I suppose we will see how it works. I've always felt that the cool part of it is being able to charge forward and instantly kill stuff. Getting fully repaired is better than being invincible imho as it requires you to still be aware of your health. This update will make mammoth better in battle and worse as a digger Im guessing

Nice changes. Im obviously glad that Hunter's OD is nerfed a bit, but not too much....well done. Glad to see mamoth's timing increased while also not making it able to dig on golds and essentially mult the whole game lel Nice job

This does look like a good battle except that you seem to have a mult and are a man down. Besides that tho, thats what I like about legend battles. If you dont mult, you have a good shot. As for exploiters, I havent seen anything that seems shady...are there known bugs to exploit unfairly?

There does seem to be a good balance of hulls used. So I dont camp...I attack, which means hunters use their overdrive a lot on me. Sometimes I play hunter myself, but dont enjoy mediums as much. I think my point is you can play around most overdrives. You can move from wasp's bomb. You can kill hornet quickly or stay hidden. You run when dictator uses its power, you can keep distance from mamoth. You can wait out Titan's dome. But hunter....they press shift, dont even need to aim and its gg for you -

Yep, so if you are playing well, youre gonna get huntered 3-5x meaning you just die a lot. I do definitely agree that hornet's OD charges quickly, but Hunters is soo fast. Just removes any ability to interact with the hunter player...they press shift and you are frozen -

The distance is pretty large....its whatever distance I tend to engage enemies within. THe delay is relevent but then I'm frozen for what....3 seconds. If it was more of simply deactivating drugs it would be a weaker yes, but less overwhelming ability. I'm not saying Hornet is strong. It is, but I never see teams full of hornets...I do see teams full of hunters, and they can take over battles with that OD. Im glad they boosted Hunter, just maybe a small nerf to the paralyze time or decrease of charge rate would be nice. Ultimately I'd be fine with OD's being less influential in the battle, but thats not what devs want. I am fine with people picking weak hulls and using them to get good scores -

Yeah, so I'm finding the interactive amount in a game is oppositely related to the number of hunters. I just played a game and got huntered 4 times...theres nothing I could do, right? Hornet takes skill....wasp and mamoth take a lot of skill to not waste. Hunter just presses shift and welp you are dead....there's no thought/skill. So lame -

The hunter is a much better hull statwise...Hornet's OD turns it into an offensive glass cannon. Lots of damage but its still hornet...dies to everything. Hunter has the second best stats in most people's opinions (given the number of hulls being medium and hunter right after viking), and add an overdrive that can nuke an entire base -
I used to play Thunder more, but stopped due to constantly facing 50% protection from everyone. Now, with Gauss and other turrets being more common, I've been able to use thunder to decent effect more often. It is frustrating to do half damage just bc people equip thunder prot by default, but that happens less now

So the nerf gives freeze longer damage but less freezing? I didnt think freeze was a problem. I wish they could find a way to encourage fire/freeze on light hulls and discourage on medium/heavies. The old freeze wasp is a great tool....circle strafing is super powerful, altho maybe not anymore

I think there were a few younger characters in our clan who were trying this a year ago, but it stopped working at some point, or at least they havent talked about it for some time

Hunter, Viking, and Hornet's OD all can lead to massive kill streaks. Heavy Hulls have more of defensive ones, but Wasp....like how often does its bomb go off and you see no tanks blown up. Happens a lot to other ppl in my battles. I also rarely see it. Maybe at M0 ranks it can be a wasp spam, but in higher ranks, wasp needs help, not help taken away -
True. I rarely see people with 0 score tho, usually its 3-14-43. So they did stuff, just spent the entire game getting killed, which means I spend the entire game getting killed

A good rule of thumb is, play the game. If you arent doing that, ie hiding and waiting for an enemy to come by, not using supplies so you get wrecked, or just not playing, like the guy above said, you are a mult. I dont think there are that many multiple accounts...mostly its just players being noob. In mid/low ranks I can understand the equipment different, but in higher battles theres no excuse for like woverine said 0/12 k/d or something similar

