I'd say the answer depends on the intellect of the person you ask.

I love drive and shoot games like Twisted Metal. So despite my lack of respect for the Tanki Company and their game's huge flaws I've still been playing. I just do not expect any improvement in the game so I am never let down. It is easy to get bogged down in the details on the ourums. SO I am going to give the 30,000-foot view of what it's been like playing Tanki these past 9-10 months. I) Discover the game, join, just play enjoying the new contents and all. Just play baby! II) Initial buzz wears off, settle down to a development plan. Now I look for good battles to join. I discover I spend a lot of time going form server to server trying to find a mon-lopsided battle at my rank. This tedium starts to significantly degrade enjoyment. III) Tanki introduces Battle Button and moves all battle creation to the Pro Pass. Suddenly I can find regular battles with ease. The mindless slaughterhouse games move to the Pro Pass section. I hate teise games but I buy a Pro Pass anyway just because it saves time doing missions. IVa) Tanki does another 180 in terms of game design philosphy and moves all daily mission to the standard battle section. I now have no need for a Pro Pass. That savings will probably balance out the fewer missions / month I'll do under this change. So ha ha! Tanki once again your plan is a fail from the start. I will still get all the materials I need from the daily missions and I will not be coerced into spending real money. IVb) Unfortunately Tanki did not stop there. They widened the rank range for battles. So now I find myself back to going form server to server looking for that one battle on 30 different servers that is not a blowout and does not force me to compete against players 7 ranks above me. And that's during peak usage hours. Evenings and late night US hours there are hardly any basic battles at all of any type. So congratulations Tanki. I was one of te feew players who saw what you were trying to do with the Battle Button and who supporeted you here on tis forum. But since then you've made too many counter-productive changes. Now you top it off by reversing all the good you did with the Battle button system. So now the tedium of paying Tanki is growing at the same time you've been haphazzardly toying with balance issues and weapons concepts. Fortunately that's OK with me becaiuse as I said up front, I now expect nothing but low quality from you all. But you should know with every passing week Tanki is fading away for me because you are pushing me away from you. Clearly you do not even know what you want as a company. You lurch from one design concept to another in a matter of a couple or few months. The sense of panic I see in all these changes and all these slaes and price reductions is a company seeing its cash-flow dry up. You dying on us Tanki? Fess up now. :lol:

That thinking is obsolete. Now tehre is no reason not to buy an MU step as soon as you can afford it. Buyinh 10 mu steps is the ssame as buying the next stage. So why "save up" and get 10 steps of improvement 3 months form now? Gain that increase ASAP and benefit from it while you earhn th enext stage.

Hilarious! I have no choice of battles now to apply to my mission except battles that include Legends. Now maybe 12 hours form now there will be ore choice. But players want to play when .. pay attention Tanki ... when they want to play, Before the battle button it was a chore to find a game that was at your rank, was not already a blowout, and was not a Poly CP or some other BS like that. The Battle button made it easy to find a game just about always. Now after pressuring people to but pro passes Tanki puts in a new system that removes the only reason I had to buy a PPass. And the flood the non-pro games with m1 vs m3 matchups. Now it is impossible to find a battle again. Just think about it for a moment. What company makes so many drastic untested change to their only product in so short a time? The only answers are: a desperate company.or A very inept company. Well one leads to the other I guess. I guess the whole idea of playing Tanki and working the mission chain is just over. I can just drop in and play every so often if I feel like it. But you know how this goes. Once you pass that point you basically just stop playing the game. To paraphrase a former US President ... You're doing a heck of a job Tanki!

I also want to add that we are at this point because of Tanki's earlier failure. I refer to the removal of map-based missions. When there were map-based missions in the mix there was more variety in the daily assignments. But afterwards the finish in 1st place mission started coming up frequently. So players bought a Pro Pass and created 1-capture Pro battles. Easy missions. In this way the patient non-buyer could keep pace in the equipment race so long as they stuck to one turret/hull combo. But for some reason this was considered "bad" so we arrive at thr decision to further punish the player base until morale improves. But think back ... we'd not be here at all probably if Tanki was good enough at their job to return map-based missions to the game. So failure one leads to failure two ... and they seem to be getting bigger. Have fun, hawks and pigeons. Decide which one you are. LittleWillie out.

