When it's the server update but you need 110 more score for a daily mission.

Yes, it happens. I'm pretty sure the devs are aware of this.

valid Mines idea. Mine alterations, different types of mines, different mines.

I like the idea of mine alterations. There is already a separate topic about mine alterations though.- 80 replies

RNG. I once got 5 straight lucky shots with my Magnum. 2 of them were ~4,150 damage allowing me to one-shot an enemy Titan. The others were around 3,800. Same thing for the opposite end. I go in expecting to one-shot a medium hull and I see 2,300 damage on them. Had a streak of unlucky shots at some point a while ago where I was constantly hitting below my average damage. They can get lucky and have the majority of their Viking Overdriven shots be lucky. They can get unlucky and have the majority of their Viking Overdriven shots be unlucky. Or, they can be the average tanker and have a healthy mix between lucky and unlucky, but then we get to Round Destabilisation which has a massive RNG element to it. The first Overdriven shot could deal 200 but then the next one can kill you from 2,800 HP. You can notice the RNG on that alteration. We can't see if they're getting lucky shots or not because the defense from Titan's dome waters down the damage. At the very least, it's funny to see a Viking Overdriven Twins flip the players inside the dome.

That looks like he just recently picked up Magnum. He uses the Booster Drone often, which will result in a one-shot kill anyway. The more kills he gets, the more Overdrive charge he gets. From my experience with that combo, you can activate your Hornet's Overdrive every minute if you're able to stay alive and be constantly aggressive. I can average around 30-40% of my overdrive by the time the 20 seconds is up. If I'm lucky, I can get up to 60-80% of my Overdrive back when the 20 seconds is up. I haven't tried out the new Magnum yet, I'll get to that soon.

And Mammoth just got buffed so that it would be able to use more Overdrives in a battle. B)
-
Sooo, does this mean you'd stop using Stock Railgun if you're looking for high score?
-
One thing to note is always how lucky you get with the damage distribution. Constant lucky shots will result in the kill faster. Adding a bunch of weak shots to that gimps the overall damage.
-
What are you trying to show here? That he got more crystals than you? You didn't get more than 2x that guy's score, so he'd still get more crystals than you. That's just the perks of having premium.

Because of the many Freeze kits being bought?

RIGHT?! Man I was so unfortunate that 6 of my 7 teammates are vertically challenged which puts more stress on me trying to heal them when they're constantly moving. When I saw the number of VIkings, I didn't think we were going to win that. Titan domes would have been a godsend for how much different turrets were shooting in the base every second. But that lag-with-healing this was a problem for a bit in that battle. I would be getting around 40 FPS but when I latch my beam onto the ally, I get a freeze frame for 2 seconds then go back to about 40. Rinse and repeat for about a minute until it stopped for itself. That started happening after the two Wasps dropped their bombs together. The final scores looked balance but the experience sure wasn't. I want to see how many players I catch using this parkour tactic in this map again. They're enjoyable if the teams are at a stalemate or if one is slightly better than the other. Ones where you're being spawnkilled by Viking Overdrives isn't fun, but both teams locking horns at each other.in all areas of the map is fun. Or they can draw. Stalemate battles like 1-1 or 2-2 are always engaging.

Because they removed the contributions of Skins, Paints and Supplies from the GS.

Should Viking really be buffed if it's played so often? And there were 3 Vikings on the enemy team. But enough about that. This specific battle was just crazy. We have all these Viking Overdrives going off, but what's worse, there is now a way to cheese capturing flags in this map in ASL. There were these 2 Thunder Wasp players that would drive up the ramp onto that small barrier there and parkour themselves into the flag capture. Most of the flag captures were like that. Sadly, we ended up losing 65-63 as they captured in the last seconds. They have a Gauss that keep shooting into our base. They had a Uranium Striker shooting into our base from the left bridge. I unequipped my Thunder module and was getting 2-shotted in less than 2 seconds. The constant bombs from the 3 Wasps in the enemy team made me lag every time I latched my beam onto an ally halfway into the battle. Waiiiit, I just realised, they had 9 players, who were all contributing. Wow, no wonder.

Interactions With The Enemy
TheCongoSpider replied to TheCongoSpider in Interactions With The Enemy Archive
Have you had any noteworthy experiences with a particular enemy, or maybe even a group of enemies? Share it here! There was this Freeze + Dictator on the enemy team that was a nuisance to me, and vice versa with my Vulcan + Dictator. Had a fierce rivalry in the battle. Given that Freeze is Vulcan's biggest weakness, I didn't expect to survive if I were within its range. I just barely missed the kill here when he started circling me. 30 seconds after that, we both spawned on the same side and were driving towards each other (the pathway on the right side of picture). Both of us have speed boost enabled. While revving up my barrels, I was thinking about whether to use double damage or double armour. I choose double armour, stopped and reversed behind the wall that is in the middle of the pathway. Coincidentally, the guy chose double armour right as I chose mine. I have the range advantage now and he's hiding behind the wall. I'm rocking my hull back and forth in place and he proceeds to do the same behind the wall while shooting his Freeze over the wall. I countered by shooting my Vulcan for a second, stopping and repeating. We did that for what felt like 30 seconds until an ally came along and we both killed him. I love these little taunt battles with random enemies sometimes. -
It was really to show that I got all those kills and hadn't died during the entire battle. I came close to dying twice and had to hide underneath their base (which is also a spawn point for their team). I'm sure I have a Dictator + Vulcan picture with higher score than that. I just have to look deep in all those screenshots I have.

I almost got them before he took the gold.
-
I almost forgot, a big thank you to the Freeze that helped cool my tank a few times in a battle against two Compact Tanks Firebirds. I can't remember the last time a Freeze did that for me, even when I was burning up in front of their eyes with no enemies in sight.
-
Well 3-5 kills is 30-50% Overdrive charge disregarding the passive charging. And you know what this also means? It means we'll get more Overdrive charge from capturing flags, Rugby balls and capture points. Be wary though and remember the Overdrive charge times of each hull and their respective % charge earnings for actions. At the beginning of the battle, you can have a rough idea of how far along your enemies are to getting their Overdrive by looking at their hull and their score and kills. That above is one of the advanced things when assessing things in MM battles. Requires concentration and the knowledge of the charge rates and charge given for actions though.
-
So alterations will now be factored in for GS. I don't see why they would do such a thing unless they are admitting that alterations have a noticeably game-changing effect in battles. And they removed the contributions of paints, skins, shot effects and supplies, so it may be getting a pretty hefty number assuming the numbers for the hull, turret, drone etc. are unchanged.
-
I don't see why it can't. The only thing that was removed was daily missions around the DM mode.
-
Yes, very much so. By the time you get 7 kills in the beginning of the average battle, you should have your Overdrive ready or in the 90s.
-
We may not have an increased duration, but we'll have more times to use it. I am almost certain that the Driver Drone's effect scales with how much charge each hull gets per kill. This means that Wasp and Dictator (and Mammoth after the change) would get more out of the Driver Drone than the other 4 hulls. This'll give me more incentive to get back to using Mammoth on my account. Stopped using that to use Wasp and Dictator to fit different playstyles.
-
I'm excited to see how the new Mammoth performs. The phrasing makes it sound as if it will get 20% more charge from battle points, which would mean that Dictator and Mammoth are to be on equal footing in terms or Overdrive charge time and charge earned from actions. I am certain that that range increase of its Overdrive is very negligible.
