Thank you for your articulate and stirring post...you are a very good writer and expressed how I feel so very well. I am a noob in comparison to you, but I still loved playing this game...I wish I had known about it years ago, but I got in on only a few months of "the good old days". Tanki was so much FUN before the paint separation update (not that it in itself was a bad update, but that seems to be the beginning of Tanki's deterioration). Now, to me, playing Tanki seems tedious with big dollop of frustration...almost no fun....so sad. I spend only a small fraction of the time playing Tanki that I used to. With the latest update and in dread of the coming updates, I plan on weaning myself away completely There is a bright side to this depressing turn of events in Tanki. I used to spend an inordinate amount of time in the game. Now I (we) will have all that time for other pursuits. Hopefully those new pursuits will be more fruitful than the hours and hours spent (wasted) playing Tanki. Again, thank you for taking the time to express how I feel so well...best of luck to you.

Thank you for your articulate post. It makes me feel less angry that people that have been in the game so long and have such a broad overiew are as disgusted with the changes as I am. I feel less like a whining complainer. It is so very sad what they have done to my favorite game.

Remember when Tanki said the Battle Button was needed for the newbies because they hard a hard time finding a battle...the Battle Button simplified finding a battle instead of the horror of trying to choose a battle from the battle menu? Now we have dozens of protection modules, supply indicator noises and lights, OD and more ODs to be associated to it's own hull...but all this crap is OK...and not over the top for the poor lost noobs. I miss the old Tanki...the real Tanki not today's pathetic drug-frenzied neo-tanki.

Gosh I wish I could be positive about an update for once like the chirpy helmed icon mods, but this coming batch of ODs for hulls sounds just awful. One poster said it perfectly..a flustercluck. Who comes up with this malarky? Good lord! And on top of this repellent revelation concerning hull ODs, we will eventually have to deal with the Matchmaking system! I think the writing is on the wall and it may be time to wean one's self away from Tanki. What an absolutely illogical business model: Take something that is working and keep changing it until it doesn't work anymore....Tanki and Neo-Tanki.

To kick off Neo-Tanki's horrendous supply usage push, they have a weekend giveaway with outrageous limits...LOWEST limit is 400 kills in two days. Sure it can be done, but WHY? 3 gold boxes would be great to have but the expenditure of suplies in this drug-fest environment is just not worth it...at least for me. Others, have at it and enjoy, I can't handle the ferocity. ...and 2000...yikes! Remember when players used to complain about supplies in never ending whines about "druggers...bad, bad" What was Tanki to do since supplies are one of it's golden sale items? 1. Increase the amount of free supplies so players hoard their supplies less...more supplies; more supply use. 2. Force everyone into non-createable Standard Battles to do Daily Missions (players main source of income)...gotta, get ...this flag....awww, what the hell, ""Repair Kit"" and, misssion complete...collect reward. 3. End the stigma of "Drugger...bad...bad" Tanki, "Hmmmm, tough one...Overdrive! oh, oh, ...and we can put lights and sounds on current supplies as advertising to use supplies! ...They'll never know what hit'em!" A player now gets popped in the face with a light-show EVERY time he re-spawns....that is THOUSANDS of color reinforcement for "YOUR DRUGS ARE READY>>>USE THEM" and the light-show comes with distracting SOUND TOO! You think it is distracting by accident? It is designed to keep you slightly off balance, uncomfortable, and reminded of "DRUG, DRUG, DRUG". You get a cacophony of sounds and light-show for each time you pick up a drop box on/off, activate one of your own supplies on/off...AND you get the sound of your fellow players when they drug up or spawn in...ON BOTH sides! It is an ORGY of sound and light proclaiming that supplies are there for your use. Supplies are at the forefront of sight and sound when you are supposed to be trying to kill that annoying deadly little Smoky/Wasp. Everyone will use more drugs now...yes, EVERYONE. You won't hear, "#$%$# drugger noob" anymore when you hit that repair kit. Those days are over, watch and see. ...and if you are the lone holdout and don't drug, even your will power will crumble since you WILL use ORGYDRUG, opps, I meant overdrive. Hit Overdrive a few dozen times and hitting that rep kit doesn't seem as dramatic...and you have so many of them compliments of generous Tanki. :) Drugging is the neo-Tanki. 4. Tanki: "OK, supplies are cool to use now and everyone has a bunch of freebies to get them started without being too painfull, what else?" Dork by the water cooler: "Oh, oh, oh...I know! I know!" "Cut the effectiveness of each supply!" "....oh, oh, oh, and let 'em activate concurrently!" Tanki: "Give that man a bonus! Double portions in the company restaurant!" Players: "but...but, I just bought a bunch of supplies to get the repair kits and now they are less than HALF as effective? That sucks, but what can I do about it? ...I'll whine on the TANKI forum and tell these Tanki %%@*-#^&* just what I think about their stupid update. ...oh yeah, Tanki doesn't give a crap...I forgot." Tanki: "And to celebrate your semi-forced use of drugs, we will have a WEEKEND GIVEAWAY, 2-3-1-OD...JUST DO IT. I will pass on the Weekend Giveaway. I would like to thank Neo-Tanki for NOT having increased Daily Mission Rewards (like cap 10 flags get a bazillion speed boosts) in honor of the Overdrug rollout...so hard to complete even before Overdrug debacle. A few likes (thanks), but...feel free to agree or disagree, I'd love to hear what you think about my post and the upcoming drug-fest giveaway (I will not be participating...too frustrating with all the whittles, bells, and massive supply use) Ninja, I really wanted the post shown...I am curious to know what people think about what I wrote...it took quite a bit of time. I kinda figured if silly pictures and gifs can keep showing up in semi-pointless posts, a post with lots of thought put into it and possibly thought provoking might be worth showing again, without a spoiler thingy (how do you put a spoiler in anyway, just type the code? -

