Purchasing kits...how tough was the decision?

That's where the "weak damage" kicks in. The tank moved beyond your minimum dmg range. But 4? Seems low - unless the hull had protection module vs Smoky. Even then... 8 sounds low. An M0 Smoky should do weak damage of 14-22. Cut in half (unlikely) that still 7-11.

Purchasing kits...how tough was the decision?

Rail is definitely good in maps like Brest. Thunder though is useful in any maps where you have areas with pits and walls - the Splash. Also, keep in mind that Thunder has a weak damage of 50%. That is high for weak damage. So yes, the damage does decline down to minimum over distance. But past that it stops declining. Smoky - best at mid-range, and where you can keep opponent under constant barrage. Would lose a peek-a-boo contest due to low damage per shot. Also, smoky has terrible weak damage - 10%. So once you are past the Minimum damage range it is more like a pea-shooter. an annoyance yes, but takes forever to destroy a tank. Not great on Brest. If you stay back rails and shaft own you. Move up (into the lower pit area) and the short-range turrets will own you.

Purchasing kits...how tough was the decision?

Sure early unlock is a temporary advantage. But if you stick to (your rank and below) battles, you can earn a lot of extra crystals (and complete missions easier) during those two ranks. Plus you can take advantage of MU sales during those two ranks as well. Can have big savings there, as ultimate goal is to MU M3 items. Ahh... GeeVuh beat me to it.

    The Legend Rank is here!

But - any one of the losing prizes is better than what the winner gets. I would never try to win in that battle. ;)

Purchasing kits...how tough was the decision?

I thought they increased the discount on many kits to compensate for the useless paint. I bought Guardian recently and I think the price was close to what it was before. Typically you would buy a kit if you want AT LEAST two of the main components. If those two components bought separately compare to price of kit it is well worth it because... - You also get a third component (module) - You get the items early (especially now that M3 items are all at Marshall) - You get a supply kit (variable) Plus... if you are lucky and kit is available during a sale you save even more. Sometimes buying on paint-sale-day is best.
  6. I concur. I wish we could MU specific ones within the module. But then we'd be spending less crystals... Also - can't believe Ricco takes the longest. Always seems to own me in one-on-one battles. Maybe I'm meeting higher MUs (I'm often too lazy to hit "v" or whatever that key is).

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I said "buyers" not "druggers". Buyers buy kits, modules and supplies to aid in dominating non-buyers. Supplies are a big part of it though. And below Gismo is where many of the non-drug-wars are. Buyers (with great garage for their rank) dominate the non-buyers who are still working on their first M2 or M3 combo and have less "disposable income" to spend on luxuries like supplies.

IMO it will die a slow death without "non-buyers". It is already trending that way now. A good portion of the "buyers" would quit if they don't have anyone to dominate.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I have to agree - there needs to be something of that nature. Do you think there would be a game if these supplies were not as powerful? At 50% power instead of 100%? With the current pattern of users (reducing every year) - how much of a game will there be when it's just supply users? When tankers don't have an advantage over someone the supplies pretty much become meaningless.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

They must really care about our opinion... else they would ignore this entire string.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

Just because you don't like the response doesn't mean it isn't a response. but thanks for your opinion. Also... still waiting for those links. You do have screen-shots where I'm calling people "noob druggers" and "buyer" and "no skill", right? It's been a couple days so I figured you had the time...

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

You're free to have a different opinion. Supplies have already changed a number of times. Cool-downs for example.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

You made it sound like they won't change in the future. Hope you're not betting on that...

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I never implied that. You read it wrong. Never said it was no longer "Free-To-Play". But it's more obvious than ever that "Pay-To-Win" vastly overshadows that. The way MUs were changed. Much more expensive. Paint separation new modules - more expensive to buy and more expensive to MU. Large supply kits no longer in garage. Kits... extra rotations makes it more difficult to buy on sale. Etc...

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I'm pretty sure the way supplies are implemented have already changed over time.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I never said they did. I was pointing out that the "design" of the game has changed since introduced. People want to play "the game how it was designed to be played" (not my phrasing - was AbsolueZero). But they can't because of the changing parameters. No one wants to play a game that they can't compete in. And that's one of the reasons why, on an average day, there are way fewer players than there used to be. The changing rules are driving them away. Many tankers are still trying to set up a competitive garage. But most of the changes introduced in last year or so inhibit this. The increasing short-cuts given to those who want "quick fixes" frustrate and drive away many.

    Quick battles and multi-account management

I believe it functions based on your selections of battle-types at bottom of screen. If you only have DM selected, you will only go to DM battle. I've heard mention they are still working on other options. Seems like a Beta-Test at the moment.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

Except... the rules keep changing. The game was designed as Free-To-Play. Parameters have changed since inception. Now it's Pay-To-Win.

OK. I wasn't accusing you. Just trying to get clarification on what - for me - seemed a little vague.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

Well, it's not really "twisting" your words if that is actually what you posted and meant... Do you interpret that (not using supplies) as violating the rule (2.1.5) ?

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

So if you've just fired it's another 9 seconds to do the 2400 dmg. Whew. What's the reload for Arcade?

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I can't say for sure... but it may have been this part.... "From the very beginning (prior to that post as well) I have all the time been talking about the same insults, the ones that players refusing to use supplies direct to players who play according to the game rules. (Deliberately refusing to use supplies violates at least the last sentence in rule 2.1.5, which in an earlier version of the rules was stated even clearer.)" It was hard to tell if the last sentence was you interpreting that as a ban on someone not using supplies in a Battle. Maybe you weren't - just looks like that might be the case...
  23. wolverine848

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

Is that an M3? Three seconds to charge up for over 2000 dmg? Wow! It takes an M3 smoky 6 seconds to do slightly more than that (2255)...
  24. wolverine848

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

I think many tankers use even the limited supply they have. Issue is they run out pretty fast. I use them when I have to - either that or I leave the battle because there is no chance of competing. Problem is we have the daily missions to complete. So a batch of our supplies need to be saved for those - especially the ones we may not be too fond of. I dislike DMs but will play them if that happens to be only mission that day offering crystals. There are weeks where the missions really suck. No crystals and even the offered supplies are terrible - maybe 6 or 7 per mission. That does not go far.

    Quick battles and multi-account management

Wait - what? You prefer mults over a 2 min pause kick? :o How often are you pausing more than 2 min during an ongoing battle? I take it the "we all" is you and your friends? The feedback so far suggests you are in the minority.
