets. There is less strategy to it in my opinion, and there is little sense of urgency. In CTF mode, there are often 'choke' points where the enemy is required to pass through in order to enter your base. If you position a shaft in one of these places, you are a much greater help to your team. Yes, in TDM, you will do better by having a great K/D ratio, helping your team in that regard, but if your damage done per second is significantly lower, then you will struggle to keep up with other weapons who are constantly dealing damage the entire match. Just an opinion though.

I just finished a match in Kungur, CTF, full of Generalissimos... at least 5 of them on each team were full-time drugging the entire match. I took screenies so you can see the score progressing, and my amount of drugs are unchanged. Btw, this is my FIRST time playing in Kungur with my new M2 Shaft... not a drug was used. And you can see another Major on the enemies team, same rank as me... so you can see how I perform in comparison to others at my rank. 5 Screenshots in chronological order from Kungur CTF M2 Shaft + M2 hunter... I love it. This is the first of many screenshots to come! :) I managed more than a handful of 30-0 K/Ds, a 48-0 K/D... (these were sometimes done with 2-3 double powers used) But its amazing how I can hang with the M3 druggers... I love how it annoys people too LOL Rail can't kill druggers like yourself very easily. Its damage spike is too low. Shaft on the other hand, when many mammy druggers are coming at your base, they save their HP kit for when they are on the last quarter of health, to make full use of their kit. This is when I strike... 195 damage to them, and their first aid kit is wasted. This is one of many reasons why I love my M2 shaft :D #Gamechanger

It doesnt seem likely that they will hold true to this.. :(

O_O Mines for 5 crystals.... just imagine the CTF matches for the next few weeks... mine fields for daaays haha. Cool. :) By the way... PLEASE do NOT do this with other supplies. Its alright with mines, due to the time limit for reload, and if you die, they go away... but if you guys do this with other supplies.. just... no. Dont. K thx.
-
Naw, not M0... M2 does 195 dmg though. (I have M2 so I was speaking from my view.)

I use M2 hunter and it is AMAZING with m2 shaft. Its also great for Isida in medium/small sized maps... and just about any other weapon really. As a mid fielder, I'd suggest a hull which will allow you to survive a long enough amount of time, so that a teammate isida can heal you occasionally, keeping you alive. The reason Hunter is a great choice for this, is because it has the speed needed when you are in a rough situation (1-2 druggers coming at you and you cant possibly do anything but hide/run until they pass and then shoot them from behind) and it is fast enough to back away from hornet + close range users, and it can take many hits especially with a nice paint such as Tundra, or Digital. Its small size is also a huge plus, since as a mid fielder, you will want to avoid being hit. Viking is pretty wide, and for those who are used to lighter hulls, it can be a little awkward, similar to using Dictator, which is even more difficult to evade enemy fire with. Though Hunters M2 stats are fairly low in comparison to other M2 hulls, due to the fact that its M3 is unlocked very late, and the difference between M2 and M3 being so wide, the Micro Upgrades will be VERY effective at M2. I also think it looks pretty nice as well. You can't go wrong with it in my opinion, and its certainly doing its job for me! Edit: M2 shaft + hunter in Bobruisk (Just finished this match - not a single drug was used - but many of my team/enemy was drugging the entire match.) http://postimg.org/image/mtlaer1l1/ And it seems now, nearly every single game I participate in ( I choose matches fairly strategically, decent map, my ranks, and ones that just started) end up like the screenie. Occasionally a drugger can out-do me in score, but shafts Kill stealing ability, + spawn kills is just awesome, especially when considering how popular Hornet is. It will be different. I think it will be more difficult to use... if you make a mistake, you are severly punished with the long reload time. The plus side is that a full charge will take significantly less time, so if you are facing an enemy who is coming at you, you can easily charge up and destroy them with a full power shot.... but if you dont kill them in that one hit... you're done for. 8 seconds to reload bro... thats a LONG time. Shaft will be harder to kill-steal with, since you cannot quick-fire when you see an enemy on low HP. Your shots will NEED to make contact... if you miss.. you will really hinder your DPS. With the new physics update, hulls will also be faster, so aiming will require even more skill. One benefit of the new short charge time though, will be upon spawning. If there is someone at your base who has just taken your flag, normally with shaft, you wouldnt be able to charge up a full shot in time to kill him. But since that charge time will be significantly lowered, you could spawn, and kill your opponent much quicker. It will be sort of like using railgun... you know how when you use railgun, people try to make you miss, and then if you miss, or attack someone else, they immediately charge at you, trying to kill you before you can let off another shot? That will be happening with shaft.... so rather than sitting idle with shaft, and sniping from one spot... you will do better to use a more agile hull. Get on the move, find a target, take aim, and shoot! Then run for your life, so no one will kill you while you try to reload. I think it will be better when at the enemy's base, say you try to take the flag, and the enemy is about to spawn 10 meters infront of you... you see their 'ghost' as they are spawning. At this crucial moment, you will have barely just enough time to let off a full power shot IF you start charging your shot immediately after their ghost appeared. But if you miss... you're done for. So once again... shaft will require more skill to use effectively, and will be better on-the-go, with lighter hulls. It will not be able to kill-steal as easily, since it will be less useful to fire without full power. Why wait 8 seconds to deal 40 damage, when you could wait 11 seconds to deal 190? I do hope this is changed though... maybe the ability to switch between sniping mode, and quick fire mode. Otherwise, shaft will have a much harder time competing for kills.