The entire update is to advertise and thereby sell Tanki's biggest revenue source...SUPPLIES. This weekend giveaway is to kick off the massive drug usage in a big way....2000 big to be specific...drug-up Neo-Tankers! ...and kill for hours and hours! Drop the golds you win when I'm in the game please. Look at what Tanki sells in the shop: crystals premium supplies kits paints gold boxes (gone from the shop)(?why?) pro passes (gone from the shop) Crystals are probably the real money engine and many of those sold get turned into supply kits by the purchaser. Premium (cards?) are sold to double players crystal income, increase xp, get daily crystals and supplies. Supplies themselves are probably the next biggest seller I'm sure they sell a few kits now and then and everyone has seen how many shop paints are in the field...I can't imagine why they stopped selling gold boxes. It must not have worked well. So players use their crystals for equipment, kits, MUs, and SUPPLIES...ok, and a few icon gifts. Equipment and upgrades take most of the crystals, but eventually you get the Tank(s) you want. The only real expendable commodity is supplies and it is an open ended source of income for Tanki from EVERY player FOREVER. I can't beleive that there are still people saying that this will reduce drug use! Holy cow, it is a drug ORGY out there in battle land. I have NEVER seen the like. In every battle I have joined, you can't find a tank on either side that does not have some supply icon lit. There is no driving, maneuvering or stratigizing...it is just hack n bash...2-3-1 maybe 4, an occasional 5 (no 6s sadly) then that OverDrug...I mean Overdrive. A ruined game. Sure people will still play...I will, but not as many, not as much, or not as often...and all with less zeal. This has become a childs game with little need of developed skills...get yourself a Firebird, hit that #3 and away you go (for 2 seconds). Tanki did this to sell more supplies/crystals...They do not care about what you care about.

Overdrive is really fun for a weekend of special event. It is HORRIBLE and a complete game changer as a permanent feature. What can you people be thinking? Just leave the game alone...your player base keeps getting smaller and smaller. It is not that Tanki is Flash, or has run it's life expectancy, or even superior competition from other games....it's that you *$F%8*$* developers keep making such radical (and foolish) changes to the game. What rational person would send in serious money other than a buck or two for a game that might be essentially a different game next week? If you buy something it might be changed into trash with the next update. I spend about 90% less time playing Tanki now than I did previously. My kid doesn't play at all anymore, she got tired of never knowing what was going to change next and the mission update killed any desire she had to play. We can't be the only people like this...I would guess there are more people like us than newly generated players from Steam and Mini-Clip, etc. ...and yet the administration keeps right on changing and changing. The dread Matchmaking will undoubtedly be the real downfall that will break Tanki's back and send the number of players below 20,000 at peak play times. Roll back some of these ill conceived updates. Read the forum to find out which updates are disliked by players. Take a survey with well thought out questions. Stop trying to do what the hell ever it is you are trying to do by constant game changes. Fix Tanki and make it fun again.

