I think this should be added, however it needs to have some limitations. Serious limitions. I think you should be able to refund your item within 3-24 hours of purchase. This allows you to test it, and see if its something you really want to keep. This will have a penalty though. O______O I just thought of something... how about a 'Test drive' button? That we could pay a certain amount of crystals to temporarily purchase an item for a short time period. Basically renting it, and it would disappear from our garage once the time limit is up? Say a rate of 500 crystals per hour for M1's, 1,000 crystals per hour for M2's, and 2,000 crystals per hour for M3's? This would be a great great great way for tanki to make money, and allow its customers to test things before they buy it so they don't regret spending a large amount of their savings.

Its an average sale, with bad timing. Blind purchases will be made since all hulls will be changed. (Thats why the sale is only for hulls - so you buy something, regret it, and buy again later on the 50% sale.)

Seriously... they coulda waited 15 more days to have this sale, AFTER the physics come... so we know what we're buying. We would be making blind purchases if we buy stuff before the new physics come... with no refund. Thats what they want, so we'll regret our purchase and buy something else later. :( Sigh. ALERT - Please read this non-buyers. It seems this is being done as another money scam. Players will want to pay for the first 3-5 (cheaper - but still expensive) micro-upgrades, but will get NO discount at all, until they fully maximize a category. Its less likely that they will want to upgrade the last 5 or so upgrades because the change of improvement will be very tiny - but if they dont, then they will get no discount on the next modification. Therefore, players will be spending 20k crystals to get an M1 wasp to 10/15 speed micro-upgraded, leaving it with 9.2 speed (65% of the 75% max of M2) and then have to pay an additional 40k for the last 5 MU's for only +.3 speed increase, if they want any kind of discount at all.

Debating between M2 wasp or M2 titan for use with M2 smoky. Help? I think wasp will be more fun, diverse gameplay for sure... but Titan will own in smaller sized maps... and for maps where they are massive size and wide open like Kungur, I think railgun > smoky? (For use on wasp) Opinions?

This is great, except for one thing: Buyers will have an even greater advantage. Im guessing that the cost for MU's total waaay higher than the 75% discount you would receive on the next item. This means non-buyers would be wasting their hard earned crystals and would struggle to keep an up to date combo for their rank. This is only beneficial for people who own M3's, and have some crystals laying around. (Even if everyone is fully MU'd at M3.75, at least gameplay will 'feel' faster due to higher movement/firing speed. I welcome increased speed in gameplay.) To put this in perspective though... when combined with product kits, we will be seeing M2 vikings/thunders with Prodigi, fully MU'd so technically they're 2.75 almost M3's (because they're rich and can afford this) while other players are using M1's, and the occasional M2, just barely trying to hang on, to afford their next full upgrade. The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. (Anyone who isnt a buyer and wants to not waste crystals will not micro-upgrade until M3, further increasing the gap from M2-M3 (M2-M3.75) -Sorry if I've misunderstood something or am totally wrong, this just seems to be the future for tanki from my eyes.

False. This will give smoky a huge advantage. Did you forget about more opportunities for critical hits? 50% increased firing rate = 1/3rd more crits than usual, on TOP of the 50% more damage over time from non-crits. Question: I am very unsure as to whether or not I want to upgrade Thunder from M0->M2, or purchase M2 Smoky. I find both very enjoyable to use. -Smoky is 'exciting' because it can save you at the last second during emergency situations, and provide those EPIC wins. It also allows me to enjoy more 'action-packed' situations, because it is still very effective at close range. Its wonderful in CTF mode even when facing druggers due to its crits as well. -Thunder is fun for me because (btw I only have ever used m0 thunder on an alt account) I use it with a light hull, and have mastered its ability to use splash damage. Ground shots by rocking your tank in the appropriate manner really make it fun. Harder braking for close range ground shots - hitting people behind walls - and less braking and perfect timing of ground shots to enemies of 40m+ who think they are protected by cover. Its really fun mastering the timing and seeing their reactions when you shoot the ground next to them from long distances and they die. A little about me: I hate facing teams full of druggers. I think I would feel helpless against them if I purchase m2 thunder. Smokys crits on the other hand could catch them off guard and crit them right before they use their health pack, and saving the day. I also enjoy light hulls, because I can be much more strategic with my gameplay. I do not drug very often, but when I do, I want to make it count. I currently own M2 freeze and M2 isida. The rest of my items are M1. (Almost full m1 garage) I own Electra and Tundra paints. I have 150k crystals to spend. I am considering the following: M2 Smoky, M2 Thunder, M2 Wasp, M2 Titan, M2 dictator. I am currently leaning towards Smoky + wasp or titan. I fear that Smoky may be nerfed in the future though? I also fear that 50% of players at Brigadier or higher will have Smoky protections and it will be far less useful. Is this prediction probable? -brandybabyxx

I like this idea... I think thats all Rico needs really. Not more fireballs, but more damage for a shot that you bounce off a wall. I say +50% extra damage for a bounced shot, and leave the amount of balls it can shoot before reloading the same. It wouldnt be OP, since only occasionally, can you land bounced shots. It would also encourage more strategic gameplay with Rico, since most people dont even use it to its full potential. This would give a much greater incentive to do so. A double wall shot (2 bounces) could be +100% dmg (double power) as well. Then I believe Rico could truly be useful. (This might be OP with drugs.. - 300-400% dmg on double power + bounced shots... but still) Its too underpowered at the moment. Even with the balls flying faster with new physics.. it doesnt deal enough damage in my opinion. It also gets kill stolen very easily. It has a pretty high damage drop off at 60+ meters as well. Now that I think about it, perhaps 50/100% is too much , but +25% (1 bounce) and +50% dmg (2 bounces) would be better. so on double power, it could deal a maximum of 300% damage. This would be wonderful and require skill to master.