Hi I'm the guy who left in a meltdown over the sale not being announced thus costing me 70k Cr when I bought a kit the day before. Tanki's response was not: "Let's do a professional job and announce our sales" it was "Let's punish our players by removing kit discounts." Tanki's response is always to try to browbeat their customers into paying more money. This is what is happening again. They are opening the Legend rank down to CAPTAIN for God's sake, plus, they are forcing these Legends to play in non-Pro battles. 1) It gives Tanki's whales the easy-to-kill victims these losers expect and demand for their hundred dollar a month or more addiction. These players keep Tanki in business. The whales want easy noobs to kill so we will give them easy noob to kill. 2) The Daily Mission player now finds it harder to do missions and thus get drugs. 3) The Daily Missioner is now faced with m3+ people drugging with enthusiasm, which means counter-drugging is even more important. In Tanki's mind this player punishment will convert Daily Mission players into 25 to 50 dollar a month players. Because they will need the drugs, see? And the only choice then is to buy the drugs, see? Tanki Marketing 101: Punishment will Lead to Profits But what really happens is this. 1) Some players get fed up and leave quickly. 2) Other players shift from doing 3 missions / day to just 1 / day in order to keep the chain going. IOW they start playing less. Ans once you start playing less the next step is playing not at all. You see to sell gaming you have to stimulate the pleasure centers in the brain. This has the player wanting to play more and to value game play more. Then you have them on the hook. Policies that result in the player playing less is, OTOH, counterproductive to the profit motive. I'd say I was upset at all this but I am not. I lost my last scrap of respect for the Tanki company last month. Now that I expect nothing I am never left feeling let down. But I am enjoying a good bit of schaudenfreund over this episode. Adios now while I go back to laughing my fool ass off.

I like that. The company telling the customer that the customer has no right to complain about company policy. Now you give us money. If Tanki insists on turning away paying customer then so be it. No Dopey, this is not life this is a game. It is a distraction form life. Life is annoying. Hobbies exist as a haven from life's constant annoyances. When a game becomes more annoying than fun ... well what are the odds I will spend money on that game? This a product offered for sale. People who use someone else's credit card do not care what things cost or if the company offers poor value. They are not spending their own money. That may or may not sound like someone you know. But I am spending my own money. I do care about value. The company trying to turn a profit will benefit form learning that their polices drive away value-minded customers. Maybe Tanki has made all they can off of adolescents spending money they do not earn. Maybe Tanki needs to learn how to sell to adults in order to remain profitable. You clearly do not understand. I want to respect Tanki as a company. I want to be able to support them with moderate financial support. I cannot do this when their policies are designed to needlessly annoy their customers. Tanki needs to hear that.

This is a long answer. (By the way I had the m1 Smoky and the m1 Titan not m2.) What I really wanted was m2 titan and m2 Striker. But that kit can be bought only in the shop. It has never been in the garage. (Because .... well I rant in a section at the end.) So what do I do? 1) I use m1 forever until the Striker titan kit is avaiolable in the garage. If ever. Could be months or never. 2) Wait one more rank and ~60,000 exp to Major using m1/m1m1/ Then Buy Striker m2 and a protection m2. WAit two more ranks to COL to bet m2 titan. 3) Buy Atlas to get m2/m2/m2 right up front, then buy Striker m2 after 60,000 exp and reaching Major. This would cost about 25,00 to 40,000 more than method 2 above but OTOH I would have an m2 Smoky I could use if I absolutely had to. I chose method #3 after thinking about it since the last kit rotation, 4-5 days. I finally decided I would go with #3. I buy it, play for a little, then go to bed. I wake up and find out I've ben screwed. ---------Which all returns me to my original point.--------Rant On-------------- All Tank has to do is make every kit available in both the Shop and the Garage all the time. Then I will know the damn kit can be bought without having to factor in weeks of extra waiting if I am simply unlucky. Tanki has a VLOG, a Forum, a monthly newsletter in many languages. Here's an idea: mention upcoming sales in these outlets! Then if I screw up I have myself to blame. Instead Tanki is going out of the way to make sure I am both dis-satisfied and that it is their genuine fault. This is called a Bad Business Model. Psst! Tanki! in the non-Commuinst marketplace informing your customers is called advertising. Advertising increases sales and product loyalty. A big part of gaming is planning. Sometimes this is called "thinking ahead". Thinking ahead is what good gamers do. Thinking "several moves ahead" is highly prized in chess. Russians are said to like chess. Let's hope some Tanki employees look into this "thinking ahead" stuff. They can probably find some Russians to ask.. I am so G__ D___ mad about this because Tanki's policies are hurting their own self interest. The amount of bad logic that goes into the current policies is flabbergasting. It takes a special kind of stubborn to keep this up.