Do you admin folk actually think this matchmaking system will ATTRACT new players...that it will IMPROVE the game? Your numbers are falling...I would venture to guess your income is falling too even though you are now exposed on Steam and Mini-Clip. Matchmaking will make Tanki's downward slide worse. I foresee long waits to join a battle that terminates quickly when the losing side bails out. I am so glad I didn't send in the $220 I was going to pay for my daughter's account and mine. Had Tanki remained the same as it used to be, with Standard Battle creation, I would have funded these two accounts (maybe more since I have two other kids) very generously. GTA is $150 for the game and a mega-curency-card; taking my kid to a movie and a pizza is an easy $50 to $60 and that is only four hours of entertainment! We used to play Tanki together and have a blast....for hours and hours and days and days...$500 would be CHEAP entertainment if Tanki could be relied upon. The constant changes have made my daughter quit playing completely. I only do a mission a day and quit. Matchmaking will make Tanki a game to log in, kill a bit, and quit...no mission chains, no drive to upgrade or rank-up, nothing to spend real money on, just a time waster. What a shame you keep ruining the game an update at a time. Sorry to hog the thread, but I'm angry and writing is cathartic.

So you admin saboteurs ruin the game for everyone to stop a few (hell, maybe thousands...what does it really matter) power levelers. This is throwing the baby out with the bath water. THINK a tiny bit.

After watching the last Vlog, in consideration of the last six to eight months of updates, and the general direction Tanki Online has been taking, someone needs to get fired...maybe several people. Do the people who control the money not see what "developers" (poor term) are doing to the game? I predict the 45,000 (approx) players at prime time now will drop to below 30,000 if matchmaking is implemented. The amount of players has consistently been dropping as new updates were released. Does no one in administration see a correlation??? Tanki needs to revert to letting us create fixed Standard Battles and Pro Battles with variable parameters. We need to be able to do Daily Missions in either type of battle. Developers (this term is just wrong) should be less concerned about players "cheating" and concentrate on creating a game that runs smoothly and generating NEW players to fill Tanki's decimated player ranks. To save Tanki before it tanks (haha) the culprits in charge of "development" need to be fired or change job descriptions.

Is there ANYONE that thinks Tanki has been improved with all the updates? Or is Tanki a less fun game than it was say a year or even six months ago (pre paint separation)? Developers, that is an important question. Your future hinges on that question...free players and buyers alike will base their future buying decisions on that particular question. You need new players (free players) to generate new buyers, old buyers to stay buyers, and a big part i think you are missing is converting the myriad of current free players into buyers, not running them off by gutting the game or making it frustrating to play. Tanki should be fun to play, not a grind. I think administration is getting very bad employee input and making terrible decisions based on that ignorant input.