Just listening to the higher authorities. :) Also it seems that as the years go by in this world, people are more and more inclined to brag about their bank accounts. I figured it would be better to give them an outlet for doing so here in this topic, than to do so in another irrelevant topic.

I experience this insane adrenaline rush as well... my heart doesn't start beating rapidly though, unless I'm very nearby, and it very well could've potentially been mine. However, I don't realize how fast its pumping until the initial shock has ended, and the gold box has been taken by myself, or someone else. Then I feel very uncomfortable, moreso when its someone else who has caught it.

I think you can do better probably. A large chunk of the price for M1 kits are the drugs... which unless you plan on buying drugs seperately.. probably isnt worth it. Im not online right now so I forget the price for it, but If I recall correctly, its 99k? Not sure... either way, add it up and think about it. Wasp m1, 13k - fire m1, 7k, cedar, 42k, (the only really useful items in the kit, unless I am predicting a lesser number of ricochets to pop up than you) It would seriously take ALOT of ricochets to make the protection paint worth it. I think its much better to just buy wasp/fire/cedar separately, on a 50% sale. It will only cost you 30k that way. Remember - you can only use 1 paint at a time, so try not to accumulate too many of them. Its good to have 1 close range paint, and one long range protection paint. You'd do better to save your crystals and buy only what you know you are going to use very very often. If not, it will sit in your garage and collect dust, and you'll wish you could sell it back to the store for crystals when the next sale comes and you need a few extra crystals to buy that item you reaaaally want.... but you wont be able to.... But that's just my opinion. (I own almost all M1's and a few m2's with Electra/Tundra)

At the time of post creation, server 27 was the last server on the list. Since that time however, 3 more have been added. I named server 27 because it was the last one on the list, therefore it could easily be remembered for being a special server. That distinction is no longer possible though, with the new server additions. I don't care which server it is, just that we have one. And even if Tanki News wont recognize it and post it, if enough people share this topic, and we choose a server for this, we could get quite a large number of battles going in a single server I think. That would be last resort though.

Thank you for letting us know, Semyon. It's much better than not being told what is going on. I look forward to the future post regarding these updates, and hope that the update will not take too long. I've been eagerly anticipating it every day really, along with the rest of the community here. ~ I hope you read my posts about the micro updates in the past here in this forum. I expressed some ideas regarding how MU's should work, and many of my posts received positive marks by others. Just consider them :)

Sounds like a good plan, certainly achievable by Major rank if you've already saved up some crystals. I own Hunter m1 and railgun m1 myself, and have strongly considered upgrading both of them to m2, but I'm still hesitant, as both upgrades seem rather minimal. Hunter goes wonderfully with Isida in medium and small sized maps, and works well with pretty much any weapon. It has the stability for railgun, and the speed as well. But the m2 upgrade is not that much better than M1. Only 23 more HP, and 0.7 extra speed... That isnt worth 90k in my opinion, or even half of that on a good sale. Same for railgun m2, its only 0.1 faster fire rate, and +20 more damage per shot with barely better turning speed. So what if its purple... yeah its cooler looking but... those crystals lol. Im hoping to wait until after the new physics come, to determine which hull I will upgrade to M2. I love hunter, I just hope that it will get a decent speed upgrade with the coming update. I heard that it is going to have worse 'acceleration' after the physics... thats sort of a big deal for close range users, especially isida where you need to constantly be pretty much on top of your opponents. Also I just thought of something... (everyone feel free to reply to this as it seems like a good idea in theory) With Dictator + Isida, or any close range weapon for that matter... isnt it better to always control your hull in reverse...? Since its such a large hull, and the turret is on the back... if you face forward with a close range weapon, while attacking... in theory you would lose about a meter, almost two meters of distance since your hull is seperating your weapon being located on the back, from your opponent. If you drive the Dictator in reverse however, it would be able to out-range an enemy... for example, Freeze + Dict vs Freeze (facing backwards) + Dict (facing forwards) - Same modifications, shouldnt the backwards facing freeze be able to technically deal damage while staying out of range of the forward facing dictator..? Just a thought. :)

It was posted on the Ideas and Suggestions topic, but it only received 1 thumbs up. It is now buried under the many other posts. I believe its on page 12 there. If you want, feel free to express your opinions regarding a NSB dedicated server there as well, or post a link there to this topic. I'm hoping that the mods will see this topic, and seriously give it consideration. Then soon after, they can post it as news on the update list or some place where everyone can see it easily - those who do not use the Tanki Online forums.
