  1. Wolverine never had the benefit of free-login crystals nor the crystal drops. I started after all that but before the re-balance. Got "shafted" on the nerf to smky, Isida and the Viking-Hunter switcheroo. I have an alternate account - it was started this year and is now at Major. No money spent, and I'd say it does better than my Legend account. Certainly not running short on supplies, and I'd say >50% of the time I'm top 3 on my team, if not the battle.

    Matchmaker can't evaluate a players intent to actually play a team game. It often gives you team-mates who, for whatever reason, don't seem to want to play as a team - goofing around, gold-hunting, supply collecting. These people should be just playing DM. I finish > 80% of the battles I start. But there are some battles that just are not worth playing. I don't quit battles because I might not win. I quit battles because there is absolutely no joy in playing them - just utter frustration. Some battles don't deserve to be finished - they should just end so everyone can move on to hopefully a better experience. I read your post - this stood out like a sore thumb "Plus it is unfair for the wining team, they battled hard to get domination and they are then ripped of from the full battle time." It's your choice to complete every battle, regardless of how badly it goes. Just like it's our choice to protest this imperfect system by exiting hopeless battles and offering suggestions on how it might work for the better.

    Last night was U-G-L-Y... one of the worst nights I've experienced playing TO in quite some time. Every single game was a blow-out - experienced on this account and my alt Major account. Closest was 5-2 CTF, and really, the score under-sells how badly that game went. Hard to pin down why each battle was so lop-sided. Might have been partly connected to groups, or just players deciding to goof around. Don't normally leave battles I start, but - I HAD to leave some of these as it almost felt like I was playing with bots. Did I mention the battles were fugly?

    I will assume first part (cookie) is attempt at humor and not a language issue? People leave because they know they have no hope and will just be continuously spawn-killed. I don't think you have grasped this yet. Players will stay more often with "mercy rule" because they know the suffering will end sooner than later and they can collect their rewards. How is battle ending early "unfair" for winning team? They will collect their rewards sooner and can find another battle sooner. You feel sympathy for the winning team but have none for the team getting pounded? Are you one of those players that holds onto the 7th flag (even though you can cap) just to pad your score/reward? That is the way children play - selfish with very little honor or "fair-play" because they have not yet grasped that concept. It is disappointing to see you exhibit these characteristics.

    You forgot to mention that... Non-buyers can't choose a development path, since the all important blue-print rewards are random. Need 2 Increased damage blueprints to get to next level? What you will get is 15 blueprints for rage, which you haven't developed at all. Buyers have same issue? Well.. they just "buy" more X crystals to get more blueprints. At end of each season you lose 40% of your reputation points - often dropping you back down to next lower league. So forget about casual players. If you don't play regularly you will never advance to where the good rewards are.
  6. largest issue is Overdrive. Because actions like killing (by using DD) speed up OD, team to use more supplies (sooner) gets OD sooner. Then they enhance team-mates who then build up their OD faster. That's when the spawn-killing starts, and losing team then has no chance to build up OD as they are just dying. Current OD is one of the worst additions to TO.

    Most modern tanks don't have freeze weapons, and shot-guns don't really work against heavy armor. In real world those wasp-rails would explode after one shot from turrets like Thunder or smoky. Tanki-X really has nerfed the heavy hull with things like extra damage to rear - since they don't maneuver very well and have glaring weakness. I don't think we should be looking for "realism" in these arcade games. Oh, and Isida says hello. ;)
  8. I have never bought any items in TO with real money. it's all F2-play. And I have more supplies than I can use. Some days are good days, some days are bad days. Sometimes I finish top of the score, sometimes middle and sometimes near the bottom. For the most part I am competitive, even though this account is playing many players with more "ranks" and fully MU-ed equipment. But then again I rarely play DM - mostly CTF and CP, with a smattering of RGB and ASSLT. I guess we just have different expectations.

    I think you missed the entire point of my message. Please re-read. Your responses seem cookie-cutter and actually don't address what I typed. I know you are trying to "stay on message" but - you are gonna need to tailor your responses a bit more for them to actually make sense as a response, as opposed to an advertisement. FYI - your football analogy is terrible. Don't recall ever mentioning voting out players, so no idea why you bring that up. You appear not to like "mercy rules" - even though simple board games, chess, and real world battles have "surrenders". There is no good reason to prolong a blow-out.

