Yes I think it should sharpen their profile. So make the range smaller, deal a lot of damage in close range (Freeze still does, the plain 30% buff before was ridiculous regarding the balance tbh), widen the cone angle to hit more enemies in close range, higher weak damage (which mainly leads to more damage at the end of the range). Also only Freeze and Fire can influence the temperature of other tanks. Fire's direct damage on M4 was nerfed slightly from 760 to 700 and in lower M levels stronger. This is due to the buff of the afterburn damage. When you test Fire you can see that the afterburn damage value is obviously 300 per sec and it's the same over all the modification levels. A while back the wiki stated an afterburn damage of 30 per sec, but I don't know if there were changes in the meantime. On the other hand the burning time was cut in half on M4 level. Double damage does not affect the afterburn damage parameter (unlike DA) but it affects the heating rate. The change was announced in the last patch note. -

I don't think that raising the price tag is helping there much. Some people probably didn't know anything about the war, but liked the paint. Others might have been turned off by the big text explanations, lack of English skills to understand it or by the initial technical issues with the page. In free online courses rates of 50% and more are pretty common too, there those people are called no-shows, because they register but never visit. A higher price might bring a better no-show rate, but can also lead to less active players in the event overall.

From my point of view it doesn't make sense to refuse to nerf Freeze, as it is wrong from multiple points: the relation between dealing damage and freezing effect was already bad, now it is much worse; Freeze is unbalanced compared to other close range turrets (isida and esp. Fire) and when comparing guns, it is unbalanced vs nearly all other guns. Doubling afterburn damage might help, but I don't think that this will be sufficient vs Freeze. Anyway I think we should conduct some tests if and how drugs affect afterburn damage or temperature effects. -
He won't get Wasp XT from a container, he can only get the Wasp XT skin. Skins have no influence on the modification levels.

A couple of good updates, but I don't like the change to gifts as I think there could have been a better solution.

Hmm I think it's not possible to hit a fast moving tank that is nearby with an auto-aimed shot. Some shots are auto-aimed, some are not. If I had 3 enemy tanks within the auto-aim angle I wouldn't bother much, as long as the shots are auto-aimed. To have a good accuracy you need the auto-aim. Imho this angle should be wider. Anyway, I bet we need to wait for a Striker alteration that gives us either faster missiles or a better auto-aim. Money rulez B)

Imho buffing the auto-aim parameters is still the best option for Striker. Damage wouldn't make sense, it already has more than enough of it. Mainly the arcade mode needs to be more effective. When playing with Striker I was the most effective with Titan as it is more stable platform to shoot from and accuracy is key.

Yes, I think besides Freeze in open maps it's often Striker and Shaft (esp. those kill stealers with heavy capacitors).

I hugely underrated Smoky's M2 alteration, but the number of shots are more important. One-/two-shotting Wasps and Hornet with DD is fun :D Two-shotting a viking with DD on an undrugged Viking is not rare too. It kinda is like a mid-range Hammer.

I like the concept of the first Magnum alteration. It would make it more beneficial to be a skilled player, so when you have an exact aim, it is easier to hit moving targets. You could add more projectile speed to it, to make up for the loss of splash imho. To the 2nd one: I don't think that it is very playable, as the changes in numbers are too strong. It would feel like there is practically no splash damage at all. People would abuse it too by only shooting in a direct mode (100 % power and at 0° angle) to oneshot heavy tanks with double damage. This is similar to the idea that fully upgraded items should get a different design, Maf mentioned it is rather unlikely that it will happen.

Yes, you might be right. It may need some more cutdown on the damage. We could consider inflicting self-damage due to rebounces as well tho (like Rico). I haven't calculated it through but I think the dps should be around in the middle between Rico and Twins. Twins needs more damage because its aiming is less exact compared to Rico. But it would be fun in the total chaos of shot bounces :D

Well, earlier they talked about a rating or ratio. When devs were answering questions to it, they said, that it's not about the efficiency rating but it's another rating system. The most recent hint on this I know of is in Vlog 172 where they were very vaguely talking on its role of indirectly influencing the team balance.

I think that, as long as there is a need to download in Tanki X, it is not able to replace Tanki Online.
