    I love longer battles too, butt...longer battles lead to longer blowouts. Tanki is a game filled with runners and despite removing strategy, 7 minute battles do keep runners to a minimum. They would have to do something big to make up for increased number of rummers if they lengthened the battles. And lastly they dont undo updates unfortunately, so if they were to length battles it wouldnt be to 15 mins

    Im not sure what this screen is showing. You played fine. Assault battles are lopsided many times, much like real sieges I assume. Some battles the defenders get the base locked down the attackers have trouble getting in. Or perhaps the attackers get a magnum spotted in the base or a freeze clears the base and the attackers will win quickly.

    1. What? How are they a disaster? Try to bacl up these claims with evidence. Overdrives add so much variety and are free. 2. Matchmaking is fine. We forget how many 10v3 blowouts there were before. Those dont happen any more. 3. How are they a scam? 4. Why should a free person have as good of stuff as a paying person? Why are you owed anything. Tanki gives a TON of free stuff.

    I agree about Wasp's overdrive. The others are pretty solid and add a lot of cool gameplay variance
  12. This game is at least as good now as it was last year. Battles are super intense with a lot going on and there is so much free stuff that f2p player can keep up to somewhat with buyers.

    You should 100% keep using this acct. thunder viking is a fine combo. Work on finishing your missions each day and i bet you have m2 crystals soon enough. Might not be your thing, but $7 will also get you two weeks of premium and double crystals so thatd get you caught up quickly

    I just looked at your profile...you have thunder and viking m1 plus a bunch of other m1 turrets. You should be saving for m2 kits. Thunder viking is a fine combo to hold you till you get m2s. Maybe you could upgrade them, but if you do, you will have a few levels of playing with m1s vs m2s

    True but that dome isnt that big. In highland yes, but defending titans or mamothers will respawn and hopefully be able to fight back. That is a good observation tho. Highland is a small map that also spawns in a choke point which can lead to massacre

    People that go into a battle and say "gold plz" and then leave, tend to be highly made fun of. If you wait for gold to drop and then leave afterwards, that is called multing and can get you in trouble. Just play matches and have fun

    Basically all short range turrets are great at spawn killing. Fire/freeze/hammer/isida/twins...all of these can end you quickly. I just played several games in highland and both games had a lot of powerful viking assaults....Titan was MVP here. Providing that dome allowed our team to continually rally and drive the attackers back.

    I kinda wish teams were bigger, thus balancing out stronger players hopefully more often. Ive seen some 12v12 old games, with no spawning...I did also see players with ridiculous k/ds tho in those games too so idk

    You probly need a decent m1 kit so you dont hate your life before getting to m2 ranks. Im a big fan of kits that let you grind in the early ranks, so if you want to save up your drugs, get a medium or heavy hull kit and play a lot of polygon/island until you can get to the m2 ranks. From there you can play xpbp, and maybe get a second kit to give you flexibility. By that time you should have 3 protections at least. I chose to microupgrade my stuff to m3, but then I had to wait for months before I could actually upgrade them to m3 at marshal. Idk if ppl would suggest using upgrades lower in the ranks

    Yes, you can report it...idk how to get rid of it....I posted but it said error...twice so..yeah Three things that I have seen help vs spawn killing altho not a final help is trooper drone, titan, mamoth and hunters OD. Hunter and titan especially as they can stop spawn killing instantly. We will see how they work in the future. Any maps that see it more than others?

    Spawn killing is something that happens in a nonzero number of games. One team pushes forward and gets a number of kills on enemies who are just entering the game. There might be another topic about this, but I think it would be interesting to talk about what causes this and how it can be prevented. What I think causes it: One team is just better by a lot than the other. We've all seen players who cant turn their turrets, who use speed boost when the enemies is close by, etc...sometimes this happens and I dont know if it can be helped...its a thing in every game, some are better than others. One team has more runners which aren't replaced. When you are low on numbers, every defender now is responsible for more opponents. Some maps lend themselves to spawn killing. Some of the worst blowouts I've seen are in highland. The attacking team pours into the defending base and the defenders have nowhere to go. What I do not think causes it: Lack of ability to use supplies: I don't want this to be a hate druggers topic. Everyone gets a bagillion armors and damages so everyone can defend themselves. Lack of ability to use drones: Drones help but are only a small percentage of an advantage....now overdrives are lovely as they are free and give a variety of bonuses. So, where do you see spawn killing the most? What causes it, and how can teams/players adapt to keep from regularly getting wrecked

    Good list, except I would move hunter up above hornet as being the best...maybe mamoth is there too. Wasp unfortunately got the most noob overdrive as Ive Not seen it do much at all. Actually it is hard to rank them. Hornet is my fav currently...being anle to race into a titans dome and kill everything is amazing. Hunter and viking are multipurpose, and titans is the best defensive one. Mamoth is wierd...the speed boost kinda makes it an offensive weapon

    I know this is the overdrive place but I would like to discuss what exactly causes spawn killing, more in depth. Wolverine your point makes sense altho Im not convinced that itself leads to spawning. I play fast hulls so I cover a lot of ground quickly, but rarely last long in a base. MOst everyone has plenty of armor and damage drugs, with repairs being something in low supply, so most everyone can fight back against powered up enemies...at least from what Ive seen. I also wonder if certain maps lead to this more. Highland tends to be a blowout map in my experience. Anyway maybe Ill create a new topic

    Thanks for writing all of that. Your definition of exploiter is interesting...I'll be thinking about it a bit. You have 1100 hours in game and have earn 1.5 million crystals. Since youve only purchased 1 hulls and a few turrets, just use the remaining crystals to get a medium hull. As for hornet's overdrive, it is either my favorite or second favorite...so usefull. Pop overdrive, then vaporize that fully drugged up titan

    Actually you both have good points. 1. @Diesel: I do have a decent garage true, but my point was that alts arent needed for many of those turrets. And yes people should save crystals for buying and upgrading equipment, not buying alts. I do sometimes forget that not everyone has the same equipment, but I do think there are ways that nonbuyers especially can keep up....buying alts is a quick way to bury oneself behind a buying account. 2. @both: The idea of showing which people are in a group is a good one. I am interested in why groups will tend to dominate nongroups. I've never communicated when playing in a group, but maybe we were just 3 individually good players? Idk...I also tend to lose a lot even when in group. Any thoughts on what makes groups better than nongroups? 3. @Wolvering: Happy to use speed or double damage, meaning I see a lot of ppl spawn in, activate speed and then die. I'm not sure why I don't see it happen, like I'm no different than any other player...I usually play hornet/wasp, so I should be experiencing it just as much if not more than heavier hulls. I do press the attack from the moment of spawning, so I rarely die instantly, but I suppose it does happen. What is the different between getting spawn killed a lot and not?
