I'll give you a -1 for your reasoning. The reason the dislike button was removed was simply to place the game in a better light to people at first glance, most people don't read 60 hidden pages of criticisms, they look at the first page and maybe the last page. When players saw 200-300 + downvotes on a topic, it showed them that there was issues with the subject, they would in turn tend to feel the same way and actually get them to read more and contribute to the conversation as well. The saying "Out of sight, out of mind", its basic psychology, the downvote was detrimental to the outlook players have about the game.

Oh please, it is the job of the game devs and analysts to hook the player, then entice the player to spend real money, when done well the platform has happy players with an increasing userbase, but when it is done wrong by focusing to much on revenue reguardless of players happiness then it fails and userbase decreases and revenues fall. The creator of Tanki said it himself in an interview that too the game was concentrating too much on revenue and needs to get back to its roots and focus on player satisfaction. Tanki has added over 3 million in costs for high rank players to advance in the game but has done nothing to speak of in increasing ingame earnings.Every increase to ingame currency has been nerfed as soon as it has been implemented, and players feel forced to pay exorbitantly to compete at M3+ level. Not to mention the subsidizing of Russian players costs in purchasing crystals. The principle of ballooning (or pyramid) costs forcing players to spend more and more as they progress through the game now has soured players to the point that it is not worth the net value of enjoyment Tanki is providing its customers. When it costs 5000 crystals in supplies to win 1500 crystals in a game, it is no wonder that you have the situation where 5% of the players win 95% of the games. leaving the other 95% of players dissatisfied in the game. How you can say it is even close to earning what you are spending is utterly ridiculous and on the verge of being deceptive and misleading.

Might as well get into this conversation since I was here browsing the forum. As with anything Tanki seems to do, it always seems to be the simplest solution to an issue. There are many ways to address this issue, removing the downvote does make the like vote kind of redundant and useless as an information tool, I can see your point reguarding misuse, but that could have easily been addressed by requiring you to quote the post that you wish to downvote in order to place your vote for instance, if malintent is seen, it could simply be removed and player reprimanded.

It is my opinion that the egg came first, ancestors of wild jungle fowl were domesticated and crossbred, the resulting eggs became the first domesticated chickens as we know them.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

While great to see some new props in the game, I don't understand all the hoopla over these additions to the game. the missions have been reduced to rubbish for the most part, when the reward are almost guaranteed to be less value than the cost of a single change. Talk about nerf, again the Gmos get left out, we get no discounts, little rewards for most missions, but oooh look at my shiny XTs.
-
So true, players are ranking up twice as fast now with everyone buying 100% ex multiplier. That's why there are so many nub Gmos with no equipment. They are ripe to be enticed to buy.Guarantee they will be making a big sale on cr purchases very soon.

You can probably still get M2 hornet if you have M1 and don't have enough for M3 by fully MUing your M1 hornet. But it will cost you more in the long run

Guess they are listening. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=276296&page=26&do=findComment&comment=4863927 Too bad it's all for naught.

I just got to Lol at all this, you are all nubs, everyone is just being used as guinea pigs. This is just data mining for unity. They really don't care about the 100k or so users left in this game, they've made all the money they could from this bunch, unity will be marketed to a new bunch of patsys. Honestly the way they have treated the current players of the game over the last few years has irrivocably destroyed any kind of respect or trust in the platform or its development team. Every comment you post aids them in maximizing their revenue in the next game they produce, even this post. I must thank Tanki in a way,it has opened my eyes to the psychology of online gaming and I shall never be manipulated by these game psychologists again.

Good luck in TBWRL, it's the hardest game there is. As for your final word, it has been echoed through this community for years, how do you think they came up with all these monitization models :p As for helpers talking about the problems with the game, the saying, don't look a gift horse in the mouth comes to mind. Everyone feels the same way, helpers, mods, admin, and yes even devs. The owners have one thing and only one thing in mind, $MONEY$ They pushed the limits on how much they could with this game until it broke, they will do the same with the next, and the next after that. It's pretty much the same with all games, but some like Tanki push it too far and they pay the price. Pyramid monitization schemes don't care if players stay, as long as they take the bait a few times, they have completed the schemes goals, of course if they can lead them further and the player is blind to the manipulation. I must congratulate Tanki in that respect, they have certainly manipulated the players of this game quite effectively right up till the intro of the new turrets, and greed got the better of them, but there is a new batch of recruits being manipulated, they don't read the forum, they log in and Tanki heard them all to servers hidden away from the Generalissimos where they can crank up the pyramid scheme on them now.

Seems to me they are looking at an experience system and you will unlock items as you gain exp, in any rate I look forward to give you guys my thoughts on the new system as soon as I get it downloaded and have a chance to pick it apart :p

Im just informing Tanki that the problems are piling up and it is obvious testers are not investigating the issues, the devs are not addressing the issues, I have been here for close to 3 yrs and these issues have not had any closure over that time. Players in game are complaining about these issues every day. I do everything on my end to address the issues, but they always come back, at the moment I must delete data and cache every day before playing, then re set up my preferences before I can start playing. It has nothing to do with which operating system, GPU, browser or internet conection. It is happening to players with all systems.

