It's better than you think. You really need to keep target in sights for a few shots in a row - it's a bit like smoky that way. Not good for "peek-a-boo".

Rhetorical question? -
DPS, for long-range hard-hitting turrets is not as important as it is for turrets like Freeze or Isida or even smoky. It's the ability to do a lot of damage in one (unexpected) shot that counts. Tack an OD or augment or a drone (like booster) onto it's effects and it can one-shot tanks. So what if it takes a while to re-load. The damage was done (pun intended) - especially if target destroyed.

Stock Gauss was released in summer of 2019 - less than 2 years ago. How could it take you 3 years to get Gauss EMP?
-
Problem is - MatchMaker allows players in same battle who are not "similar Ranks". That 4250 player might have been using the best equipment they had.

Does Brutus function in Pro-battles no (garage) supplies but with supply drops? Does it boost the supplies you pick up?
-
Brest is also a French city and Military Port. Also has a Castle. An esplanade or promenade is a long, open, level area which is well represented in the map.

several thousand? I think I have about 24k DAs to run my Defender. Batteries are only thing not unlimited.
-
Is it though? 5000TK? Since Criticals were introduced, modules are less effective. IMO a 4th one does not have even close to value of 5000 TK. If you are really looking for advice, I'd say go back in time, don't spend that 5000 TK, and just equip two turret modules + Armadillo. But if you bought those TKs with $$, well ... never mind.
-
So you have Armadillo AND 4th module? NO ONE should be helping you decide. You have enough resources to go this on your own. Yeeesh. ?
-
Won't you be a Commander after 2 weeks of play? Depends on the drone. Booster and Defender? No change - provides same defense and same offense. But the poster that responded to you was demonstrating you use drones a LOT. Thus.. they must have been making a difference. Else why waste the batteries.
-
I didn't even start. I knew they'd give us the shaft. LOL.
-
It's both the Xp-boost AND the super-wide rank spreads.
-
Well - until they play Legends which have drones at 20/20. They end up playing Legends fairly soon due to wide rank-spreads.
-
Ha - you said "supplies".

If you don't invest in a drone you will not be able to compete. That's as close to 'forcing' as it can get. -
You mean via drones? Isn't that in effect now?
-
They won't even be less annoying. Most have upgraded drones - I play against them every day. I'm one of them - my Defender is 20/20. Any player with multiple partially upgraded drones will now concentrate on upgrading a single drone. Camping will be just as it was. Only the lower-ranked players will suffer. To believe otherwise is being naive.
-
"Special Missions" ... log in. LOL.
-
Disagree. Many players at Legend rank have upgraded drones - I know this because I see it every battle. So they will be using supplies at full power. The lower-ranked players will have less powerful supplies. Too bad they also have to play Legends because of Matchmaker. Legends just gained a leg-up on all the lower-ranked players they end up with in battles. Isn't that awesome! Low-ranked campers won't have full-power supplies. Are they actually a problem for you? But the campers at your rank - Legend - will still have 100% power supplies. You think think they won't be entering battles with MU-ed drones? Nothing has changed for the campers you really need to worry about.
-
So that's at least 4 hulls for AP-immunity in Challenge. Hornets be WTF?
-
The explanation for it still being 50% is that the game has changed. Yeah... Isida does a LOT more damage NOW than when it previously had vampirism. They keep introducing more and more OP items for $$. I'm done.

Nerfing the modules (a la critical hits) hurts melee turrets the most IMO. Melee turrets rely on modules to get close enough to attack. This is what all the Rail whiners just don't get. Long-range turrets can just fire away from any distance.
-
What? It's fine as is. Freeze also freezes unless someone actually uses a hull augment for that. Getting to melee range can be a problem. But once there it has a huge advantage. They are both balanced IMO. It's like rock-paper-scissors.
