It's even more touching when you see a movie filmed in NYC that showed the twin towers in the scenes.

The new "buy at your rank" really blows for everyone who had to pay for every level of upgrade from M0>M3. And it's a shame it wasn't implemented before Tanker's Day. Or was it carefully calculated to come out afterwards in order to squeeze more crystals out of people?
-
So did the rest of them.
-
Yeah, but, if you don't have enough crystals you can buy more. None of those Minecraft servers requires a penny from players, and, playing the mini-games rewards you with a similar in-game currency similar to other F2P games such as WoS, WoT, etc. Just like Tanki those coins/gems can also be converted over time to ranks and other items - whether a person directly pays for them or earns them is irrelevant to the sales.
-
Do you honestly believe anyone to expect you pay such a high rate to exchange dollars or euros for rubles that everyone outside of the RF must pay a ridiculous premium for crystals? This isn't 1980 when the Soviet Union was isolated from the world and the ruble then was completely worthless outside of the USSR.

I remember 9-11. I was on my way to work and happened to catch the news before leaving - I stared at total disbelief at what I saw - almost as if it was some kind of joke. We closed for that day and many people I knew at the time stayed home. There was a lot of anger and fear that day and the following weeks and months. However, if you let terrorists control your fear and your life then they have won. Two weeks after 9-11 I was on a plane to Asia. I wanted to show the world that Americans do not hide in fear and that despite their best attempt the terrorists would not stop me.

It's not a question of whether it is possible or not, but, whether they are willing. If it is not "possible" is it because of true technical reasons, or, because they claim it is impossible but really choose to do it for economic reasons?

The most recent V-LOG stated two things of concern: a side-by-side version of Flash and Unity and, second, a different economy. Read between the lines. Two versions of Tanki means two things: one, transfers are highly unlikely, and, two: currency in one won't be worth the same as currency in the other. Both suggest that things are stacked against us in terms of garage and crystal balance. If two versions are available it means you can't play one and have your garage/crystals in the other. Get it now?

If sales are bad they should immediately stop the 75% discounts on drug kits. Right?
-
Um, they already said the economy will be different. If you buy crystals now it is highly unlikely you get a 1:1: exchange. So why take the risk considering the lies and disinformation of the past year? They simply cannot be trusted now. Unity will be the same awful imbalance now but with prettier graphics. That's it! Nothing to get excited about. It will be the same druggers, the same 10 versus 3 rounds, the same buggy brown screens of death and random self-destruct for no reason. The same laggy game play where you randomly drop flags for no reason, and, the same hackers who you cannot kill despite half of your team pounding them with DD.
-
Except that in the past year they have lied and removed things from the game which make the game less fun and create more imbalance. The score cap was the latest in this nonsense. They gave 50% off because of Star Ladder and back in June yet give lower discounts on what is supposed to be an important military holiday in Russia? Seems a bit dishonorable to me.

Yes, you are correct - the turret (or hull or paint) is discounted individually in the subtotal, then, an additional kit discount applied. My post up above is wrong.
-
Nope. Just purchased Isida M3 @ 40% off.
-
Also if you see something in a kit it is NOT discounted twice - the Vandal kit costs exactly the same as it did one hour ago - the upgrade to Twins M3 included in the kit is the same price as buying Twins M3 alone. It is not 40% off and 40% off on Twins again. Whoever posted that the sale price applied to kits as well was wrong.
-
Absolutely. Supplies are the biggest profit maker because they get used up. So it seems illogical that they would have the largest discount of any item - if it were up to me the tanks would be cheap and the supplies expensive - to create that demand. It's the same reason why a Coke and fries at /\/\ or Coke and popcorn at the movies are hideously expensive. Sad thing is that any fully upgraded M3 gives you barely 2x the power or protection of any M1 turret or hull. Yet you pay almost 50x more for that fully upgraded M3+ than you did for M1. The other guys sell their tanks or ships for about $50 with kits of supplies or currency ranging from $5 to at most $99 - and from time to time they have smaller discounts - I was looking today and the discounts range from 5% - 8%. But you don't need much of a discount during their sales because what they offer isn't very expensive in the first place.
-
In my case with the last sale I had both strikes against me: I was on vacation, and, I was at the wrong rank (I don't recall if I had hit Brigadier yet so I don't even think Isida M3 was available to me at the time). My plans for this sale would have been Isida M3 and Viking M3 along with a better paint. Now because of the lower discount I have to settle on not getting the paint I wanted. That extra 10% discount on all 3 would have allowed me to reach my goal.
-
Also all of you saying "Deal with it!" Well, here's the problem. Your rank and amount of crystals are different at each sale. I wasn't a Marshall when the June sale took place, so, the things I want now were not available to me when items were 50%. Also for whatever reason some people just aren't able to be online when a particular sale takes place. Also, if the "economy" is damaged by sales WHY ARE DRUG KITS 75% OFF all the time??? This is 420,000 crystals' worth of drugs for 75% off. The garage price of all those supplies is more than any M3 turret or hull. So it's OK to have 75% off on drugs all the time but we have to "suck it up" when a once per year sale is lower than last year? It just clearly shows how little people really understand the problem here.
-
Here's a scenario. Consider we both have Twins and Viking M1. At your rank both open up to M2. At mine both are available at M3. You cost: 231,000 My cost: 685,000 At 50%: You pay: 115,000 I pay: 342,000 At 60%: You pay: 138,600 I pay: 411,000 Difference: You: 23,600 Me: 69,000 This is why you and others at lower ranks care less about what the sale really is as it doesn't impact you that much at all.
-
They said that about the "equalization" of the cost of payments for crystals WRT people paying in rubles and the rest of the world. "It will take time" - kind of reminds me of the initials for college degrees: AS, BS, MS, and PhD. :D
-
I can't believe you actually fall for that "game balancing" and "game economy" nonsense. They gave away 4 billion crystals after Star Ladder. And you take the phrases "game economy" and "balance" seriously?
-
If you price your water too high and nobody is buying it then there's no point to selling water is there? Besides you are proving my point - it is much easier to get people to spend smaller sums of money than larger ones. The tanks at high ranks here are $700. In other online games tanks cost $50. Who do you think makes more sales and more profits?
-
The fact that the point is totally lost on you gives me a great indication of your age.

I know quite a bit about capitalism. True story. A long time ago I managed a location for a national US pizza chain. The owner had a $5.99 carryout and he decided to do away with it because he wanted people to get deliveries instead. I told him it was a major mistake - but he failed to listen. His thinking was that if he got rid of that and went to the regular price he would double his money AND increase delivery sales (since $5.99 was 50% the price of a delivered pie). When he got rid of the $5.99 carryout then sales tanked (no pun intended) and there was no increases in delivery sales. People were angry. Carryout sales plummeted from $2000 per week to less than $100. Now, a large 1 topping pizza cost $1.25 to produce (food and labor included). So, for him, earning $4.74 wasn't good enough - he wanted more. As a result he ended up getting nothing. He lost money and made customers angry. It took a long time to recover carryout sales after that (I finally convinced him to return back to the original $5.99 price). Here's "capitalism" for you: $4.74 in your pocket is better than $0 in your pocket. In other words: if people are angry with a 40% discount then Tanki earns NOTHING. $0. You don't pay the bills by pissing people off and subsequently causing them to put their wallets away. At 50% off people are happy and probably will spend real money to buy crystals. Something of something is better than all of nothing. That's capitalism.
-
How many people would have bought crystals for a 50% off sale versus those who won't because it's a 40% off sale? There's your capitalism too. :)