Perhaps, however, it not only unlocks early, but no one knows how great of increase Micro Upgrades could allow it to have. In comparison to other weapons/hulls which unlock later, i suspect that since they are usually already better, stat wise, that their MU's will be less far reaching than those M3's which are unlocked earlier. This would help to keep everything balanced. I imagine Isida, Freeze, Hornet, and Shaft would have better micro-upgrade potential at M3 than the other equipment, especially in comparison to what is unlocked at Generalissimo level.

This. I have M2 hunter + tundra, and it can take 2 m2 rail shots, and live. Dies on the third hit with around 15ish HP left usually. **I absolutely LOVE my M2 shaft + M2 hunter + tundra set. It would be really nice to have digital, but I dont think itll change too much. I just dont like the way Tundra looks really. I wish my electra had tundra's protections... looks so cool haha. Ive been using it for a few days now, and man is this thing awesome. M2 shaft... if you use it to its full ability, in the right maps (most definitely not just large sized maps - Ive only played ONE Seruphov match.. not a single Kungur yet.) But maps such as Noise - current favorite, Combe, Farm, Bobruisk, Silence, and a few others... its epic. It can also easily compete in matches full of Generalissimos, since its M2 is quite near the M3 version. So far, I'm very glad that I purchased M2 shaft instead of M2 smoky. I managed a few impressive D/L ratios as well. A 48-0 D/L in a Noise CTF, lots and lots and lots of 10.00-30.00 D/L's in other maps, a 1st place in a polygon DM with people at my ranks, (where 3-4 of the 16 were full-time druggers) and I only used a handful of double powers and 2-3 mines. And the list goes on.... druggers seem to hate me, cause anyone who tries to take our flag gets popped with an instant 195 damage spike, and if needed, I press 3, and that 195 turns into 390. Thats enough to destroy even titan/mammy druggers who are being attacked by 2-3 other people at the same time, they wait until their HP is lower, so the HP pack is more beneficial, and just at that moment when they are about to use an HP pack... BAM. 390 damage. Dead. And then if the enemy tries to pick up the flag again... I can guard it like a hawk. And tons of people rage quit haha. 'Stupid shaft! Someone kill that shaft!' 'Ugh!' I hope the new physics do not ruin Shafts current ability. That would suck. As for future upgrades... M3 hunter... M3 shaft.. and a nice long range paint. Possibly Corrosion + microupgrades to the max would be cheaper than getting something like Prodigi/Picasso? Not sure, but yeah... shaft is awesome, the end. :D

You sure you dont have this the opposite way around bro?

The more NSB's the merrier.

Server 2 for No Supplies Battles everyone!

Hornet would be better in large maps. As for smaller maps (Combe/pingpong/island/sized) or densely populated maps such as Silence, Hunters HP would do it better.