I'm sick of this crap. You greedy fools have ruined something that I really enjoyed...Tanki. You have turned this game into a frustrating unskilled frantic struggle to push 2 or 3 and time 1 properly. What utter crap! The list of things that are wrong with Tanki are too numerous to go into in depth or even to list but I will hit on a few: 1. Mission update needs to be removed. It's made everything about drugs and there are no battles anymore. Missions take up too much time. There is no time to play in pro battles and the standard battles are just drug fests with players focusing on their daily mission instead of the games objective. Besides uber-druggers, the standard battles are also packed with chatters, box collectors, mults, apathetic players, lame players, hackers, and other Tanki vermin. 2. Rank brackets are too weighted to the top end (they go way too far down the scale) I am 19 and play against 30, new M2 vs M3/M4...this has nothing to do with Tanki's precious "balance". It's like me (19) going against rank 8...M2 vs M0 or new M1...RIDICULOUS! 3. Critical Error, that happened to me once a week, has been replaced with "server error", "re-enter the game", some other "death error" message that happen 2-3 TIMES A DAY, and now the client sometimes locks my entire computer so I must re-boot. 4. LA G LA GL AG L It's getting so bad...I spend trillions of drugs to get to #1 against tanks 11 levels higher than me and the game crashes or the lag ruins my standing. Anything that makes a person want to smash their computer is not a good thing. 5. I'm sick of playing on maps I don't really like. But I must to do missions and then I don't feel like playing on good maps because I'm pissed off from my mission battles. 6. I'm tired of never knowing which turret will be the darling turret of the update silliness. Tanki's schizophrenic "balance' started this whole downward spiral and has continued to foul up all MU plans and battle strategies. Turret X nerfed...turret X buffed...turret X nemesis turret buffed...just leave the damn game ALONE! 7. General malaise at not knowing what is going to happen next to the game...will Hazel-Rah decide that there should be a random tank destruction every fifth kill in a game...boom, you dead, no reason. Because he has PLAYED many games, will his expertise help him to create an "immortal" protection module (for only 350 Euros). The mind boggles when even considering the silly ways Tanki might get screwed up next. 7A. I had to complain about all the administrators smarmy spins and tortured rationalizations...give us a break and tell it like is really is instead of "We are gouging out your eyes so now you will never be bothered by those pesky bright lights that you complained about or have to wear glasses! Isn't that great news! We have improved you and made you a happier person!". Barf. 8. I'm unhappy about feeling frustrated and unhappy every time I finish playing a game I play to have FUN...just twisted. 9. I'm tired of complaining about Tanki (even though the list could go on and on) I would send Tanki real money (I was planning $200 around the paint seperation) if I knew what the game was going to be in a week, month or a year, but not with the horrors that the administration saddles the players with. It is not acceptable to buy a car that has leather seats standard and is delivered with cloth seats...because cloth is now our standard...refund, return, or lawsuit would be in order. If I buy a turret that preforms in a certain way, that's what I want...not what Tanki changes it into as they see fit. I want what I pay for...pretty basic. As I vent here (I know that this is just a cathartic waste of bandwidth since admistration will never bother reading it...just another whine amonst a hundred thousand other complaints), I'm pretty much done with Tanki as it is now. I will continue to look in on the Forum in case the administration comes to its senses, but I'm taking a Tanki break for a few months at least. What a shame...and shame on you administrators that have let fools ruin a good game...and I bet your revenue hasn't increased at the bottom line a bit...what a waste.

If I buy a turret that performs in a certain way, that's what I want...not what Tanki changes it into as they see fit. I want what I pay for...pretty basic. As I vent here (I know that this is just a cathartic waste of bandwidth since administration will never bother reading it...just another whine amonst a hundred thousand other complaints), I'm pretty much done with Tanki as it is now. I will continue to look in on the Forum in case the administration comes to its senses, but I'm taking a Tanki break for a few months at least. What a shame...and shame on you administrators that have let fools ruin a good game...and I bet your revenue hasn't increased at the bottom line a bit...what a waste.

I don't understand why, but the contest starts 5 hours before the double battle funds kick in. Maybe this helps them with announcing the contest winners or some other tech issue in regards to the contest. It is very confusing for us mere mortals though...took me forever to convert UTC to my local time since I'm the next day many in many times. -

Because of the rank bracket increase, as a player of the 19th rank, it is almost impossible to even complete Daily Missions now since I must compete against drugging rank 31 to whatever (new M2 vs M4). I would love to get three gold boxes, but it would take a miracle or way too many hours...the battles are jus too unbalanced and I'm at the bottom. It was a nice gesture on Tanki's part, but too little Please remove the last update: enlarged rank brackets and daily missions only in non-pro battles. -
I sincerely hope Tanki keeps the "Space" theme permanently. It is almost the only good change I have witnessed in months worth of degrading updates. Space is positive and really fun...a bit silly, but a real blast...and the parkour possibilities are astounding. Finally a bone to the players! :) :) :) Good work Tanki...make positive changes a trend! :) :) :)
