On those naps you will need a lot of Thunder and Rail protection, maybe shaft too but Viking can take a shaft shot and still make a kill before the shaft reloads. That and shafts are virtually nonexistent at high ranks. Go with good Thunder and Rail protection in that order. You can check the paint table yourself for which one suits you best.

I very rarely see Rico pros. I very rarely see Ricos other than myself. At M2 it is a very underused turret. I think it is both overlooked and seen as weak. Most folks seem to want the widespread damage of firebird or the one shot goodness offered by Rail and Thunder. Or the infinite ammo of Twins. The prob with Twins though is that you need a fast hull or else your enemy will escape. Folks forget that each Rico discharge while not lethal packs a punch in both damage and impact. Plus it does not reduce damage at range. And of course you can bounce shots!!!! Right now I am alternating between M2 Rico and M3 Hanmer depending on map and enemy paints. I'm not really interested in XT equipment. Same specs, different looks? Meh. 500k crystals??? LOL!

Mainly because there is no reload. Thus you don't really need the DD drug only DA. With a medium hull you are unstoppable. Edit-but tanks CAN outrun you.

This gun is great at ALL mods. But it just takes skill to master. Not quite as much skill as a Rail but this is easily the second most difficult turret in the game.

Drugging isn't quite as bad now as it was after missions were introduced. But it's still pretty rampant in M2 and M3 battles. I drug when I have to, but I usually don't. Crystal missions became frequent for a few days before the MU sale but now are gone again, back to supplies only. Consequently I have 500+ of most supplies and around 100 repair kits. Still I SMH whenever I see a tank spawn and immediately pop DD.

VirusDragon and Vampire_Medic must be very close in rank. We've probably been in the same battles. Vampire kit is great but I'm worried that the Wasp isn't tough enough. I feel like I die more now than when I was playing with Hornet M0. I checked the numbers though and Wasp M1 has more armor than Hornet M0. It took me awhile to figure out why I am dying more now.... But the reason is enemy tanks INTENTIONALLY target Wasps hoping for an easy kill. That's why I am dying more now. I'm being targeted. And you know... Stinger kit is just a few levels away... ;)

The most obvious will be higher damage and faster reload time. If you get it early you will rule. This turret is very good for spoiling Thunder. You can always empty all three Hammer rounds before Thunder can get off a second (killing) shot.

If this game lasts long enough, I am going to start another alt and focus on Railgun. Might have to mount it on Dictator since that is the only hull I haven't really played with. Thoughts on this as a combo?

Not sure about Titan because I've rarely used it and only have it M0. I only test drove a Dictator M2 and wasn't that impressed. Bingo on Viking though... Epic hull. Get it. Put Twins or Rico on it. You will be crazy powerful on the battlefield.

Yes. Both help. Constant fire weapons like Fire, Isida, and Vulcan require higher percentage protection though.

Yeah, me too. ;) Thunder needs to NOT have self damage. The slow reload time is penalty enough at close range. This would eliminate snuggling, and countless self destruct penalties. The self destruct penalty also needs to go. The loss of play time while re spawning and hit to your DL ratio is punishment enough.

Both are good with Rico. Hunter loses maneuverability on nitro due to the skid, so it can't corner to save its life. That is a serious problem for CTF and other attack/defense situations where speed and precision are needed.

Snagged a gold box last night so I bought the Vampire kit and changed to all M1 equipment right in the middle of the battle. The tankers were already angry at me for taking the gold box, and they freaked out when I self destructed with M0 Isida-Hornet and reappeared wearing M1 Isida and M1 Wasp and Mary. Then there was running and screaming as I ripped through the battlefield.

Hammer? Really? I can't remember the last time I saw more than two Hammers in a battle.

There is only one M3 Ricochet kit, Redneck, which comes with Hunter M3. I dislike Hunter, so I'm hoping for another high unlock M3 hull like Dictator or Mammoth mike get a Rico kit. M3 version of Boar would be epic!

Isida and Twins - Swash early, then Electra Fire and Rico, buy Loam

Rico packs quite a wallop! I've learned the hard way not to approach Rico tanks head on unless I'm using something like Hammer or my own Rico to knock off their aim.