    Does not get better the ore you play IMO. I hate that the rewards are random - so - you can't really choose a path for development. It's like container rewards... oh great - another 15 blueprints for EMP and 1 blueprint for backhit defense... when I never use EMP... Not sure I agree with your comments about the objective. Not everyone can Return the flag in CTF. There's different roles, but Tanki-X rewards the hornet flag-cappers the most. Talk about loss of diversity. And then there's Reputation. Losing 40% at season's end drops you back down to the lower league unless you play constantly. There's no room for casual players in Tanki-X.
  11. Batteries? well yes - they are pretty much for buyers now. Would be silly to spend any crystals on those - use free ones until they are gone then dont use the drone. I won't be buying any drone until I've accumulated a boatload of free ones. But batteries/drones are currently not a huge impact on gameplay at the moment. Some difference, yes. Huge? Not so much... Overdrives? Yes, hopefully when players don't just get free supply-boosts (for gold) they will actually use them....

    Ideas for Turrets!

    Seeing as Arcade shots are supposed to be a secondary function, I would hope they do less DPS than smoky's main (only) attack. It's like a sniper pulling out a pistol when enemy closes the gap. Of course that pistol will not be as effective as a shotgun or assault gun. but it's still better than a knife or bare hands.

    And yet... with Magnum being relatively new in the game, why do we see so many of them? The turret has become very competitive quickly (basically "overnight") due to the fact that mechanically it is OP. Does not need to even hit a target to do significant damage. Does not need to place itself in danger to damage enemy. So where is the "skill"? TO was not designed for an Indirect Fire weapon.

    Tanki-X gives very little control over your own progression since the blue-prints are given out randomly. No matter how much you want a specific path of modules you are at the mercy of randomness. I absolutely hate the perspective they give of the tank - seems too large and cartoonish, and no matter what I do with camera angle it never seems "correct". And with limited map selection and no choice of battle-mode the game-play does seem very repetitive. The number of railguns in the battles are ridiculous - and there's no protection to discourage them.

    So 6 turrets are better at long range than smoky. Also add Ricco with the MFS alteration - performs better than smoky at long range. I'd debate that twins with long-range alt performs better than smoky at long range - since it NEVER STOPS FIRING. So that's possibly 8 turrets better than smoky at long range (the 10% weak damage is terrible). At close range smoky stands no chance vs Freeze, Fire and isida. Hammer with high capacity drum also can compete vs smoky. And twins... well... no contest. Ricco dishes out it full damage potential faster than smoky so it's better at short range. Smoky has a very narrow band-width where it outperforms more than a few turrets. And you want to nerf it's critical that happens 1-in-5 at best?
  17. Don't need to buy to compete - just need to spend wisely and only on sales. It's possible to have two decent combos at rank of major. largest issue arises when MatchMaker places you in a battle with enemy who already has access to M3+.

    You make the mistake of assuming it's all about winning. It is not. If battles are close most players don't care if they win as the division of battle fund was finally updated - do well you get rewarded. It's about how many battles are unbalanced. No one want to play on a team 5 vs 8 or losing 7-0. Rewards or no, it's the gameplay that will keep players in battle. If battle is out of hand (# tanks, or run-away score) just end the battle. Shoving more players into a 6-0 CTF or 30-1 CP battle wastes everyones time. JUST. END. THE. BATTLE and hand out the rewards so players can move on to what is hopefully a better battle next time.

    Nope. Have had a Tanki-X account for > 1 yr and it is definitely NOT better. Game is based on Leagues (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Masters) What league you play in is determined by Reputation Points earned (win battles, perform well). At end of each "season" you lose 40% of the reputation points you have earned. So at end of every season I drop from Silver League to Bronze league (where the rewards are insignificant) because of that 40% penalty. Unless you play A LOT, it is very difficult to get past bronze/silver. If it was a fixed amount loss you could slowly advance. But because it is a 40% penalty, the higher your Reputation, the more you lose.

    The XT "look" has been separated from the turret and is now a "skin" Check your garage - there will be a skin you can apply to your m3 rail. I think you access through alterations.
  23. I may be wrong but... I think Diesel was cracking wise. My Major account has been seeing marshals now. And that sucks since I still can't get access to magnum M2 module, and they are bombing me with M3+ shells.

    8 vs 8 on Sandal? :lol: That's smaller than original Polygon. They'd have to basically make it a whole new map. What's the point? They should just bring in good maps they excluded (Skylark, deathtrack, magistral)