@ mervin / Jonathan... and anyone else... please read this. In regards to the 'argument' you two were debating about, I'd like to express my opinion on the matter. I understand what both of you are saying, and I agree with both of you on a few things. I think mervin is right when it is wrong to change an item after the purchase of it. Especially if its an item that they count on, and invested a large amount of money into it. If the item is being changed at that point, the customer deserves either a REFUND or a STORE-CREDIT. It is simply wrong to let someone buy something, and then change it after you've taken their money. Now I realize sometimes things needed to be changed, for balance. Not everyone is perfect, and its impossible to keep everything perfectly balanced at all times when making big changes in equipment. As respect towards the customers, there is NO reason why they cannot be given some sort of reimbursement. If not a full refund, at least a 50% refund of crystals if requested. You know what the absolute most annoying thing is, when you purchase an item in real life? When they have a policy which says NO RETURNS. The only time that this should apply, is in yard sales or pawn shops, or places like that. But any 'new' item should be able to have a sell-back value of some sort. And Jonathan, about us tanki players being grateful, or ungrateful... well think about other companies first of all. First lets think about a restuarant. When you walk into a quality restuarant, you first of all EXPECT the chefs and employees there to know exactly what they're doing. They should be fully experienced and qualified and professional. They should be respectful to the customer. Now, say you order a nice steak, a filet mignon. You ask for it to be cooked medium, with a slight warm pink center. You also ask for a side of broccoli, a baked potato, with sour cream, and you ask for an order of bread rolls. Now you finally get your food, after waiting patiently for some time. You taste everything, the broccoli, the baked potato, the bread, its all amazing! Except one thing.. the steak... it has been over cooked. It is not pink in the center at all, but is nearly burnt...... You ask to speak with the manager/chef. First you tell them that everything was great, but the steak was not to your liking. JUST IMAGINE if they replied: WHAT!? Seriously? Do you know how much work I put into making that steak? Its a nice portion size, expensive seasonings were used in making it, I cooked it and it looked fine! AND WHAT ABOUT ALL THE SIDES?! You said those were good! YOU"RE SO UNGRATEFUL! Now... think about what just happened.... then you should understand what the clear next step is in this equation. The customer should receive either a refund for his steak, or he should be cooked another one to perfection, at his liking. In Tanki Online, the customers expect top quality from a respectful team, with very qualified workers. If you're going to make even small mistakes, or delay expectations that you've put into the mind of your customer, there is a penalty, on YOUR part. Imagine if the waitress told the customer, "Your food will be here shortly!" But 5 minutes pass.. and it still has not arrived. Once again the waitress comes by with the same hopeful remark. 10 minutes pass... your stomach is now aching as you are starving. 3 more minutes pass and the Chef comes out from the back and says 'be patient, let me slow-cook your food so itll taste better, jeez dont rush me." At this point you're enraged. You came to buy a product, and it is not what you paid for. You came in looking for top-notch service. So what do you do? YOU GIVE A BAD TIP. These comments should tell you something. If we are angry, there is a reason for it. Your customers expect perfection, or near perfection. If we invest money in something, or time for that matter, we require that our expectations are met. There is no 'be grateful for the other good parts..' in this world of business. Its not how this world works... If a company wants to find success, they need everything to fall into place perfectly. If they are lacking in one area, then there is a problem, and their success should be based on their quality of service.

Yeah... its always gotta be something. -_- Its kinda like telling your child, "I have a really amazing gift for you that you've been wanting for months now for your birthday! Oh, that is as long as my account funds permit me to do so." I just feel like we shouldnt be told about things to keep us waiting for them, so anxious, when they truly do not know when it will be given to us. Its incredibly frustrating to have expectations left unfulfilled. It also forces you to question whether or not a source can be reliable or trusted. "Can I believe what they are telling me...?" -Looks at history- Tanki has very much so failed in that regard. It would be much better if they would simply wait until later to tell us about these things, so that we do not become impatient. Most people have enough patience to wait on release dates for the first time, but when the foretold date is prolonged, once, or even twice, then the issue is no longer about patience. Aside from that, fortunately the game is decent enough to keep most of us coming back, at least for daily rewards if nothing else. Its still rather disappointing at times though. Just speaking my mind.

Thought it was before the end of November...? Sigh... I wonder if there has ever been a planned update (not holidays) in the history of tanki, when its actually come when foretold. -_- "Beginning of December," why do I feel like this will take until Dec. 15th.
