    Let's Discuss Smoky!

As you know, there was a dark period in history, where Sledgehammer Thunder trod on land too close to Smoky. Their parameters were too close. The main parameters separating them was their reload times and Thunder's self-damage. Smoky reloaded in 1.5 seconds. Sledgehammer Thunder eloaded in 1.61 seconds. Sledgehammer's damage was the same if not more than Smoky's critical hit. It also had splash damage. On paper, Sledgehammer was Smoky, but better. The big one-up Smoky had on Thunder there was relative absence of protection modules. They were dark times, and those times are fortunately over as time progressed. Also there was a time where Smoky was underpowered, and Thunder was generally the superior pick.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

I mean, you have been saying a lot of things that sound like conspiracies and the way you say it sounds like you're bringing it across as the truth. If you were to be banned for anything, I would have expected it to be for spreading false information and not for Provocation. Discussing bans here isn't allowed anyway. You can appeal to Defender if you think the ban was unjust.

No, as this exists. And there exists others with higher score than that. Work harder.

    Let's Discuss Missions!

I was referring to the damage mission. Hardest is top 3 x 15.

    Let's Discuss Striker!

It deserved a buff. The decreased projectile speed allowed the enemy enough time to get to cover if they were close to it. And then it had Stock Striker's missile reload. Combine that and its usefulness as limited. A lot of my missiles would also fly into obstacles on the way to the target or if the target was on a bridge, almost all of my shots would hit the edge of the bridge when I'm aiming from below them. I was pretty happy with the reload time buff, but I guess the projectile speed buff was needed as well. It's really effective against single targets that you can two-shot, but it misses out on damage potential you can get in a group compared to Stock Striker. I like it when they come after me.

    Let's Discuss Missions!

Certainly better than "deal 270,000 damage in a specific mode". On average, I can get about 40-50k per battle. With Hornet,'s Overdrive, I'm able to increase that number. Wasp as well, since the bomb ignores double armour and you can get multiple enemies at once. Had a battle earlier today where I was able to get 145k damage in one battle, but I was using Hornet and a Drone (not Booster or Defender) to give me more survivability. It's easier for me to complete that than say a "Score 2,000 points in battles mission". I can deal a lot of damage on enemies and not kill them, so I accumulate damage faster than score. I do wish that they allowed healing to contribute to the mission. Whenever I feel like playing Isida and I get a deal damage mission, I get bummed. Yeah forgot about that, some hulls suffer more than others in this regard. For me, it's the 2nd hardest weekly mission to complete. I still have a top 3 x 15 mission going on on another account. Got it to 10 really fast then started losing battles left and right and after a week and some days, it's stuck on 12. Had 4 losses earlier.

    Let's Discuss Missions!

Think of it as you getting a deal 300k damage to enemies mission every day. Getting that for 7 days requires 2.1 million but you're getting almost have of that as a weekly mission. Weekly missions are just the rightmost missions multiplied by ~5. It's not as easy as the others, but I feel more comfortable doing that than the Top 3 in the winning team x 15.

    Let's Discuss Gauss!

I got Owl on 4 of my 5 accounts. My default modules used to be Thunder/Railgun/{insert other upgraded module I had (usually Firebird)}, but now it's Thunder, Railgun/Gauss. Their presence is too common and their collateral damage is too high for me not to equip it. It allows me to survive a sniping shot with 5-20% of my HP most times, but their maximum damage is still high enough to one-shot me, just like Magnum. But the worst feeling is being collateral damage. You lock on to one person and you only see that person, and then you see 3 red damage numbers around the target you shot. It doesn't make much sense using the mid-rank protection on a light hull in the mid-ranks. It doesn't help you if you don't have DA and the Gauss has DD. But for the other hulls, it's a good boost in survivability.

    Let's Discuss Twins!

Unfortunately, Twins just isn't a turret for me, as I had first learned back with the Black Friday Container gold bug where I bought Ram Kit before the forced server restart and absolutely hated how it (Twins) felt. So I knew there not to buy that ever. Then come more recently, I got lucky with 300,000 crystals from a container, on an account that needed it the most. The Jam Kit (Twins + Dictator) was there, and it was the last day to buy it. I was too impatient and bought the Kit hoping to give Twins another try after all this time. Once again, it was an awful experience. And to make things worse, when the new kits came out 2 days later, I could have gotten the Guard Kit or the Striker + Titan Kit, which suited me better. So it was there, stuck at almost M2, where I only used the Dictator and the M2 Twins protection module from the kit. Somehow I ended up with all 3 of its alterations, just to see how they were. Tried Plasma Core Accelerators first in a Magistral battle and it didn't see much use. Switched to Stock and I did slightly better although I suffered a lot of self-damage from teammates because I like to be near my teammates when I use Dictator. During a sale, I bought Stable Plasma. I did well with it because of the impact force increase and I could ram into enemies without much fear. Then, I bought Heavy Plasmagun. Nicola_M seemed fond of this alteration and I had only used it in the Test Server before. As expected, more than half of my shots didn't deal any damage to the enemy because of the slow projectile speed. It mainly worked on stationary targets. You'd need to get in close in order to hit your projectiles but that comes with the risk of even higher self-damage, but the splash damage was worth it sometimes. I used that during the New Year Celebrations on the map and did really well with it, mainly because everyone was mostly stationary wither waiting for the gold or huddled in the pile. ' Of course, the parameters would be most efficient at M4 and I have hard times as a light hull dodging projectiles from experienced Twins players, even from range. One thing about Twins is that it's not as scary as some of the other turrets with Viking's Overdrive. I'm able to survive against them if I have enough distance away from them. Overall, I think it requires more skill than it used to, and it's not a turret I enjoy playing, but I'll willingly use it sometimes for variety.