Oh noooo... why use that to communicate stuff? Just last week I left an irate posting about how Tanki seems to go out of their way to provoke their customers. This week they rub it in in spades. All I an say is keep repeating that these occurrences just keep coming and that is why I refuse to support Tanki any more with real money. Why has no Tanki official explained why they failed to announce this sale? Women must not be important to the men who run Tanji.That's reason the holiday was invented so dimly-aware males are forced to realize women exist too. Tanki just blows off the whole idea. Which of the following featured a sale and which one did not: Thanksgiving or Women's Day? What's the "bigger" holiday? I think that is going to depend on whom you ask. And I think it should not be up to me to guess. It is the company's responsibility to inform their players ahead of the event. But more than their responsibility it is in their own self-interest to do ao.

This is a perfectly sound plan. I would MU those items some. It is a long road and the early MU steps are a good bargain. Keep saving as your income seems on pace. My the time you reach m3 you will know more about what hull you will want. VITAL:!!!! Watch the Garage Kits every week. Watch for Northerner and Paladin but also for similar kits. Write down the dates these kits appear. You need to do this because Tanki ahs the F'ed up "rotation" policy. So unless you track when a certain Kit is in the Garage you will not know when yo can buy it. It will not do you much good to Rank up to Captain two days after the Northern kit "rotates" out of the garage. You might have to wait six more weeks for it to re-appear. Six weeks! Or don't do what I did just last night. I bought a kit in the garage because it will rotate out the day after tomorrow. But guess what? There will be a slae tomorrow. If I had waited I would have saved almost 80,000 crystals. But Tanki didn't tell anyone about a sale. So thaniks to Tankis very stupid policies you will have to do a lot of work tracking when your kit will be in the garage. And better still you would hope to get your kit on sale. That is why you might be better off buying a similar kit on sale and filling in the missing pieces. Or you could join me in writing Tanki to change their very stupid policies to let the players be able to plan more than 24 hours in advance. So ... grats on having a good plan. Sales have always affected kit prices before why not this time? F.A.M.E. is right. Today is the 7th. Tomorrow is the sale. The kits rotate on the 9th. The kit rotation nonsense has to go. Sales have to be announced at least one full week in advance, with 10 days even better.

No one is being weakened. Players are being offered another choice, another set of tactics to use in order to garner rewards. There are real issues to Tanki that could be improved. Some people try to think of ways to make matters better. Other people feel that once something is a certain way it should never change. Thanks for the nice comments. I too am zero percent motivated by the arbitrary "Ranking" we have now. I probably would not be more motivated if it were re-named to "Fame". But I know some players would. The real change motivator though is to give a player a reason to playy out a losing game. It is a challenge to fight, say, 4 on 6. But if doing so gives me a chance at some sort of reward . . . :) I would be happy to see a reason to stick around in an interesting but losing battle. But the same concept applies to ddrug use. Why not give players a reason to try that style, to seek that challenge? The game would be more dicerse for everyone. Saturday night I was having so much fun. Was playing Wasp/Vulcan on Desert CP. Excapt for one specific attack on a defensive strong point I wasn't drugging much. Soon stopped drugging at all. Was still doing well zooming around and blazing away. One game ends, next one starts. I am still charging zooming blazing away no drug use except for map pickups. ... dying but taking them down with me. I spawned, typed COWABUNGA and charged again. Soon a teammate and I were throwing the cowabungas, geronimos, yeea-hahs, have at yous and so forth. We lost by like a 4:1 ratio but still had fun. the team fought hard all game even on a losing effort. That does not happen much now. These proposed changes aim to make that exact thing more common. I didn't do the exact math just approximated. The kit cost me 188k+. The paint in Atlas is only about 6k thank God. The module is 30% off the hull and turret both 40% so (roughly) 200k minus 35% ... 70k. You come up with 77k+. That's several months work on my part ... WASTED. Tanki. You cannot be bothered to use your own VLOG to announce this sale .,. You cost me months of effort ... and you expect me to spend money on your game? Tanki. Sorry to be crude. There is no other sentiment possible.

How do you do that when a certain kit is in the garage for one week .... then it is NOT in the garage for five weeks? If the sale was March 9th not the 8th then the Atlas kit would be gone. It is just cruel luck that rubs it in that I could have got it on sale. So some players get lucky and buy kits on a discount. Most players are unlucky, their kit is not in the Garage on the same day ... and what did they do to deserve that? Tanki thinks that experience will make the players happy and will make them want to spend money on the game. Like hell it does. The post I made last week pointed out how this policy too does nothing but anger their customers. And here we are. I was angry last week. Today "anger" doesn't describe it. The sense of utter bewilderment somehow overwhelms the anger. Watching Tanki Company in action is like watching a news clip of a chimp shooting off an AK on a crowded street. The danger to nearby people makes you angry ... but you can't help but wonder who thought t was a good idea to give a chimp an AK?
