They just couldn't do enough damage to kill me before I was healed. The Protection Module is at 37% shaft protection and twins were wrecked coming up the road. And to be honest - I don't get every RIO game like that. There's some that become frustrating as well.

You don't by any chance have a Firebird in your garage do you? ;)

My Isida has earned tons of xp there (and sometimes a 1st place share of the reward). Had one CTF game where I played Blue with my full Guardian kit - stayed near flag and could see down the road. An isida camped behind me out of site while I just kept peppering those shafts and twins. I don't think one tank made it to our base on that side of map. It's one of my go-to maps when I need to complete missions. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Which is why the old method of micro-upgrading was waaaaay better. You could pay for what you need (like extra twins protection) instead of an even split on twins/smoky/whaterver.

Unfortunately for me in my Viking M3 the Freeze turrets never run out of juice. I try to turn my hull and turret simultaneously - rarely makes a difference. Same result. I still die.

Might be in reference to the following (I'm just spit-balling here)... Devs make a change that negatively affects some tankers. To offset this negative change tanker will be "forced" to purchase something else. example ... isida nerf. No longer can do DMs well. Now tanker needs to buy a different turret that will allow DM success. Surprise... a sale announced shortly after. So this tanker now buys Hammer, and because of the sale - they don't need to spend as much on something they perhaps had not intended to buy. So in effect they "did not lose as many crystals". And so - do not complain about sales? That's the best I could come up with...

What? How many Freeze tanks have you heard about on real battlefields? I don't think there are any "Twin" plasma tanks either. Or.. guns that can bounce shots around corners for that matter.

What's wrong with Rio? Almost any turret can do well there...

IF the kit you like is available during a holiday sale you will be able to save additionally on one item. Try to buy when most expensive item is on sale. Often that item is paint or protection Module. Keep in mind this discount is not "added on" as a percentage. It is applied to the already discounted price found in the kit. And you definitely don't need any more M2s. They will be too weak shortly to earn crystals efficiently against opponents with MU'd M3s.
-
Might be cheaper to buff across the board. You will be able to get in more MUs overall without paying for speedups. Guess it depends on how long the MU will take - how many you can complete during a sale and if you want to avoid paying for speedups.
-
More often than not, even when I start with 3 supply missions - the switch gives me.......... another supply mission. I am cursed.

You bullies had already changed my mind... "But as you and I_already have indicated it probably is 50% protection from all."
-
Probably right. However health packs don't necessarily have to be doubled. They do a fixed amount. I would not expect them to completely heal a tank with DA. But as you and I_already have indicated it probably is 50% protection from all. Still wondering about freeze mechanics though... my Viking with DA froze pretty quickly. Did not seem to have resistance to slowing.

Correct. being able to "buy" multiple M3 Protection Modules and MUs on much of your equipment gives a large advantage. And at the higher ranks "buyers" don't disappear from your battles quickly (or at all depending on rank) due to the wider rank-range for created battles. Not as absurd as you make it out to be. Non-buyers playing non-buyers no issue. Every tanker has similar chance to place toward the top and earn good crystals. But in upper ranks when a buyer enters a battle the difference is obvious. They are now buying those very expensive M3 Protection Modules and upgrading toward 50% protection. This is huge advantage in a battle. They are buying multiple combos and can (relatively quickly) MU those combos to be more powerful. And of course they have access to a larger cache of supplies. They can take advantage of economies of scale. Non-buyers are not upgrading at close to the same pace - and the buyers are not leaving them behind in ranks.

Camp I agree. I actually like Superhov. Usually has a wide mix of tanks (hulls and turrets) for CTF.

My guess is that DA just simply increases the amount of health your hull has. But this begs another question... what happens when the DA expires? If you start with 300 health and pop a DA. Take 200 dmg. Does that 200 dmg come off the temporary health? Or maybe it just acts like 50% protection mentioned above... Protection Modules definitely work the other way - they reduce the amount of damage turrets do. A secondary (rumored) effect is that side effects (like freezing) are reduced in a proportional way. Big question is... how do freezing mechanics work? Are they constant regardless of hull? Based solely on the freeze turret?
-
Or ping-pong. You are pretty much always within range of firebird and freeze. And twins is good there on a heavy hull.
-

However Protection Modules and DA are not the same thing. I've heard the Protection Module does slow the freezing... but nothing confirmed on the DA aspect. last evening my Viking M3 (with DA equipped) froze solid. Maybe it's an M4 freeze? (no time to hit 'v" as I'm fighting for my life...)
-
LOL... sorry... Don't have access to my email during day so I don't bother with notification. Will check folder more often.
-
Well if they ever buff the stock afterburn they better do something to the alteration - it would be way too powerful with current damage + good afterburn.
-
Interesting... documented? Or "observation"? If true guess I'll be using DA more often because I don't find the freezing effect weak at all. I'm always brought to a complete standstill.

I die plenty of times from fire after killing the firebird.
