I won't really say so. Remember, you have to get the kill and in matchmaking battles, you usually have help in killing enemies. Now there is also the chance that you used your last shot to hit the enemy and then a ranged turret kills it from afar with one shot and a new enemy is coming towards you. At that point, you're screwed since you need more than a full bar of ammo to actually kill them assuming you are alone at that point. The way I see it, this should be used as a means of defence of a point/flag or kill stealing in DM. The fact that there are so many players using ricochet protections ( that are very high too ) discourages me from even considering saving up crystals to buying this alteration. It just isn't worth it for me. I'm hoping for a major alteration balance change soon and hopefully, it also includes price changes for a lot of alterations, especially the 200k Striker alteration. That isn't as worth it as the "Hunter: Uranium" alteration because it is very hard to time when to trigger the explosion and most times it is done too early and does 1/6th of the damage while the Hunter uranium deals a butt load of damage just for decreased speed.

Here's a bug that's been happening to me for the past few days: I first noticed it in a Noice CTF. I'm isida and I'm trying to heal my teammates. Some time into the battle, I'm pressing spacebar but I'm realizing that I'm not seeing anything happening to the isida while I can clearly see my ammo bar is going down. Then suddenly I was able to attack my beam to the enemy then it promptly disappeared and went back to nothingness when the enemy got out of my cone angle. Fast foward a few battles later, I realized that the animation for when an isida is pressing spacebar but there is no one around ( the swirly ball of energy) disappeared during those battles. It would be fine for the first few minutes of some battles then completely disappears for the rest of the battle. Please look into this. I can't send a picture to prove this because it would look like I took a picture while reloading and not shooting. Although it isn't major, it is throwing me off of my game.

You couldn't have said it any better.

Quite possibly the biggest blowout I've ever participated in. We even stopped capping the flags at 95 score just to get more kills.

Now I don't want to falsely accuse people of hacking or manipulation of some sort but come on, why?!?! Why is there such a big gap between 2nd place and 1st place? I've been noticing it these past few weeks. This one, however, is the biggest gap I've seen so far. I checked the guy's profile and based on his statistics, it was very much possible for him to reach that high...but what is the motivation behind such a feat?

Welllll, I tested it with M4 ricochet in the test server in a no supply battle. If your enemy has any rico protection above 10%, the alteration isn't worth it tbh. I took a full clip and a few shots just to kill the person. The amount of ammo really is a stretch.

We need more gold box supply reward missions in general. They are so rare yet they are only 1k crystals in-game currency. Why are they so rare?

For being the lowest rank in the battle, I did pretty well compared to everyone else.

Today I opened 4. 125 Speed Boosts, 125 Speed Boosts, 3,500 Crystals, 125 Double Armors.

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?
TheCongoSpider replied to Ditzy-Dip in Archive
I was previously a shaft main on one of my accounts. I hate to admit it but I have targeted specific enemies in battles. In order for the player to become my target, he/she had to complain when I kill them the first time. If I kill them once and they rage in the chat, then they immediately become my target. Reason? Hypocrisy. While assessing whether or not to target the player, I look at the killfeed (back then it didn't have the icons, it was just 'nickname destroyed nickname') and see what turrets those players are using to kill the person. They would usually be Thunders and Railguns. The Thunders and Railguns are killing the player yet he loses his sanity when a shaft kills him/her. It's almost like Shaft was removed from the game at that point and the player was wracking his/her brain as to how I even had my hands on it. They get one shotted by a Rail: No biggie They get one shotted by a Shaft: *Spasm intensifies* Turrets are turrets; they all have different purposes. Why are you not getting mad at a player with a turret that had a low % chance of one-shotting you but lose your sanity when a turret designed to one shot you as it's primary feature one shots you? So my philosophy or my targeting "system" is if you rage because I am playing the objective with a turret available to everyone (DM battles), then you deserve to be targetted by me to teach you a lesson not to be hypocritical. They brought it on themselves. But yeah, I was used to it, I enjoyed hearing their rants when I killed them because in reality, I was playing the objective and I did nothing wrong in killing them. -