Try Stock Railgun instead and see how well you do without any powerups.

Some crystals and batteries. Got back around 110 Tankoins. Used it to buy 5 more and got all green rarity. I'm satisfied that I didn't lose too many Tankoins in the process.

No, it does not. That's not how the Micro-Upgrades system works.

Before the update, it would have been "Buy M2 Twins for 132,600 even though my upgrade is at 1.9?".

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

    Stock Railgun you're referring to?

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

So, I took another plunge. Opened my saved up Weekly Containers and bought "Death Herald" Compulsator for my Mk5 Railgun at Brigadier. Before, I alternated between RD, LCR and Scout to see how each performed against each other. So now, I was taking a plunge back to Stock Railgun's damage range. Remember this statement? Amplify this by 3. It is frustrating to use Stock Railgun's damage range. I often find myself in situations where I can only get off one shot before I die in the next few seconds, and that shot doesn't deal much damage. LCR would be great there for potentially finishing off the player and RD's impact force increase has a chance to save me time for another shot if its damage was low on the initial shot. At least with "DH"C you have the upside of higher overall damage output and most likely more kills. But Stock's damage? It's just disheartening. Now, comparing the effectiveness of Stock vs "DH"C is the hardest because it's the hardest to say how a battle would be if you used Stock instead of "DH"C or vice versa. The kill chains you get with "DH"C can result in soft resets of the enemy team. Their spawn locations can vary each time and that can disrupt an important push the other team could be initiating and then they can go on the counter attack. Killing a certain player via kill chaining can put them in a position to allow their team to spawnkill the enemies. All of these are possible but that isn't to say it will happen. To compare how battles would flow with Stock vs "DH"C requires too many factors to be taken into consideration, in the game and from the irl players (mindset towards the Railgun, how they approach after the encounters etc.) Hornet's Overdrive is where I'm able to let loose. My highest killchain so far has been 4. It is undeniable that I do better than Stock, but how the battle will flow (whether my team will ultimately win or lose) varies. Not once was I able to one-shot a medium hull from full HP though. Heck, I got 1436 damage against an unprotected Wasp when I had my Overdrive active expecting to get the kill. The Wasp then turned around and killed me. Unlucky me. My thoughts? Better than Stock, though the damage is still bad because it's still Stock in terms of damage per shot. It's just like my Stock Hammer vs Adaptive Reload battles. I don't do well with Hammer in general, but I always do better with Adaptive Reload and it makes life with it much less frustrating.
  16. The Wasps I see on top are the ones capturing flags and Rugby balls, or getting lucky with their bombs. That requires them to be more aggressive and drop their bombs around more enemies, hoping that they aren't disabled or countered. And the more kills you get with the bomb, the more bombs you'll drop in the battle. I wonder how things would be if Wasp got Hornet's Overdrive and vice versa when they were released.

    Release 24/01/2020

You may be forced to use supplies in high rank battles but you're definitely not forced to use Drones. Protection modules give a maximum of 1,200 GS. If your turret and hull are fully upgraded, then that's 8,000 GS for you. With a Drone, that goes up to a minimum of 70 to a maximum of 700. And then an alterations gives 99. So that person most likely had a fully upgraded hull and turret, most likely an alteration for the turret, and a Drone at 10/20. What do you mean by this? So it's a bad update if your team doesn't win every battle?
  18. TheCongoSpider

    Let's Discuss Drones!

This is what happens when you protection someone with the Saboteur Drone. Dozens of mines were triggered by enemies trying to kill that Dictator.
  19. Firebird has the same range as Isida and Freeze though, or are you saying that it shoots too far for the damage it can do? Also Hammer is a short-ranged turret, not melee-ranged. It's not going to deal damage farther than 70 metres. The medium and long ranged turrets can hit/kill them from across the map.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

Alright. Titan's Overdrive also lasts 20 seconds.
  21. TheCongoSpider

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

This has always been. Most likely a Drone has to do with this. In a medium-length or bad game, I could get it maybe 2 times at least. It's only when I'm able to pull off a lot kills (splash damage turret) in the 20 seconds while not dying is when I can get it 5-6 times (rare). But having a heavily-upgraded Driver drone increases that number. I wonder how battles would be now if it were left as 30 seconds like it was before. ? So your main issue seems to be the length of it. How low would you want it to last ideally?

    Discount Weekend - January 2020

I'm gonna take a stroll on one of my accounts and see how far I can get with 15 Coinboxes.
  23. Because your Freeze's parameters are aligned with being an Mk3 turret. The update makes it so that Mk 2 and 3 would have a visually M1 skin. Your Freeze is Mk3, thus it would have an M1 skin after the change.
  24. Ok, so I tried it with Gauss and Twins first, and I received self-damage from shooting the husk of the tank. Then I went on to Magnum. Hitting the husk itself causes splash damage. The first time I did it though, I didn't receive any damage for 3 shots when pressed up against the husk. Then I tried 2 more battles and in both of those battles, I received self-damage from shooting the husk. What I can conclude is that you were unfortunate to be going against the Magnums fortunate enough to not be affected any self-damage. As I have experienced, sometimes just sticking up to someone with Magnum and shooting them doesn't do any damage to the enemy or self-damage to you. I presume that is the case that's happening here except it's with Viking's Overdrive. I don't think I had any enemies round when I wasn't getting the self damage, so I can't tell if it damages enemies but not damage you at the same time.
  25. Oh well then they're not doing much damage to themselves. Pretty sure I've self-destructed many times from shooting the dead husk but would not deal any damage to enemies if the shot hit the husk with enemies around. Sometimes I do damage in that same situation. Will have to test it to see if it's still like that today. To my memory, I've had Thunder Vikings and Twins Vikings self-destruct half second after killing me leading me to believe that they do in fact take self-damage from shooting the husk.
