I would much prefer Thunder, but the problem is that the m3 is available at a low rank, so it may be a waste. I think I will just get the m2, then move on to a different turret later.

Actually, I prefer attacking best, but midfield would probably be a near second for me, because I could stop flags, aid flag captures, and even attack if there is a good opportunity. Hammer would be good with when attacking, but it depends on the map too; I may as well just use Firebird for that. Also, heavier hulls would pair well with Hammer (and Firebird, sometimes), but all I have other than Hornet is m1 Viking. Unless I am charging into a base in Noise, then Hornet should be enough to keep me going. I hope.

The problem I have with Hammer is that it isn't really very ranged at all. I know it can, and does, do well, but I wanted a turret with more range. If you think I'm making a mistake, could you tell me why? Thanks. Edit: One reason why I don't really want short range is because I already have m2 Firebird.

Yeah, true, although every m2 turret would be better than the m1. The problem is that m3 thunder unlocks at a very early rank, so it may not be worth buying the m2. I just wanna know if it would be good through all the m2 ranks, and into the m3s.

True, it does unlock early. However, the Thunder m2's damage is still pretty good. I do not want m2 Railgun, because the stock version cannot "one-shot-kill" a slightly MU'd m1 Hornet, let alone an m2 Hornet. I do not want to spend time micro-upgrading, plus, with the new system, it would be much more expensive to do so. One other point against railgun is that everyone seems to have it, so I simply don't want it because of that. Smokey is good, but I don't have the time to rank up three more times before Christmas time. I cannot afford it without a sale. If I do not buy Thunder, then what can I get? Nothing else is close to my rank, except for Railgun, Hammer, and Ricochet. Can people tell me if m2 Thunder still does well in the ranks before m3 turrets? I am pretty sure it does, but the confirmation would be good.

True, and I do love Hornet. I was never planning on completely trading it off for a different hull. It's just in some maps heavier hulls do best, i.e. Ping-Pong, Hill and Island; sometimes, the winner is the person with more health. On the subject of Thunder, do you reckon that I should buy it? I do well with Firebird, but it can only excel on some maps. Therefore, I want a long/medium range gun. As my previous post stated, I do not need to pay for Firebird, so I am not really wasting crystals on a purchase, I am just buying something different. I think I agreed with every single point, except the game console/monthly subscription one. I don't tend to desire games/consoles as much as you pointed out. I really want Tanki to bring back those score multiplier passes. I never tended to use them, but recently I decided to buy one, and it was a great help. At the moment, I especially need them, because I want to rank before Christmas. I think I may be able to rank in time, but it won't be very easy. Again, great article.

Great article. The only thing I may point out is that cumulative damage weapons do not benefit from hiding behind things, unless they have a reload (shortest-range weapons, and possibly ricochet). Even if they do need to hide, chances are that the enemy is right behind you, because you were firing at them for a while to damage them sufficiently instead of a single shot, e.g. from Railgun. Again, good article, was very entertaining.

How long does Hunter m2 continue doing well, at my rank (e.g. how many ranks past Major)? Is Dictator M2 a good choice for me right now (same question as the above)? Should I wait one rank, then (try) to buy Mammoth m2? Is it better than the above hulls? Can people please give me their viewpoints on which hulls are best, and whether they stay effective in certain maps? I am thinking of pairing a hull with Thunder m2. Thanks.

Is that the Mammoth/Thunder kit? I think that that may be worth it, except it won't be for sale during the sales, so I won't be able to afford it, most likely. I may consider it, then. However, it is the lightest medium hull, so it may not have the protection I would like. Thanks very much for your responses.

Hello people. Since the newest update (micro-upgrades), I will be getting m2 firebird for free, as I had previously maxed out the reload speed. Technically, I have m2 Firebird right now. When I rank, I will just upgrade the looks, then maybe MU it a bit. As of right now, there is nothing I was planning to buy. During halloween, I bought m2 Hornet for 52k ( a waste, because I had maxed out the turning speed and therefore could have bought it for free after this update). I actually think that I will rank up before Christmas, giving me an extra 12k on top of my 104k that I have now. That makes 116k, plus all the crystals that I earn before I rank. I am happy with M2 Isida (already bought) and m2 Firebird as my short range turrets. However, I have zero long range turrets, unless you include m1 Smokey... I am thinking that I may want m2 Thunder, as I really enjoyed using it when I was starting this game, and on an alt account I have used it. It costs 110.5k, so at a 50% discount during Christmas (hopefully...) it would be 55.25k. If I get an extra 30k in battles before that time, then I will have about 91k remaining, after the purchase. I also would like a decent medium or heavy hull. At the moment, the only hulls I use are m2 Hornet and sometimes m1 Viking. If I buy m2 Thunder, I will definitely need one of those. I know that Mammoth is an option (when I rank), as is Hunter and Dictator. I don't really want the last two. Viking and Titan m2 are both 2 or 3 ranks away for me, so I cannot consider them. Could people give me some suggestions? I won't be buying railgun, as I don't think it is good enough for my rank unless I MU it. I am thinking similar things about Vulcan and Ricochet, and I don't really want Hammer much or Shaft. He was saying that both freeze and isida remove the burn effect from the tank you are attacking. Therefore, Firebird has less damage than Freeze in some circumstances.

Not quite with all updates; some changes include the removal of items. TO has now taken out all the experience passes. Only premium users get extra xp. This is a shockingly bad decision; the game will now be favoured towards the premium account users, and other people will struggle. I wanted to be Major before Christmas, now I probably won't make it, since my pass will run out in about ten days. Firebird M2 is disappearing from my sights... Unless I buy Firebird full price.

Did you say that Titan is stealthy? I disagree... I am very disappointed that TO has taken out all the experience passes. I'm glad I have one now, but it only lasts until the 18th of this month. I was hoping to rank up to Major before Christmas, but that probably won't happen now. Not fair. Premium users shouldn't have priority over non-premium. Twins with medium hulls (especially dictator) are always up the top. I still use firebird m1 (saving for m2) and m2 hornet, and I come first to somewhere in the middle depending on how many heavy/medium hulls are in the battle. Use whatever you are most used to, except shaft, I think.
