It does look quite nice. Buying paints is a 'good sport' way to fund the company w/o buying yourself a combat advantage. But even had TO not alienated me in the past that's a bit too steep a price for 'chrome'. (Speaking for myself of curse. If you are happy with the purchase that is all that counts.)

I replied to a post referencing your post so as often happens in these threads information posted earlier is ,missed. If you have less fun using supplies then non using supplies is what you should do. But using drugs is not that same thing as pat to win. As I mentioned I have thousands of supplies and they are all from doing missions. As for Stiker I had a k/d of about 2.2 with that account at the 150,000 exp point mark. And I had not used any drugs up to that point. So I do not think Smoky is the key element here. The key element is your desired to do well w/o using supplies. I too like Smoky best FWIW. :) You make valid points but you go an adjective too far. "Easily" defeat drugers? No. You have to game-plan to defeat someone with 4 rimes your firepower and repair ability. And you better hope the drugger is one of the players who inspired this topic question. Fortunately they are not in short supply. The only thing I call out players on is, "Use the so-and-so Overdrives!". Only once did I address it to a specific tank. "You, brown Thunder, use the OD". I cannot fathom why players do not use them, even when flag/CP captures are at stake.

Well that is obviously a good player but this does not prove what you think it does. It does prove one player determined to play w/o drugs can do so. It does not prove that smoky negates drugging/ Does he play in pro no dug battles? I cannot tell. How much better well would he do with drugs? How would he do with a different turret? Maybe even better than with Smoky. His rating is good for his rank though. ----- I have played quite a bit in no-drug mode. When I started I tried to avoid drugging. Only after the triple missions did I start using htem like a "drugger". Awhile back (before OD) I just decided to go a week without using drugs. Sure it can be done. But you have to pick you moment, stay under cover, whittle down your foes, choose your moments much more carefully. It is very true that players get sloppy on full drugs many players let the drugs play for them. The notion that one turret can overcome a 4x multiplied (DA/DD) plus healing plus speed is simply not sustainable over the long-term. If playing no drugs is what a player finds fun that is great. But that same player would do better using his full range of assets. I noe have almost 2,000 RK and 5,000+ of all other supplies, all from missions. Why is not using these assets smart game play?

TheAncientMariner is correct. If Smoky w/o drugs allowed players to kills as often, stay alive as long, and score as many Cry as every other turret WITH drugs ... then what do you think would happen? What would happen is, everyone in Tanki would run a Smoky. And they would use drugs, thus making all 12 remaining turrets their cannon fodder. Th this claim were tru Smoky would be the most OP turret the game had ever seen. Anyone who wanted to play TO would have to buy one. I run not one but two Smoky accounts and both use the +impact ammo 98% of the time..

Gpsh I love Dictators and that big fat hit box. The dastardly ones are Vikings. I have sailed so many missiles over the low hull. But my reason for the reply is to try to help you out a bit. When I got Striker at first I went to Parma, In case I have the name wrong, I mean the big open map with the road around the perimeter and the lower area with wall segments in the center. Go on the road on one side and shoot single shots at enemies on the far side. If there are no enemies shoot at a chunk of wall. Shoot on the move and while maneuvering. Or aim for the post holding up a billboard. In short, do some time at the practive range. For moving targets the rule of thumb is, "lead them more than you think." :) Also, learn to aim at nearby walls or even the floor near the enemy. The enemy might move but that wall won't. Splash is your friend.

Hehe... some posters call Isida OP and want it removed from the game. Others call it a sitting duck. The reality is between the two. Isida is no sitting duck but it is a bullet magnet. Players know the priority to kill the isida. So Isidas attract more attention than other hulls. But Isidas also are a major benefit in team games. In DM Isidas can hold their own. In the 15 months I have been playing the current Isida design is the best design concept yet. Self-heal is absolutely not required. Battlefield awareness and quick decision making are.

In addition to connection drops / re-enter. And in addton to very long load times going to / from the Garage. In addition to all that the battle menu screen is WIGGING OUT. On the battle list screen the highlight cursor goes berserk. It jumps form game to game to game 2-3 times per second. It goes to game I have never clicked. It will not allow you to actually join a game because the right-side window does not update fast enough to match the jumping cursor. Mouse click do nothing. And TO wants me to spend money on this thing...