Problems, problems, and more problems
swede1 replied to swede1 in Problems, problems, and more problems Archive
First off, Flashplayer crashes all the time Second, C++ error when logging off Third, advanced setting dissapear and you cannot change any settings Forth, entering game and changing screen or going to garage gives you re-enter game message Fifth, entering game and changing screen or going to garage gives you grey screen Sixth, garage images take several minutes to load Seventh, clearing cache enables mouse control by default causing problems in full screen Eighth, missions give less than daily bonuses did, now mults are coming back in droves Nineth, Maps have invisible glitches that jar your tank left, or right everywhere Tenth, tank glitches where you cannot turn turret during spawn, and after spawn requiring you to pause and retry to turn turret before moving Eleventh, after taking shot tank will not continue forward, you must reverse to unfreeze forward motion Twelfth, friends list will not load Thirteenth, anti cheat system too sensitive, causing self destruct by opponents actions There are more, but these are the most annoying at the moment. -
This will make sabotaging very difficult, saboteurs job to aid winning team with points will be much more difficult, but of course there will always be a down side, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Fair battles can't be mandated with score leveling, we need more spec mods with powers to kick multi, saboteurs, and inactive kids who don't battle.

Earning 150000 crystals in one day playing Tanks :D

Maybe they should make a "slot machine" if you click on 'Change' on all 3 in a row, you get a chance at a chance of an instant reward or a jackpot. [Tank] [star] [Crystal] [Paint] [box] Different rewards for 3 of a kind, or Pair

The core issue I have is that when I joined this game and decided it was fun and worthwhile to continue (getting involved with community in clans) I decided to become a buyer, at that time it was feasible to spend $20 or so a month over a period of 2 yrs and aquire everything neccecary to become a value in the clan system. Just as I aquire my last M3 and assortment of great paints, Tanks SCRAPS the clan system, destroys the community, implements M4s and adds 2 new turrets virtually Making Generalissimos recruits in their ranks and forcing us to play vs buyers with no matching equipment or paints. Tanki expects Generalissimos to fork out $120 a month for the next two years to get to the point we just spent two years and several hundreds of $$$ to atcheve. This is not the act of a game platform that cares about its players and future of their game, but one of an underhanded greedy business preying on the most dedicated players to fill their pocket books. It would be no different putting speed limiters on all sports cars reducing the max sped to 90km/hr and forcing them to pay another $500000 to have them removed, and by the way sports cars must pay $100/l for fuel as well
-
I see your point but the issue is and always has been that this has been a pay to win game from the start, supplies were always rare commodities purchasable by buyers to gain unfair advantage in the game, this was the main monitization model of the game, to increase revenue more they introduced micro upgrades further advantage on the battlefield for buyers. This is bad Design and is killing the game. The thing is, games don't have to use pay to win monitization stratagem to succeed, it's just a lot easier and less expensive to build on these models. but they are always short lived and ultimately they are doomed to fail.

It is a shame, it was never my intention. When I joined this game, I quickly became very enthusiastic,I enjoyed following Bruce Lunga and the atmosphere of the forum. As I progressed in the game, I overcame the difficulties that rank brought with it and with some encouragement from some veterans, I found the team section and started on what I thought at the time would be my life from that day on in the game Later joining Clan Top Gun where I later took over from Damn_Slow who at the time started to feel the negative effects that were coming. I have always had the players interests at heart and championed on their behalf in the forum for fun and fairness in the game. I actively became aquanted with all the key players in the game and studied the game, company, industry, community, and social media. I have often gotten the attention of the staff and owners of the game, as has many other advocates of this game. Though it is quite rare that any player gets any kind of recognition in their efforts. I am a philanthropist at heart and would have liked to become a part of this organization and use my talents to make a positive contribution to this great game, I say great with sadness, as the game itself is wonderful, but the last year or so has been a whirlwind of disappointments and has left me bitter and dumbfounded at the direction the game has taken in this short period of time.

I guess this means the end of twitch streams of live Starladder events.

Changes to the payments section of the game (Updated on July 31)
swede1 replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
LOL Semyon, Granted, that post may have been geared to provoke discussion. I'm sure players have nothing to do with the economic difficulties within the organization, English or Russian beyond the fact that players aren't buying in the volume or numbers they used to. It did clear one thing up for me though. The international and not the RU community is the bread and butter of Tankis economy thus the hugh impact to the game economy, by lowering cost to international players. This is the issue. Why are players not buying? It has very little to do with in-game economy, players have fewer crystals than ever in their garages, so it has nothing to do with scarcity of game currency. It has everything to do with aggressive blackhat marketing strategies, which hurt the relationship between players and game platform. Further to the heavy marketing strategies, including unrealistic expectations set by the developers in regards to advancement in the game through gameplay. It also has to do with placing important updates on the back burner and/or scraping them all together such as Kick2, training more Game Violator mods, and tools for those mods to do their job effectively. And finally, the massive contradictions and uncertainty in the future of the game. This has caused the biggest problems, if players no longer feel ownership they will inevitably not invest in a product.
