Any discount would be nice. I'm only really interested in getting M1 Hunter if the sale is less than 50% (M2s are often too expensive to buy outside of a 50% sale).

Cedar does the same thing in terms of Thunder protection, but it's cheaper. The Freeze protection on Cedar probably would come in handy though. It also looks great.

Hm? Why? Smoky and Thunder are some of the best M2s (Smoky in particular), but M2 Fire is almost at the same level. Is there something else you had in mind?

Good luck. M3 Hornet/Railgun is a great combination, and you get some useful paints as well.

M0 Shaft can only insta-kill Wasps, Hornets, and Hunters of the same modification. If you're using Hunter, lead paint will prevent you from being one-shotted. Anything above Hunter can sustain at least one Shaft hit. Also, Shafts are pretty easy to deal with if you use some strategy. Move when they're not looking at you, or just avoid their field of vision entirely. Sneak behind them (not too close or you might bump into mines) and hammer them with Ricochet. They won't stand a chance. Shafts were not a big problem for me when I was at your rank. You can't expect anything by running into their line of fire, so just use some strategy and you should be fine.

There is a difference between M0 and M1, but it's not that noticeable. You start to feel the difference at M2 and M3. I've tried M3 Smoky on the test server, and I can tell you it shoots a LOT faster.

Agh, didn't manage to rank up before the server restart. Ah well. I still got a good paint and a good turret for a very good price, so I'm not completely disappointed. Besides, this might be a blessing in disguise; if there's a sale on Halloween, I'll have plenty of crystals to spend (41,163 at the time of writing). :)

OK, update. I have 7105 XP left to go. M1 Isida is alright, but of course not a huge improvement on M0. I'm mostly using it for healing. Alien is proving to be very useful right now. It looks alright (red blotches on a black background).

I'm at 8743 XP left to go now.

9353 XP left until I rank. My plan is this: 1. Play as much as possible until server restart. 2. After server restart, grab Alien and M1 Isida. 3. Play with that until I rank up. 4. Once I rank up, grab M2 Isida.

You're not on the right thread. In the future, questions like this should be in the Questions and Answers thread in the FAQ section. You can't make an account on the test server unless it's open testing. It's not open testing right now, so I wouldn't bother.

Not always. I was in a game with a few of my friends and SmexyGiraffe in a Desert DM a few months ago (this was before the drug update, so there were plenty of druggers out there). A large proportion of the players in the battle had M2s and were drugging heavily. SmexyGiraffe was using M1 Hornet/M1 Shaft, I think, and didn't use that many supplies. She still managed to do very well in the battle, keeping a good D/L and body count.

I wouldn't say that. There are quite a few players (@SmexyGiraffe comes to mind) who use Shaft as an offensive weapon; they move around with light hulls and quick snipe people who come in their way. That method is actually exceptionally hard, so people who do well with it must be doing something right. SmexyGiraffe's also pretty handy with a Railgun as well, so her skills do not appear to be dulled whatsoever by her use of Shaft.

If you want utter destructive power, go for M2 Firebird. If you want a more balanced loadout that's still very effective with drugs, get M2 Isida. It seems like you've been waiting for M2 Firebird for a long time, though, so I say you go for it. You already have M2 Isida on Vette.

5th! Great update! Gold boxes were fairly easy to miss before. I haven't seen the new supplies, but anything that makes them more user-friendly is nice.

Smoky has a faster fire rate at each modification. My best guess is that the reloading speed gets better the more you MU the damage.

Score multiplying pass is off the table, since I would not be able to buy M2 Isida if I bought it, which defeats the point. I don't have M1 Hornet or a Pro Battle Pass, so XPs are also off the table. For now, I'm playing longer games to rack up more XP. Once the sale starts, I can get M1 Isida and try to rank up ASAP.

There's 11k XP left before I rank. Do you think it's possible for me to rank to 1st Lieutenant by Saturday so I can get M2 Isida?