I played a DM game and got "Huntered" I think five times in a row....went from doing well to five deaths quickly...nothing I could do. I would say I love hunter's overdrive but maybe slow it down a bit like Viking's so it cant be used so often -
I would say the higher ranks where there is less difference between equipment quality is where its at. You also have the least variance in player skill altho its still pretty high even in legend battles. I would say that the thing that turns me off from high rank battles is the protection. Some turrets like rail/twins are almost unusable up there because the moment you equip it, the entire field will have 50% against you. In the M2 ranks, you can play anything essentially. People might protect vs you but it doesnt make your turret completely useless since its 15-25% usually

This is unfortunate that people criticize based upon the number, and perhaps it does show something. What is frustrating and what a bad k/d can show, is that a player is hurting their team. Almost every battle, even TDM, I see players at the bottom...legends even, with like a 3-16 k/d. 3 kills, 16 deaths....at the end, I'm fighting for my life, and I realize some players were just dying the whole game...thats frustrating to play with unless it an isida player or something

That's not entirely true, unless you can show math to prove me wrong lel. Anything higher than my k/d will bring it up, and any lower will bring it down. You are correct tho that the amount of kills vs deaths is huge if I want to bring it up, which is difficult since I dislike spamming heavy/medium hulls and enjoy wasp/hornet more :D

K/d is one of those somewhat meaningless numbers that dont affect the game at all and I'm glad exist, but also is constantly in the back of my mind as a competitive person. I'm glad that tanki offers such detailed account information...its one thing that keeps me playing, especially as I head towards 100k kills. However, it does mean that I get frustrated in battles when I'm maybe doing well, but doing well with a bad k/d. I wish I could ignore it, but I am weak. At some point, however, the amount of battles needed to change the number even .01 is huge. I've been maybe a 1.2 k/d person and no matter what, that number isnt going up or down lol, which is good since I get wrecked in xpbp a lot. Btws, pro battles, being longer, lead to less care for k/d. In a short 7 minute battle, a nice 19-13 k/d is what people aim for, because the game is ultimately meaningless, while in a 200 point polygon battle, winning is worth a lot more

Agreed. Especially if you are still a low rank, learn how to drive and fight with your wasp. It will make you a better player when you get to higher ranks. Players who spam heavy hulls early on will have a higher k/d but perhaps not the driving and shooting skill you will have

My biggest advice on this will also help you improve as a player and it has to do with how you use supplies. I play a lot of lights, so if I want to do decently in battle I need to take every advantage I can, and one I consistently find is in my use of supplies. I see a lot of players pop DD or SB when they spawn in. I love to see this as I tend to hit them with full drugs and can wipe them out quickly. When you spawn, your default should be to use armor. This will protect you from being instantly killed by a stray railgun or striker shot while also keep you from getting spawn killed quickly. Tanki gives out so many free supplies that you should be able to almost always activate armor. Then as you approach the enemy, use speed boost. If you time it right or pause for a moment, you should arrive in enemy territory right when you damage becomes available. Thus, you should be consistently battling with full drugs activated. That alone will give you a lot of good k/d games without camping and effectively multing

So I'm currently upgrading my Mammoth. Besides the overdrive is there any reason to use it? I don't go for gold. Ive seen Titan as a midfield-defender role, since it can create mobile defense zones with the dome. Mammoth seems much more suited for defense...what combos go best with it?

Which alt would you all suggest for using with hornet? I'm assuming not the autocannon

I wish that medium hulls were weakened overall. Currently go into any battle at 75%+ of users will be spamming viking and hunter. If they were weakened a bit and maybe heavys were slowed as well, you would actually have players playing diffferent rolls besides spawning in with viking and driving towards the enemy. Currently medium hulls can do anything, basically as well as lights and heavies

This is certainly false. Tanki gives out sooo many free supplies that even free players can keep up. My clan is full of f2p players who only play MM battles. They MIGHT be low on repairs sometimes, but thats only before another large shipment of supplies arrives. If people dont use supplies, that is ok, but it is their choice, not the game's fault
