Some players have access to the Spectator mode, which is what you described there. You can read some detailed information about it here. These rights are handed out pretty restrictively as far as I know. Cedric said, that spectator applications are closed at the moment.

I wonder if it's a problem for Vulcan players equipped with Faster horizontal tracking (M1 alt.) to shoot from the lower floor to the upper level. Is it low enough for shooting up to it? Has anybody tested this? If it's no big thing for it, then the M1 alteration seems to be perfect for this map.

Of course you can, it will stay in your garage.

Patch Update #430 - New Striker turret, new Alterations and decorations

Well you will probably need Striker modules to have a protection against Striker Self Damage. -
So do you like your new Titan?
-
If you have crystals for it, then M2 alt. of course. It's a lot better than stock Firebird.

To me it is a bit weird, that Striker has a laser aim for precision and splash damage. The one thing is for precision and the other for areal bombardment... imo it should be possible to launch a salvo against a wall and such things, in order to use the splash damage more effectively. But we could also watch out for this when we have a guided mode in a Striker alteration. -
It would make Vulcan acting like a CIWS :P

Hammer is a short-ranger so we don't include the reload for it into the DPS measure. Hammer M3 with 0/50 and M2 alt. equipped deals a damage of 4515 with its five shots (no drugs) and it takes ~8.2 secs to shoot it. 4515 / 8.2 = 553 DPS, this is lower than the standard Hammer M3 (which has 664), because it needs only 2 shot reloads to deliver 3 shots, whereas the alt. needs 4 reloads for 5 shots. If we included the magazine reload into all calculations, then they both have the same dps of ~325. When you take 325 times 60 sec. then you have the DPM number for it.
-
Yes, you're right and thank you for the corrections. The 2 null shots directly after a critical shot are not part of the max. 5 shot sequence (which adds prob. for it with each shot). I thought otherwise before... Thank you for pointing this out. Yes, the Smoky player will suffer more when they're attacking from distance and having the M2 alt. equipped. I don't think that they will buff this alteration, because they have aligned it to Thunder's M2 alt., which has about the same dps numbers. Then they would need to adjust also Thunder's alt., but they already nerfed it a bit (5 % less damage), when the rebalance was introduced.

You can buy all alterations, but you can equip only one alteration per M level, which means that you have to decide which of the Rail M2 alts. you want to use.

Thanks a lot for all the explanations! :) That helped indeed and it sounds reasonable. Edit: I deleted numbers that were based on wrong assumptions here...

I think you can calculate the discount this way: Discount in % = 50 % + (50% * 30%) = 65 % Price = 1 - 65 % = 35 % Item with 200k price = 200k * 35 % = 70k

Well let's see how the Wiki editors will clarify it
-
I'm asking that myself too :) MUs or Slugger?
-
:D That's a third way of understanding it :) The thing is that they talked about an energy increase so it must be >1000. If it was like you described it, it is only a disadvantage. In the wiki this entry is marked as an advantage tho.
-
The Isida M2 alteration talks about a +4 Sec. Energy capacity. Am I right, when I assume that the energy amount then has +400 Energy (1000 + 400 = 1400) and it does not take 4 seconds longer to consume it (it's only 3.6 seconds then, because of 1400 / 111 = 12.61 sec.). If it would be a + 4 seconds longer consumption time (9.01 + 4 = 13.01), then the total Energy amount would be 1444 (13.01 * 111 = 1444). So it would be less ambiguous if you can rephrase or attach an explanation that it is not +4 sec. Energy capacity, but a +400 Energy Amount, as the Energy Amount parameter is not measured in seconds.
-
Maybe that will come with the M3 alteration. The M2 alt. focuses on healing power.
-
The Isida M2 alteration has a 23% higher healing capacity and 1% higher damage capacity compared to a stock Isida (I compared both full magazines). Also of course about a nearly doubled selfheal capacity. Well the question is if the Isida with the alteration will be able to survive long enough to empty out its magazine with the 4 sec longer consumption time. Edit: I had to correct the values due to a misinterpretation of the change.
-
No, the imbalance was less last year ^_^ It's unlikely that they will make structural adaptions to the map now, so the best option is to turn up the point gain rate for blue.
-
I just calculated Strikers damage per minute and its Salvo DPM (with around 34k) is 2nd behind Twins. The standard Twins has a DPM of 36k. All numbers are on M3 level. Edit: I corrected the values, because I misinterpreted the 0.7 delay time...
-
Actually I don't understand this, but that might be, because I already did not understand so much of the probability calculations in school :P How did you calculate the probability numbers of your first number block? I assume this number block should be applied when being freshly spawned, right (so no critical shot before)? Maybe some explanations would help  Did you mean in the 2nd number block i.e. with "2 = 25%" not the 2nd shot in general but every 2nd shot that have the potential to be a critical shot (which ignores the shots inbetween)?

Patch Update #430 - New Striker turret, new Alterations and decorations

No, when I got you right, you are mixing the critical chance with the increase of critical damage by the M2 alt. -
Of course, especially if you mount it on a heavy hull. And it's only 25k if you buy it at the discount day.
-
Yes and the range of minimum damage is doubled, so you can make more use of your faster projectiles -> more damage in the distance because the shots die out later.