So I was just wildin with Shaft in the test server and this guy (test_dongoanywhere) was dropping golds in MM battles. Soooo, in one battle he dropped one, I was using Heavy capacitors so I had to wait a good while to charge up, I shot the person who was closest to the gold box and it turns out that it was him. Fast foward to the next battle in a Barda RGB, he drops one and when I entered, it was dropping. I noticed him and shot him before he could take the gold and this is how he reacted: [image removed.] This is what makes me mad in Tanki, people can't seem to just be humble and take the L when it's handed to you. Now, this was in the test server meaning it had no censors but I see people do this too often on the real servers when normal everyday occurrences in battles happen. Everyone wants things handed to them yet when someone denies them that using a legal method inside the game that is accessible to the "victim", they can't control their rage. Instead of just typing in the chat, "God damn it shaft xD" or something like that, they have to stoop low and shout profanities one after the other. -
Give us the option to disable protection modules in no-supply battles. Hello again everyone, as you know, protection modules make a big impact in the gameplay of high ranks, especially when there are no supplies involved. In theory, a team with the same modification of a single turret as the enemy team will win if the enemy team has a considerably less % of protection against said turret. I've noticed that protection modules are basically the decider of the battle from the start. One team has 10-25% varying protections against the enemy turrets while the other team has 35-50% against the former team. This is somewhat demotivating because my mentality, and possibly others, would be to just delay our defeat long enough to milk some more EXP and crystals. Now sometimes, it's the opposite of what I expect and the team with the disadvantage wins but it's almost always because of bad strategy by the stronger team or the lack of players who can turn their turret or make smart decisions when under pressure in the stronger team. I've thought about how it would affect the balance of the battles, particularly Polygon CPs and Noise CTFs. In Polygon CPs, it would be more intense and strategy dependent because you get killed faster but the upside is that you get to kill faster as well. :) In Noise CTFs, it won't really go so well because now the Red team can dominate a bit more comfortably but not too comfortable now that the blue team can also take advantage of them not having protections. What do you guys think?

Wow, Vladimir Beletskiy was one of the only 3 names with faces I used to remember back in 2014, it's finally good to see his face again! I wonder if he's still on the tanki Team? His voice sounded the best back but first place will always be Alex.

valid EXP for extinguishing and unfreezing
TheCongoSpider replied to sensei_tanker in Ideas and Suggestions
It's a real pain when I'm isida and my ammo is at 10% while my teammate is at 15% health and burning furiously. At that point, whenever I see a freeze that notices I don't have much ammo left and he outs the fire and then sprinkles some freeze in my face before driving away, I make sure to thank them, no matter the language barrier. I don't believe that you should get EXP for this but it is a good indicator for a player to know that you are experienced, or maybe it shows that you read things before playing -_- Why do people not read descriptions, they just jump straight into the game without asking themselves the questions that need to be asked and then complain when they don't do good in the game when they could have taken full advantage of a mechanic that was clearly stated in the description of the item they were using.- 69 replies

Heh, yeah I've noticed it on my Titan and my Viking. Recently though, I was chasing a wasp M3 who was going towards my flag in an Industrial Zone CTF and the explosion animation for the bomb for Wasp's overdrive happened. Instead of being excited, I was a bit blinded because it happened so suddenly and my tank was in the face of the blast, then 2 allies and a player on the enemy team kept asking what the heck blew up until I told them what happened.

I agree that Railgun is underpowered and needs a buff in ONLY the minimum damage though. But here's the thing, Tanki would need to make another major rebalance because I'm pretty sure in the last one, they made rail to be balanced in BOTH regular battles and XP/BP battles. The damage ranges need to be perfect and that can be hard to achieve with the number of turrets and hulls currently in the game. Also, a few of the alterations for rail seem like upgrades instead of...well....alterations. Like Hyperspace Rounds, It only decreases the damage by 10% yet the overall damage can be doubled for the second tank that gets hit in a row in its line of fire and so on. That can crush groups of tanks and as you saw above in one of the pictures, it has dangerous potential. Death Herald Compulsor is another one that seems like an upgrade instead of an alteration.

I haven't played with the sound enabled in years...

Might I suggest this for Shaft? Perhaps this was that drill looking thing picture we saw for the 5th alteration for Shaft. ( Or was it a laser and not a drill? ) Drill-tipped Ammunition: Regular ammunition is replaced with heavier drill-tipped ammunition for slightly increased damage and the ability for shots to pierce through enemies. Due to the increased weight of the shells, turret rotation speed and reload time are negatively affected. ( I'm pretty sure this description could have been worded better. ) (+) Sniping shot damage increased by 10% (+) Arcade shot damage increased by 25% (+) Shots can now penetrate a tank and damage several behind. (-) Turret rotation speed decreased by 35% ( Sniping mode and arcade mode ) (-) Reload increased by 25% Cost: 140,000 crystals. What do you guys think?

Huh, well that always seemed to work for me. This is without the alteration in case you missed that.

Thank you, and in case any of you don't have the alteration, the Velocities are 100-55-15.

For the first part, I'd say because of the effort and concentration it takes just to aim at a far away enemy. Maybe it can also be that it seemed less rewarding to play with than say...Thunder, Firebird and Ricochet. For why there are suddenly more Strikers now after the alteration update, I'd say because people are seeing that it had always been viable but no one ever used it because why use something hard when you can get the same results or better by using something easier, am I right? I'm not sure if this will back up my statements but these days, in no supply battles, the majority of strikers, instead of shooting 1 missile at an enemy WHO CLEARLY IS AT LOW HEALTH, they want to put a full salvo on them and make their 2+ allies who were battling the player die before the missiles get to him. That annoys the absolute frick out of me. I always assume those are the players who just bought the turret and are now getting into the wonderful world of salvo kills.

Opened 2 containers on my WO4 account, got 125 speed boosts and this. Saw it flashed Yellow and got excited, I wanted it to be 300,000 crystals but I was disappointed. :/