Yes, Striker is fun to play for me. It is sort of like shooting clay pigeons with a shotgun. you have to have a good eye to aim and to adjust for the parallax error form the offset L.R launch tubes. And you have to be able to lead a moving target. And few people expect you to get shot, whirl, and launch a missile up their gob in a split-second. Highly satisfying when you do that. :)

TAM, yes a buyer who buys a premium account every day they play or at least most of those days will have a higher C/e ration than if they had not bought all those premium days. But there is no way to look at a C/e ration and say that person is a buyer. (Also, premium accounts are totally neutral in game play. You get no combat advantage from having one active. They let you level faster, mostly. That is not what people are concerned about when they gripe about buyers. ) And yes sometimes I inadvertently use the term Pro Pass when I meant Premium pass. Too many P's. ;) Point being: Having one does not mean you paid currency for it. I won another Premium mission just last night. All it did for me was give me that 2,500 Cry + supplies reward. I might have played 10 minutes with it active. (Props for putting your Cry where your sentiments lie ... the 22 dislikes. LOL)

Sorry Sammy that is not how the law of probability works. You seem to already know that since you said "at least". But the correct answer is, "at least ZERO Gold Boxes will drop in any given game no matter how many Crystals are scored." That's on you dude. Why wuld you spend 35k to get a mission payout worth a fraction of that 35k, That is not Tanki's fault that is 100% on you.

I guess I did not page back upthread. I agree. I just do not understand why TO would make a holiday map for only one format. Not for a week-long period. If it was a one-day map that'd be another thing. But for over a week only one format makes no sense. That will get repetitive and dull. I do not understand and am not impressed ... but bottom line all that means is I won't play on the holiday map. I'll just do my normal missions and collect my weekly payoff.

You have just pointed out another reason why Magnum is the easiest most OP turret of them all. I say keep the camera adjustments and remove Magnum from the game. (I know that wil not happen.)

Just change out of the mission. You can do 5-10 normal missions in the same time it takes to do one holiday kill mission. At the end of the process you have about the same reward but less time wasted out of your life.

Well that shows how often I play DM. I did not know the holiday map was in play today because I never look for DM games in the battle list. So I just logged on to check that. Yep,tons and tons of DM games and that is it. What a farce. So one of two things will happen. A] Players will NOT get bored out of their frriggin skulls playing DM game after DM game after DM game on the holiday map. The holiday map will be filled all the days it is available. If so this will suck the players out of all the other game. It will be hardrt for anyone who wants to play CTF, CP, or TDM to find a game, period. Much less find a even and competitive game. For players who dislike DM, Tanki's "special event" is "go find something else to do besides play our game." Oh joy. Oh such marketing genius! B] Players WILL get bored of playing nothing but DM games on the same map. After a day or two the novelty will wear off and the special "fun" holiday map will be underused. The "special fun celebration: will mostly consist of, "look, there is a pumpkin on that bush". As we see far too often Tanki makes decisions that defy logic and reason. SSDD.

Ahh so that is the source for the DM-only comment. Well, that is not quite the same as a direct statement form TO. That button's wording does not automatically mean CTF, TDM and SP games will not be created on the special map. I guess we shall see. It seem quite foolish to put a holiday map in the game for several day then forbid 75% of the game modes to be used on it. But we shall see what we shall see. If it is DM only then I guess there will be no holiday map for me. I sure as shooting am not going to some kill 250 tanks in DM missions just to get Crystals. I have ship-loads of Crystals. That reason given by Nives makes no sense. It will be 10x for all games and all modes. But for some reason allowing 10x on one certain map cannot be allowed? That makes zero sense. So that is probably what will happen.

I see no mention anywhere that the holiday map will be DM only. The only source for this is in comments made in this thread. It makes no sense to limit the holiday map to DM only.

Just where does it say only DM battles will be available on the Holiday Map? I cannot find anything stating that in the OP. I have a hard time believing this to be true. If it is I will not be playing on the holiday map I guess. DM is kill the guy you just spawned behind before the guy spawning behind you kills you first. (IMO the DM format should have about 75% of the tanks as the same map holds for team matches. So if the map is an 8 vs 8 team vs team map it would be a 12-tank DM map. Bit that ain't gonna happen so I just avoid the format.)

You should entertain the thought you are not as clear a writer as you assume. The gold box and pro pass things were cleared up for you already by DA123. Easy as A-B-C. Both can be earned though missions. I had maybe 3 Pro Pass missions in the last week. That's 2,500 Cry and a few supplies for one mission. You sure you've played 190 hours? And all that is besides the point. The point being, being a buyer does not mean you have a high Cry/Exp ratio. ,Nor is a fat Cry / exp ratio as sign of that player being a buyer. There is essentially no correlation. Have nice day. Heis trying to "prove" I am a buyer. Peeople here might remember that I am firmly in the Avoid Rapid Experience Point Gain camp. So why the dickens would I buy a Pro Pass with it's evil evil Exp point multiplier? LOL

Perhaps I was on that receiving end. I played a game just like this last night. usually when I see this I leave the game. But at that point I needd that game for a mission. So I set about killing those magnums. THAT is satisfying. In fact when I see Magnums in a game I will selectively target them just because they are Magnums.
